Oh yay you picked my question!! I love Jinshi and Maomao's dynamic because it seems like your stereotypical "Flirty guy and loner girl" but there's a lot of depth to their characters indivually and they bring out the best parts of each other

I can completely relate with maomao.... way back in high school there was this person I liked and it turns out they liked me too and we even went on a date... only I had no idea it was a date at the time and the "aha! that's what it was" moment came 3 years later lmao

This ep doesn't make it very clear, but the original courtesan that the guy went back on buying on her buy-out day committed suicide, and that's why the little girl and the other courtesan were so adamant on killing him.

This is how anime adaptations of light novels should be done. Slowly cover everything and subtly expand on small moments. No cutting important content.

Jinshi and Maomao are a great opposites attract pairing. Between them in this show, Trevor and Sypha in Castlevania, and Momo and Okarun in Dandadan, Kenny and Montana are eating well in the romance department. 🥰 I only just started Haikyuu. Is there any romance in that show, or does it focus more on friendship and comradery?
