Preaching to the Horse's Mouth

I gotta tell ya that, along with everything else to do, I appreciate the down-to-the-minute timing of the episode drops.

47:30 JENNY! It's a good thing you upload these in the morning or else we would have a drinking game by now.

That’s Not Acting

I can tell someone has some serious strong feelings about Kate. The thing with the love interests, from my perspective anyway, with Angel is that they may be there and something to play with on an episode by episode basis but one of the big sort of cornerstones of his character right now is that he can’t have a relationship. Whether we agree with that whether it makes sense logically or not at the moment they have linked him being in a relationship to risking losing his soul. And he’s sworn that off. Kate is definitely, or has in the past definitely showed interest in Angel romantically but I don’t think Angel has ever reciprocated in any real way which, in a way, does speak more to his consideration for Kate as a person than it does he’s other characters that come and go because he does flirt back with them he does show interest in them but I don’t think he would if he felt it could truly go somewhere. I think he kept such a distance from Kate because he didn’t want… Because I think there’s something really there and it’s a real risk. This thing with Rebecca wasn’t really a real risk it was marginal at best. A fleeting attraction. Anyway it’s just my thoughts. Great video can’t wait for next week.

Time traveling Domi reading off a list of demands to the Angel writer's room: Whenever Kate's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Kate"?

Ron Fehr

Your eyes went wider when you heard Oliver say "Nobody stays young forever." To me it looked like you knew instantly that Rebecca had come up with a plan. Also, yes it was a shame that Cordelia was just being manipulated, as you said. Can't people just be friends without having ulterior motives?

I really like Rebecca, as a character. However I really _don't_ like the whole "drugs leading to temporary happiness leading to losing his soul but not really". Like what, his soul just went on a vacation for a bit? It makes absolutely no sense. And despite that I cannot help but like this episode. And I agree, we need Kate back.

Hang on, you don't do a drinking game already? One of us has a problem.

The title of episode 18 is "The Incredible Hulk Vs. Winnie the Pooh". It's a bad title because it gives away WAY too much about the main plot of the episode. :(

UTU49

Okay. Yep. You both get a thumbs up.

madfem

ugh i kinda hate this ep... Rebecca and Angel have zero chemistry and i dont like how Rebecca's actress plays her... plus the story and the pacing suck

Molly Willis

You going "That's not really Angelus is it? That's still Angel, right?" gave me **serious** 'Domi watching Passion for the first time' vibes. "Jenny's not really dead. Guys I'm worried about Jenny. They wouldn't kill Jenny. I know that's literally her tombstone but Jenny can't be dead".

Jordan Haddow

Yes, unfortunately around this time someone has put some idiot in charge of episode titles and some of them can be pretty spoilery. The next Angel episode title is super duper insanely spoilery. Trust us, it may feel uncomfortable, but you will love that you weren't spoiled for the episode. In fact, I know Alley had moved to reviewing episode titles after she watched the episode because they spoiled too much in season 4 or so. You may want to think about it. I don't think any are as bad as the next, but they are probably a little too easy to guess. Although, now that I think about it, one is super on the nose. Anyways, it's up to you. I loved your reaction. You were quick on the draw with figuring out her intentions. Plus, it was really fun watching you see Angelus rise up again. So funny. Of course, I just have to mention how much I also love Cordy in this one. Wes was great, but lets face it, he's no Cordy. It's episodes like this that I love that she got moved to this show so she could get the time to have actual character development. Cordy just wants to hold onto that life she grew up idolizing. Hard realities keep hitting her in the face though. Angel through Angelus finally brought the hammer down and for once honestly graded her acting as sub par. She took it well. How well she remembers it will have to be seen. This show, she's had a few harsh realities to face, mostly about herself. I just finished watching Riley react to the episode with Doyle's ex-wife and I had forgotten how she couldn't stand the type of guy she always grew up thinking she wanted. She was just so bored of him and wishing for some action. It was great. I also remember that one episode where Angel kills a demon and has them clean it up. Before then, she would have yelled, begged, and pleaded to get out of it. Instead she just gets to work dismembering it with not an eww or a gross coming out of her. She's come a long way. It will be interesting what she will be like towards the end of the season. What can I say, she's awesome.

We are not in agreement of wanting to see more Kate. I’m not a fan

Ron Fehr

I'm not exactly sure what you said, but whatever it was made me realize that Angel and Buffy had another thing in common. Earlier in their lives, they were basically alone, and gradually they let their friends help them with whatever the present circumstances were. Actually, I think the thought came to me when you spoke about Wes and Cordelia truly making contributions to the group.

Ron Fehr

Listening to some of your observations makes me notice the script writer's mind in you. You sometimes point out things that people wouldn't normally think about. Only certain people would think on these things, for instance people who write for tv shows or movies. Watching some shows should make us appreciate the thought and effort that goes into writing for them.

Hope I'm not being too pushy or anything, but is there any chance you could turn up the audio on Buffy/Angel just a smidge, s'il vous plait? But if it's been quietened purposely due to copyright stuff then no worries. Thanks!

As a fan of Flutie, Go Fish, and Hootie and the Blowfish, I gotta say... that's a fun name. An ex-girlfriend of mine used to call them Hooter and the Blowjob. I'm fairly sure she wasn't the only one to think of that.
