You guys are absolutely amazing!!! Happy late holidays, hope everyone here and letts react fam had a great time 🙏

Christian Nevarez

Kenny, some of your predictions seem pretty sus at times😏😂

MajinGotenks

5 Stages of sadness, stage 1: denial

yob

bakugone😭😭

yob

"can I still catch up to you, izuku?" I'm jumping bye yall

Jaques Von Straus

"Tell him theres a group chat he's not part of!" I died

Phantom Egg

I love that Montana's examples of middle school bully taunts still don't even compare to Bakugou's in the first episode haha. "You're not in the group chat!" Is tame in comparison.

Jackson Boi

This episode broke the internet

EnderAnnie Post

Why can't MHA S7x12 come out on Thursday? (Thursday 5th December.)

Simone Johnson

He’s my favorite character but i had to get out denial so sad 💔

Jordan Koehn

Thanks for the triple drop!! Not getting ep 13 next week is going to stress me out haha such a great one.

Tigerclaw

pretty much every episode from 7x8 on is peak lol

Pugz

So… 5 stages of grief… 😭

Letts React

We just did a triple drop we need time lol

Limini

The silence after seeing Bakugo dead Like he looks so pale, I didn't know what to say either

Limini

Bakugos quirk awakening and his little sparks made him look so ethereal just to kill him off like that ://

Limini

"We're going to Shibuya now" 😂😂😂

Limini

Montana Im feeling you so much. Hand heart right back at you. Bakugo is just fine! The paleness is just an artistic choice lol

Limini

The movies are all canon! So the vestige is probably literally there.

yob

it stung even more because of how PRETTY they drew bakugo this episode like omg😭😭

Letts React

Ill take that as a compliment! I can say with 100% certainty (Other than accidentally seeing the fact that a certain tea loving person helped with a prison defense) that I am totally unspoiled!!!

Limini

Seeing Bakugo so quiet and focused and truly just powering through it was insane

Stache King

So I figured with the triple drop, I'd just save my thoughts on all three episodes for this. Episode 9 was the beginning of the fight between All for One and the Top 2 heroes and they had a good strategy get bogged down by his taunting Endeavor. However, this was made up for by Jiro getting her big moment in this episode and extending into the next one. But this was not Tokoyami's big moment. No that is still to come. Episode 10 continues where 9 left off and gave us, in my personal opinion, Patrick Seitz's best vocal performance of Endeavor since the High End Nomu fight. Yet even that Prominence Burn wasn't enough to put AFO down for good . . . yet. You'll see what I mean, in the next episode he appears in. And now for Episode 11, good Lord, this episode. This is the first of The Big 5 episodes of this season in terms of emotional heavyweights. Bakugo's death literally broke the internet. And not gonna lie, I thought someone from The Big 3 was dying here instead. That card was the object in the credits I was eluding to in my hints. Needless to say, they did not pull punches for this season. And wanna know the crazy thing, to me at least, that isn't even the most emotional death of the season. I'll just let that sink in.

yani

One for all also amps up the power of other quirks, what if bakugo is reaching a similar strength level to the movie?

Stache King

Because that's the date this episode would have come out, and people have been saying this episode and episode 10 should be a double drop.

Limini

I never truly realized suneaters potential until this episode and how truly fitting his name is

Letts React

Did u see his eye animation make the crossed shape of him having one for all in the movie??? Crazy good detail

Limini

His star shaped eyes, his blood dripping as he walks up to shiggy, the tiny explosions, his teary, his All might card, I can't handle all of that 😫😫😫

Limini

The todoroki and Bakugo development are truly the best parts of mha along with the hero cheesiness

melo edits

Still ruins me. That shot of dead Bakugo looks more gruesome compared to the manga. His pale face and his open lifeless eyes. Like whyyy 😭

Noboi

Yeah, I cried. It's honestly rare that I cry during these sorts of things ngl. I think it's also just the whiplash of last episode featuring a somewhat underwhelming character arc, only for this one to come in. Like, the animation, voice acting, and writing was all so breathtaking here.

HBelmont67

Look at the blood stain on Bakugo's chest. I don't think his heart stopped; I think it BURST. 💥💔😨

HBelmont67

I'm so proud of Tamaki this episode. Not only hearing the timid guy tell, "GET REKT!" to the Symbol of Fear himself, but also learning that HE was the one to first extend friendship to Nejire when they met in high school at a time when she was down on herself. 🥰

HBelmont67

NOOOOO! Not that spoiler!

HBelmont67

I cannot WAAAAIIIIT for them to see Mirio next episode.

Danny C

Commenting before I watch this: I’m sorry in advance for what you’re about to watch

Limini

when they first showed the shot with the heart I was afraid that bc of his quirk awakening and his explosions coming off everywhere that he would explode his own heart. Not that shiggy punching it is any better

Letts React

I had a similar thought, this was so shocking it wasn’t tear inducing, just PURE SHOCK

Ellie

“I’ve gotta defeat him… right, Izuku?” will literally never get over this

HBelmont67

Thanks so much for the triple drop, Kenny. These were the PERFECT episodes for such a drop.

HBelmont67

The heck do you mean "underwhelming?"

Brandon Lange

The reason why the weather change is so cool is because bakugo produced so much heat, he changed the air pressure causing rain just like all might in the 2nd episode

HBelmont67

"Coincidence? I think NOT!"

HBelmont67

It's not just him. Endeavor and Dabi were definitely part of the reason as well. But yeah, cool callback to episode 2.

Kleed44

So glad I joined the Patreon and about to be binging some premium reactions! :)

yob

gonna be quoting bakugo this episode in the nursing home istg

Kleed44

Yup! Super happy to be here and thanks for the welcome! :)

nic ˚୨୧⋆｡

"he looks fine!" montana is literally all of us coping

Subaru130

I'm absolutely with you on that glimpse of the All Might vestige being a little nod to Heroes Rising and Bakugo having had OFA for a short period of time. Means a lot to fans of the movie, but you don't need the context because non-movie watchers will just think it's symbolism. I love it so much because Hori managed to work it into such an emotional scene with so much meaning to the character.

Noboi

@H-bomb 24. Endeavor’s a super interesting character that just so happens to have a massively underdeveloped arc. I say this as someone who used to heavily praise the character ngl They kind of address this with my question last episode too which was nice

Noboi

@Letts React. Yeah, basically nobody saw this coming.

Noboi

Ayy! It’s Kleed!

Kiribukai

Yes, it’s so beautiful! Wonderfully done! 🥹

Danny C

Okay, back after finishing: This episode never gets easier to watch 😭 Yeah Kenny, I think because of the movies being canon, this was Horikoshi’s way of connecting to it without the implication that Balugo’s quirk got stronger. Someone pointed out to me a while ago that Bakugo almost always has his hands in his pocket in the show, and he likely always had All Mights card on him, which is EVEN sadder. Idk man, the fact that he kept a card he got as a kid at the same time as Deku? Literally makes my heart so full

BojacksReacts

Kenny last ep- this show doesn’t kill off anyone 🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚

Gestrid

It's more clear in the manga, apparently, but, what happened is that some of Bakugo's sweat leaked out near his heart. (His sweat wasn't just leaking out all over his skin, but all over his body.) Shigaraki hit his chest, triggering Bakugo's sweat to explode, destroying his heart.

BojacksReacts

Random nurse: Why the hell is he pissing me off😭😭👌

BojacksReacts

Regarding the OFA/ vestige scene. My thought is that hori made heroes canon using this method. 1: bakugo had OFA, and in that moment those embers merged with him, and like all might said the embers chose to stay or go, but this statement DOESNT mean they can’t exist freely within multiple users🤷🏽‍♂️. 2: the convo between might and bakugo happened during the end of heroes when they both were knocked out. Might was making contact watching over him, just like with deku and that’s when their convo took place. OFA can do some much more than when it started, so obviously this is all speculation, but I think hori is clearly feeding people’s thoughts purposefully

L.C.

No bakugo has nothing to do with one for all. All Might did not leave his ghost in bakugo lol. Entirely nothing to do with one for all being with bakugo. They had that happen in the movie and it was Horikoshi's scrapped idea of one of his final endings where Deku lets bakugo use one for all with him in the final battle but Horikoshi wanted something better for the finale so it was thrown into the movie. Bakugo seeing the vestige ghost of all might is just symbolizing him speaking to all might about how he feels.

Mortis

Or you know. He saw the vestige because he saw the vestige. The movies are canon.

Letts React

I disagree haha they very strongly suggested that was a vestige from when Bakugo had one for all, look at his eye at one point it even looks the same as when he had one for all, I think its a little silly to think the movies are canon yet that's not a vestige

HBelmont67

That's an interesting accusation. Could you elaborate?

HBelmont67

Dude, what are you even commenting? Everything I've seen you say is either a drawn-out complaint or misinformation.

Kiribukai

The silence after seeing Bakugo’s lifeless body was my exact reaction too. I couldn’t believe what I had just watched. I ended up watching this episode over again a few days after it premiered and I bawled like a baby. And to this day this episode is still so hard to watch. It’s beautiful and it was the perfect send off for my favorite character (in all of anime, not just MHA), but dang, it hurts so bad. 💔 Bakugo thinking back on Deku, the All Might card… (I also read that if you go back and watch the episodes where Bakugo and All Might are around each other, Bakugo had his hand in his pocket MEANING HE ALWAYS HAD THE CARD WITH HIM and was always wanting to ask him for an autograph.) and in the Manga it said something like “looks like I lost my chance to ask you this..” pain. All pain. I can’t handle it.

HBelmont67

I hope you'll use Godzilla's atomic breath for Suneater's Plasma Cannon, Kenny. That would make for a cool edit.

Noboi

@H-Bomb 24. Only a little, since this goes into spoiler territory, but long story short, Endeavor’s atonement is pretty half-assed as a story beat, which sucks because his “I want to atone” line is one of my favorite moments, but it’s aged super poorly because as of right now, his only act of atonement that he isn’t actively forced into doing was done directly after that speech. Everything else has been hero-work related. Like, him fighting the villains super well and “helping the younger generation” straight up isn’t atonement by definition. And I’d give the character more leeway if Toya wasn’t right there on the battlefield wanting to confront Enji, but instead the story just prevents that from happening even though Toya is basically on a time limit now. It makes Endeavor’s “I need to keep looking after Toya” line feel like a super disingenuous joke instead of an actual promise (the reasoning for this also delves into spoilers). As a realistic depiction of a man who grew guilt for his actions, Enji’s pretty good, but as a character with an arc about making amends and atoning? He’s honestly a copout at best. I think last episode kind of has the best example of this where rather than the story having him actually atone with his actions, it instead has him have a metaphorical conversation in his brain about changing again. This being seen as a massive step for the character just feels disingenuous again since rather than watching him progress and let his actions speak for him, the story instead opts for him just being perpetually stuck in the process of finding out what he’s done wrong while things get actively worse. And again, I can’t really go into much detail since there’s obviously more to come this season (and in the manga), but as it stands, Enji’s a perfect example for me of how not to write an arc about atoning, because it half-asses the most important thing, his actions. And as a former fan of Endeavor, this hurts to say.

Kiribukai

Also, none of the other reaction channels I watch mentioned this either, but is anyone else wondering about the connection they established between Bakugo and the 2nd OFA user in this episode???? Are they related? Or does Bakugo just remind AFO of him? I audibly gasped when they showed the 2nd in that moment because I totally thought it meant they were related to each other. But when no one else I watch on YouTube or on here mentioned it, I started thinking maybe I was looking too much into it 😅 (I am anime only for MHA, so I obviously HAVE NO IDEA but I had to get it off my chest because it has been driving me crazy for the past several months lol )

Kiribukai

Dang, I got spoiled on that one too before I saw it 😅 Them spoilers were so hard to dodge this season…

theoneandonlymdn

What I also found very interesting, and I read it somewhere, I think it is more hearable in the sub version, is that the quirk explanation was never so calm/sad as it was for Bakugo here

Collin

I think it’s very heavily insinuated by Horikoshi using both the info that he LITERALLY WROTE that as the original ending and the fact that that movie is in fact canon to both the manga and the anime that the vestige moment is intended to be a reference to him shortly having one for all. The scene would’ve been there either way for bakugos arc and the card moment but he chose it to be vestige all might instead of just a regular all might in his imagination for a reason.

gamerx

There were theories about it at the time in the manga but then the coloured version dropped and they didn't actually look anything alike but for some reason the anime didn't colour them the same

gamerx

It's not a vestige of bakugo it was a real person. Can you imagine if that was revealed in the manga since the movie didn't happen in the manga and it was just randomly bakugo was in there for some reason.

Rhythem

Man. That last scene still hits. :')

MeL

Kenny: "Bakugo's gonna die. They're gonna kill Bakugo off." Also Kenny: *Shocked Pikachu face*

gamerx

No there's basically 0 chance because you have to remember the anime is a almost shot for shot recreation of the manga (one of the big complaints about the mha anime funny enough) so the fact that that never happened in the manga would make it incredibly confusing.

JuanderfulJuans
>>156889059

All for One fought that guy and did not expect him to put up a fight. The guy actually gave him a run for his money, and then when all was said and done - he had already transferred One for All (meaning All for One missed his brother again, hence the tears).

Limini

The manga and anime make references to the movies with reoccurring characters or mentioned/implied plot lines. Like Melissa and David, the kids deku saved, etc. Also Horikoshi himself mentioned that the movies as well as vigilante are canon. Why would these characters appear in this season anime and in the manga when they're not canon and haven't appeared before? The fact that that haven't happened in the manga doesn't make it confusing at all bc most if not all fans have seen the movies or know roughly what happened through osmosis especially in Japan. Also bc the movies were written in a way that the story could still be understood without. Melissa and David are named and shown in the anime and manga but you only really get to know them in the movie but when they're mentioned in the manga/anime you still can understand the story without knowing who they are. When in later ep this season you see the kids from the moviethats deku saved then you either recognize them or you just think they're random kids, either way it still works. They're kinda written like filler but are canon. Horikoshi confirmed it himself too

Limini

Similar to how the last, and boruto are canon even tho they are movie only

Limini

Of course there's room for interpretation whether the vestige is literally there or not but the movies are canon. What can be freely interpreted is whether Bakugo still has a connection to it or not somehow. So saying there is 0 chance is a bit much

Kristopher Sy

Man Katsuki BakuGOAT been real quiet since this episode

HBelmont67

Yeah, where is he? 🤔

freshfruitbox

What an episode, I've never watched it in the Dub and I gotta say that it was really good, Bakugo's VA killed it. Also regarding Shiggy saying "Would Golden Age All Might be hurt by this attack" he wasn't being egotistical his body is pretty much on par with Golden Age All Might at this point in the story with all the enhancements he received, that's why the other Hero's basically have no affect on him. Great Video as always guys, I can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of the season!

Kiribukai

I scrolled through the comments like an hour ago and was wondering where you were!

Mekar

I think that was more just direction. A classic Present Mic season 1 quirk introduction would have hurt the scene.

Mekar

I think OFA being the explanation for Cluster would be a detriment to Bakugo's character. The thing that is so impressive about Bakugo is that he's been ahead of Deku the entire story up until S6 despite Deku having All Might's power. Bakugo is doing it all with his own quirk. Cluster was a technique he developed while training with Endeavor.

HBelmont67

Course. You're a Patreon mainstay, man, and this was YOUR episode 😭

HyperColt14 B42

two more episodes till my fav episode! If you know, you know 😏

Robin B

"Everything's fine. There is no death in this episode" -- said the Dai Li

Robin B

Did you change your name JUST FOR THIS EPISODE??? 😭😭😭

Rndom016

I was sure Bakugo had pain while fighting too, even Deku noted that during the All Might teacher test. I figured they were teasing that he would get One for All, the Heroes Rising movie threw me off

HBelmont67

Did . . . did you REALLY change your name?!

HBelmont67

It's Katsuki BakuGONE, now 😱

Kleed44

You guys are all awesome thank you :)

HBelmont67

The music at the end of the episode is the same track as Deku vs. Flect from the World Heroes Mission movie.

Binky

Now that there is a new opening and you guys have seen this episode now. I wanted to point out there was a very small hint that something was gonna happen to bakugo when they show him on top of a pile of shigarakis hands with a somber smile, before it shows midoriya pick up *kennys favorite part of the song* in the prior opening.

Binky

55 seconds into the opening to be exact. *i am referencing the first opening of season 7 that has now past on by.

Stephen Cruz

A dying impact frame 🤣🤣 god damn his death was so epic it had to have impact frames

yob

omg legend

HBelmont67

About the bit on Bakugo in the discussion about him being a kid and having room to grow. I completely agree, but you realize there's another character that you should apply this to, right? Mineta

Robert

In the midst of all this...well downer developments lol Nejire's backstory of shutting herself away because of others veiwing her as an egoist and annoying, but was changed because of Tamaki's (mind you he's VERY introverted) actions to reciprocate her feelings of connections because that's the same thing Mirio did for him in elementary school (Tamaki's backstory in season 4) was a very sweet and full circle for these 3 characters stories.

HBelmont67

Please please please 🤞😣🤞

ZestyBlaze

Leaving us on this for a whole week is so cruel... I love it XD

Kiribukai

Please!!! I hope so too! That is hilarious 🤣

Kiribukai

The ending too! When Kenny and Montana watched the first ending at the beginning of the season Kenny said something like “who is the third person?” Referring to the three people holding the All Might cards. I automatically knew that was bad news. We had just seen scenes with Shoji, Ochaco, and Shoto with the younger and older versions of themselves together. Then we see the All Might cards, which we know are Deku and Bakugo, but only one older person with a card appears with them. Since the beginning I took that as Bakugo was missing. So, that plus the scene that you are referring to in the opening already set up an ominous situation for our boy this season. 🥺

Kiribukai

Also, there is another really cool detail in the first opening that goes by so fast most people probably miss it, but I think I will wait until after they have seen episode 13 to point it out 🤭

Kleed44

wait what name are you usually under?? I want to make sure I recognize you in the comments and during premieres and stuff :)

emptyJson

they should watch Goblin Slayer

Doofus

No thanks

MegumiSystem

i think what happened is that Bakugo was so untrained with this level of power it strained his heart and caused it to explode

Jinchuriki87

OK so it's not just me...they definitely animated him differently while he was talking to the vestige

Jinchuriki87

Who loves peaches? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Jinchuriki87

Welcome to the realm of awesomeness!

Jinchuriki87

I'm right there with you. I'm also anime only and curious if there's a distant relation between the second and bakugo (which then adds some more weight to why O4A would have left a portion of itself in bakugo after the movie bc it recognized the connection perhaps 🤔)

Jinchuriki87

The fact you were holding on to the name change until this episode is both maniacal and awesome 🤣🤣🤣

Jinchuriki87

What makes this moment hit so hard is having just seen a very similar situation with nobara. In both moments, we see the sudden potential someone has to put up a fight against the villain. Only to have that potential IMMEDIATELY stolen from us. The idea KNOWING they had SO much potential and losing it hits different. This episode certainly fed my "he HAS to still have some O4A left in him" side! (Between the eye animation and the vestige being the tip off) Also, as yall noted. The VA KILLED IT this episode (the original Japanese VA also did phenomenal!)

Jinchuriki87

Also, another beautiful thing I found for yalls particular reaction, was the fact that MONTANA was the first to pick up on the fact that bakugo was comparing his current situation to how dekus has been up til now was just so wholesome ☺️ "Fighting while in pain...spotting an enemies tell...you're already an old pro at this, aren't you? Hey...izuku...can I, still catch up to you?" Uuuuuuuuuuuugh

yob

exactlyyy and at 20:01 I swear they took "drop dead gorgeous" a little too literally

Kiribukai

YES! This was my thoughts too. While I love the idea of Heroes Rising being the reason he can see the vestige of All Might, because it is one of my all time favorite movies, I don’t know if they would incorporate such a huge moment in the show based off the movies. I know they are canon, but still! That’s when I really wondering if they were related. Maybe a very tiny part of O4A was passed through their bloodline?? Also, maybe AFO knows the connection between the two and that’s another reason why Bakugo was kidnapped in season 3? It was just another way for AFO to get back at the 2nd even way after he is gone? Cause we all know AFO loves to use family connections against people (Shiggy/Nana, Dabi/Endeavor) 🤷🏻‍♀️ Regardless, I am fascinated by the 2nd O4A user and I want to know everything about him.

Kiribukai

I also just want to take a moment and thank Kenny and Montana for this community they have built here. As tragic as this episode is, I have enjoyed reading comments and posting all my thoughts here too. I have had some big feelings about this episode (and other episodes this season too!) for a long time, but I never have anyone to talk about it with! So I have loved every second of Kenny and Montana’s reactions and discussing it with all of you this season! 🫶

HBelmont67

Why's that an immediate "nope"?

HBelmont67

Oh yeah, you just got here, so you don't know. 😅

HBelmont67

I SERIOUSLY hope they'll acknowledge it again. That'd be DIABOLICAL. 😅

Jinchuriki87

Damn I didn't even think about the possibility the kidnapping being related to a potential ancestry to the second user...but that sure as hell would be in line for A4O style tactics 🤔 Great theory!

Madison Perez

I’m glad you mentioned Bakugo’s VA for this episode. Clifford Chapin did a phenomenal job for this episode. Given how much Bakugo has grown throughout the show, he almost sounded like a completely different person with how low he made Bakugo sound. This episode gets me every time I watch it 😭😭😭😭

yob

freaky ahh anime

Dominick Ratliff

montana watching bakugo lying there: he’s fine me: 😳🙊

yob

this is when everyone realized horikoshi became besties with gege

𝖐𝖆𝖙𝖘𝖚𝖐𝖎 𝖇𝖆𝖐𝖚𝖌𝖔𝖆𝖙

Im glad you're in the community! I feel the same way, so I get my social interactions here and I love talking with people in the comments. This community makes me feel seen and valued so thank kenny and montana for the awesome community. I wish they had the chat group active too but I'm fine in the comments:)

Darby

montana's "noOOooo" right when the episode ended is EXACTLY how i felt

Blake N

Kenny, can you maybe keep the old format? I liked the old format of uninterrupted watching with three breaks to discuss. I know you're excited because you're mostly blind outside of whatever's been spoiled, but the constant pausing and interrupting causes you to miss some moments and makes it less smooth than it was for the previous 6 seasons, since you have to replay moments.

BojacksReacts
>>157438775

Hey here’s a great idea. Watch the shit for free without any pausing. Reactors are going to pause and give their reactions, if you can’t understand that why are you wasting your money 😂

Madison Perez

I haven’t been able to go to comic con yet but I really wanna meet him 😅

hoodie

I haven't read the mangas but I honestly dont think they're gonna kill bakugo permanently. MHA is just not that kind of show. In a weird way it would kindaake the show better tho since we're seeing a war with no major characters and very little side characters dying

Bread&Jam Reacts

Just a quick google search, it has rape in it…. Not something they need to watch. Or at least, they should have the option to not watch.

Natsuo Todoroki

It’s honestly kinda amazing how they weren’t able to get spoiled on what happened here. The Touya reveal was one thing since Kenny already saw that, but I remember finding out about what happened in this episode before I even properly sat down and read it 😅

Adan Dominguez

Bruh this made me tear up even tho bakugo was a butt most the time but he grew on me and at the end made me feel the relatable 😅
