We are having another chill week here to close out 2025 and begin 2026. The regular Patreon schedule will resume next week. For movie reactions, I will be sharing two Viewer Choices that are both from the 90s! We have Elizabeth (1998) and That Thing You Do! (1996). These are Reactr requests that were sent in by Vincent and Brad - thank you so much! And I know that I said last week that I wasn't going to share any TV reactions until after Jan 5. That was the plan up until about 20 minutes ago. I will share Ch 5 of Stranger Things S5 and S2E2 of Fallout. S2E3 of Fallout may also appear here too. (In the Marvel journey, I'll be starting Season 2 of Jessica Jones next week.) Over on YouTube, I'll be sharing The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) edit on New Years Eve and the Fallout S2E2 edit when it is ready to be shared.

I hope that you all had the most wonderful holiday. 🥰 I got in some very good quality time with my loved ones last week and also stayed indoors as much as possible because it was extremely cold (-30C) for multiple days in a row. 🥶 I adored all of the gifts I received, though I had to give a public shoutout to my Mom, who gifted me a beautiful and intricate cross-stitch of Ella, who passed in Oct 2023.

My 4 yo niece in her Pokemon era right now - but specifically the first Gen only, because that's the only Gen that her parents know. 🤣 Here is a pic of her HYPED AF to receive a toy Charmander and a Pikachu hoodie blanket.

I know that I'm very late to completing this, but I will have another Movies with KL wall calendar for 2026 available in the shop within a few days! I will share a separate post here when it is ready for anyone who is interested in getting one. 😊

Do we have any resolution folks here? As I get older, I feel like I move further away from traditional "resolutions" and opt for other things instead. I've always wanted to make a yearly habit of completing the YearCompass, as well as sending future me a letter via FutureMe.org, so that's what I'll be doing this week. Both of these are free, too! I'd recommend checking them out.

As we wrap up another year of reactions, I want to extend such a big THANK YOU to all of you that choose to spend your time with me, whether it's via the YouTube edits only, or if you watchalong here on Patreon. Regardless of how much you watch, where you watch, or how active you are or if you're a big lurker/silent supporter, you all mean so much to me! You've really enhanced my journey with movies and shows and I'm forever grateful for that. I've become someone that the people in my life turn to for movie recommendations, which I love! I always lead into the new years with optimism and hope and I have a lot of that in me right now! Thank you for making my days brighter. I appreciate you all so much and I hope that I provide at least a fifth of that back to you. 🧡

I'm glad you had such a fun and enjoyable holiday with your fam! Kinda jelly about that Pokémon hoodie blanket, although I'm more of a Gastly guy myself hehe 👻 It's been a great year watching (and rewatching) a bunch of movies along with you (a few of which my partner joined in on too!) and can't wait for another cinematic year! Woooo!

Heads up in case it hasn't been recorded already and the request didn't come with instructions on this front that there are two cuts of That Thing You Do! The theatrical cut (the more available one and presumably the preferred version) is 105 minutes, and the extended version is a whopping 42 minutes longer, so it makes a pretty huge difference.

I'm glad you had a fantastic holiday! Looks like your niece especially had some fun ☺️ I've never really been a resolution person because I generally break the resolution within the first two days LOL But this year's different. I haven't had a proper Christmas Marathon or been active in the holidays the past few years. Obviously I didn't care to do much 2 years ago when grandma died as the memories were too painful to relive so soon at Christmas time. Last year crunch died so I didn't do much that Christmas either. And this year with a (maybe) temporary job loss, I again fell out of the Christmas spirit. I am making a resolution for 2026 to try my hardest to not allow circumstance to determine my happiness and deter me from things that I generally enjoy doing.

I collect Pokémon cards. They are better investment than the stock market. Some cards have sold for millions of dollars!!!!!

That's a FABULOUS resolution. It is so easy for us to put things aside because of the situation around us. I've seen a lot of sentiment recently from adults that Christmas doesn't "feel" like Christmas anymore, and then other people chime in with "It's on YOU to make Christmas feel the way that you want it to!" While we can't completely replicate the feeling from when we were kids, we can certainly get close! Proud of ya!

this year was the first year my Niece and Nephew went full on sugar zoomies, it was hilarious but also there are so many photos of every adult there (including myself) looking exhausted by them lol

I hate to admit this, but I feel like as kids 80 percent of the Christmas hype was about presents...and the anticipation of presents. Also all the magical movies. And Carol of the Bells in Home Alone.

A Kingdom of Hearts sounds like the polar opposite of Dream Eating Spirits. Know nothing of that game but my friend was into it back in the day.

Sure, I can agree with that, but as we grow up we learn that there's more to it. It's our responsibility as adults to put smiles on people's faces and keep the spirit alive. Otherwise Christmas just becomes nothing more than second birthday or another drunk tank holiday. Christmas is supposed to represent hope. I think that's why I got lost for so long because I am not a hopeful person at heart. And back to back grief a few years in a row has just gotten me stuck. And people need hope more than anything.
