Thank you for taking the time to attempt to test on period-correct hardware- it was worth a shot for the sake of morbid curiosity!

I have never understood why Rockstar, EA, Ubi, and Blizz/Activision sell their games on Steam but still force us to keep THEIR LAUNCHER TOO! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ If they insist on shackling us to yet another launcher to keep and update etc.. why not just sell it on their own storefront and keep the 30% Gaben tax?? My conspiracy theory is even tho it's usually a delayed launch on Steam... the 1st game is a sacrificial lamb to sate the bloodlust of Lord Gaben.... They let him wet his beak on one game then hope you'll buy their other games on their storefront where they can keep 100% It's like car dealerships that give free oil changes because people look around while waiting and just get a whole new car 🤯 Which happens often enough to subsidize the majority of people, who just get the free oil change 🤷🏻‍♂️ Just a Game *adjacent* theory. P.S. Larian gets a pass because they have sainthood.
