🇹🇷 The Duman journey continues LIVE! After checking out Senden Daha Güzel, Aman Aman, Bu Akşam and Öyle Dertli on YouTube, we’re heading back to Bostancı Gösteri Merkezi in Istanbul on 4 October 2003 to experience the band on stage!

We’re watching Haberin Yok Ölüyorum, Köprüaltı, Ah and Olmadı Yar, in that order — four performances with around 24 minutes of source footage before my commentary! That’s four different songs from our YouTube line-up, taking us deeper into Duman’s music through these early live performances.

Thank you so much for supporting the channel! ❤️

First up is Haberin Yok Ölüyorum (I’m Dying and You Don’t Know It), from their 2002 album Belki Alışman Lazım. It’s about feeling as though you’re falling apart without the other person realising how much you’re hurting. Several of you specifically pointed me towards this Bostancı performance, so this is where our live journey begins!

Then we have Köprüaltı (Under the Bridge), from their 1999 debut album Eski Köprünün Altında. The lyrics centre on longing, separation and the hope of meeting a loved one beneath an old bridge — returning to a private place where they can be together.

Next is Ah, also from Belki Alışman Lazım, with lyrics by Kaan Tangöze and music by Batuhan Mutlugil. It portrays someone absorbed in their own world, finding moments of happiness while others misunderstand them. There’s more here than the title’s sigh might initially suggest!

Our bonus finishes with Olmadı Yar (It Didn’t Work Out, My Love), Duman’s cover of the song recorded by Asya in 1999. It’s about being abandoned without an explanation, and the feeling that a late return or expression of regret cannot undo the damage — an emotionally charged song to close our four-performance selection.

Which performance stood out most to you — and which Duman live performance should I watch next? 🇹🇷

I love this band's studio recordings, but I don't like their live versions because they don't go on stage sober—they’re constantly drunk.

Miya

That vocal style is called “ağıt” which you have heard before in the folk songs you checked out before. Agit is a folk style that is sang when someone dies.

He is definitely all over the place because he is drunk and high at the same time haha 🤣🤣 there is a reason why they called their band “smoke”….

Ahmet Baklan

7:42 good point Sam he's crying for help because his lines says: "You have no idea, I am dying."

Sylph EA

Apparently, getting drunk as hell unlocked his vibrato era 😂

Su-L
