I feel like everyone who thought the show was about Mob getting with Tsubomi is misunderstanding the point of this show and what her character really serves. When this finally came out there were people who trashed on her character, for declining Mob and it really rubs me the wrong way. No one is obligated to reciprocate someone’s feelings no matter how devoted that someone is. She wasn’t even being mean she was just being honest and the fact that she waited to see him despite there literally being a tornado shows that she cares and respects Mob. She just doesn’t feel the same. I appreciate the route the story took because while Mob’s feelings for Tsubomi has always been a big part of him he’s grown so much and connected with so many people that even though he was rejected and even though it hurts it’s not the end of the world for him, he’ll be okay, I honestly don’t think Mob at the start of the series could handle that. And after getting turned down he moves on and builds an actual friendship with her being able to really get to know her fully. This series from start to finish has always been about Mob’s growth the good and the bad, i honestly think that if it went differently the overall story and the message would be a little bit cheapened.

In the last scene. In the webcomic the cake flies back in Reigen’s face. And it’s heavily implied Mob did it on purpose. Showing that’s he no longer afraid to express himself in his powers by doing a funny prank

This show has an impeccable ending honestly. For a show about restrained emotions going out of control, acceptance and healthy expression of those emotions is the perfect conclusion. The character growth in this show is next level, especially for Mob and Reigan. It's so cool that a show with such amazing fights isn't really about fights, it's about people. I think the show does an excellent job of making very relatable problems into something fantastical and insane, like turning anxiety over rejection into a city annihilating walk. So glad you guys checked this one out, even happier you enjoyed it! Also having the final shot be the first time we really ever see Mob laugh and smile is just perfect.

Yo so glad yall watched this show. I know it wasn’t as popular as other shows and didn’t get as many likes or comments or anything like that, but it truly is an amazing show. It’s incredibly wholesome. Beautiful characters. Mind-blowing animation. Wonderful story telling. Crazy fights. And so motivating. Teaching people to strive to be better and kinder. Mob is genuinely one the best role models despite being a middle schooler. His pushing himself to be better and to help others despite his own limitations is truly testament to his character and a great display to show everyone what they are capable of. I hope everyone who watched the show found beauty in the story and may you strive to become the person you deserve to be

The moment you’re thinking of with Tsubomi “having a crush” in the office is when her friend was looking for dating advice. She lied and said she liked a boy in another school to test Reigen, and it’s the moment Ritsu thought she did have a crush on another boy and was extra nervous for his bro. However we haven’t seen Tsubomi have a single romantic feeling for another person in the show (my aro queen ♥️ <- just a headcanon lol) Thanks for watching, this show is so special!

Honestly reading Tsubomi reject him in the comic is what solidified the series as a top 10 of all time for me. This show has sooo many trope subversions that just heightens the story and characters! Another that really got me hooked is the “brother turns evil” trope that dissolves pretty much immediately, everything just feels more real when things like that are subverted for the betterment of the story

Not sure why you preficited "despite being a middle school." I've seen stories set in middle schools with fully nuanced and fleshed out characters. The Dangers in My Heart comes to mind with the main couple, Ichikawa and Yamada. ❤️

I love mob psycho so much and I'm so glad you guys watched it. Mob is one of the most relatable anime characters ever despite being an all powerful psychic lol. His relatability also makes him so inspirational, he makes me want to work harder and improve as a person.
