Mexico 2025 # Officially Trapped (Patreon)
Content
There are very few photos taken by me in this post...
And honestly… I barely photographed anything that day at all))) But I think you can understand me. On literally the first day of our trip - our little romantic getaway that Gary promised me - he proposed. So tell me, how exactly was I supposed to focus on photography, inspiration, nature or literally anything else… when suddenly there was a huge ridiculously beautiful ring on my finger?)))
Most of these photos were actually taken by Gary.
And honestly, they don’t even capture one tenth of how beautiful that place really was. Not even close.
Although I guess the title “Officially Trapped” already speaks for itself))) You can decide for yourselves which one of us actually got trapped here - me or him.
And honestly, for someone who never really dreamed about getting married, this whole experience turned out to be much more emotionally overwhelming than I expected. It’s funny because I was always ready for love. Ready for a relationship. Ready to build a family. Ready to move countries together. Ready to spend my life with this man. But somehow… I wasn’t ready for the “official” part of it. Not emotionally. I never had this childhood dream about weddings or being “someone’s wife”. Marriage always existed in my head more like: “Yeah, maybe that’ll happen someday.” Not like a life goal. And when it actually happened, I realized how hard it is to fully process something so huge in the moment - especially when you weren’t mentally preparing yourself for it at all.
That trip was emotionally chaotic for me in every possible way. Joy. Fear. Excitement. Overwhelm. I’m the kind of person who likes things slowly, gently, predictably))) I like having time to emotionally arrive somewhere before life suddenly throws me into it. And surprises… even beautiful ones… are not always easy for me. Maybe that’s why I felt so many different emotions at once.
But now more than a year has passed since we got engaged. And honestly? Nothing changed. Or actually… things only became better. Our relationship became calmer. Stronger. Softer. And every single day I become more sure that saying “yes” was the only one right decision 💗
