And the next update for Dragon Leveling. Chapter 53: You and What Army?, is finally here, folks!

Sorry for the long wait, but I decided to take a short break from writing. The past few updates for this story was sent out in a span of just a few days, so I decided to take it at a slower pace to not feeling burnt out, which is last thing I want right now.

Plus, Lunar New Year is just around the corner, so I want to spend some times with my family too. It's one of the largest holiday vacations of the year for us, after all.

Anyway, that will be all. This chapter, for me personally, is incredibly exciting, so I hope that everyone will have a great time reading it.

Summary: The morning after the day he was killed by his girlfriend, Issei woke up and saw two things. First was Rias Gremory sleeping next to him in his bed, and second was a floating blue window congratulating him on becoming The Player and telling him to go work out as a daily quest.

Absolutely amazing chapter, issei bitch slapping cao cao was poetic as fuck lmao, I cant wait at all for the next chapter and I cant wait to see how this fight will impact the issei of the main timeline as if the hero faction gets whipped out here what will happen to ise's transformations

Looks like the buildup at the start had some payoff with the hit Issei got on Herakles. With that being said though this was quite a lengthy chapter with how much stuff happened in it. Not only did we have a nice talk with the counterparts of this world, but we also had a short track in one of the gates in which this Issei has an odd feeling of familiarity. And he also manages to make Elena rather grateful after taking out the boss with no effort. And speaking of which, if there was ever a bigger contrast between the two Issei's it has got to be the way they handle the hero faction. Canon Issei just got a version of penetrate to work but it is very clear that he has a long way to go while DL Issei immediately commended attention. And I just love and when people summon an army once someone asks them "you and what army". Really is the best and most fitting answer you can give. As for people keeping the existence of the hero faction from DL Issei, it certainly makes sense consider how attached he is to the faction of his world. But I am glad to see someone realizes that now is not a time to keep secret once the cat is out of the bag. Other than that I really appreciate it the comparison regarding how the engagement with the Riser was dealt. That's one of the big events of the story and talking about it just makes sense. I also appreciated the mention of the Kyoto trip. Boy are they going to be in for a surprise once that comes. You certainly took your time with this one but that's not a bad thing considering how much content there was. And burn out is one of the last things I wish for you considering how nobody wins in that regard. I'm just going to hope that you're doing well and for this arc to be resolved neatly.

An incredible chapter as always. Got to admit the cliffhanger was chill inducing. Although there was an interesting price of information as to Issei being able to hold True Longinus, even if brief. Makes one wonder if he’s compatible, does the system influence the spear, or something else because I’ve always been of the impression the Longinus has the ability to judge one’s character. Very much looking forward to seeing Issei showcase himself. Stay frosty.
