Yes, the Hand are bad guys from Daredevil. The ones with a reserection device. These connections are cool to see. When the dad said "I had to die first" it trigered my memory of it. And all the evidence just keeps adding up as the episode continued. The reactions of instant fear from the Chinese when Danny mentioned "the hand" was amazing.

I assumed when Ward made the comment about the tie being effeminate, he was talking about the thinness of it, not necessarily the color. I don't really wear ties, but I remember a guy in college, who was a Republican, talk about width saying as much about the tie as the color/pattern. He was trying to teach me, but I wasn't interested, so I don't know what the different types of ties mean 'cause....I don't care. 😂

Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing) was also in GoT, if you recall. She was one of the Sand Snakes. I believe the one with the whip. She has said that she was offered a role in "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" (I think to play his sister), but she turned it down because she said then she would not be able to reprise her role as Colleen Wing if and when they reincorporated the NF shows into the MCU. Now they have incorporated them back, I'd assume we'll see her as Colleen again in the future. Shows she really loves the character. Also, Colleen and Misty Knight (from "Luke Cage") had a comic together called "Daughters of the Dragon." Colleen seems like she may have some...anger issues. I feel like when she was training, that's where her power and force are coming from and explains why she's doing illegal fights 'cause it ain't really for the money if Danny is offering to make good on their deal.

Oh the thinness haha that makes sense. I like ties of all widths, so that never even occurred to me that people could make fun of that.

Yeah, the whole Daredevil season 2 arc with Elektra that was far less interesting than the Punisher storyline... Also, we got a brief mention of Karen and Ellison from the reporter in this episode!

Also for the Harold and Ward age gap thing...Harold died and was brought back by the Hand...so hasn't really aged since he died...so figure he looks a decade plus younger than he's supposed to be if that helps you buy them as father and son any better.

I usually comment a lot more but I am starting to remember why I dislike the show the first time around. The characters are interesting but the story is taking too long to unfold while not revealing anything about monks or even a proper flashback. This is the reason I lost interest and feel asleep during the episodes. Danny for three episodes just trying to be back at Rand enterprises gets boring really fast when the main reason Ironfist is popular in the comics is fighting. Daredevil had way more fights at the start and everything unfolded pretty quickly for the most part.
