Progress is moving along. I originally hoped to get the writing done this weekend, but there's a lot of writing so I didn't quite make it there. Lots of stuff around Kharos this time, haha. And some ridiculously complex conditionals (looking at you, Galatea). Oh well, I do this to myself. XD

Also, thanks again for everyone's thoughts last week re: combat stuff. I appreciate both the thoughts and the opinions expressed there! It does seem likely that the section I had been thinking about when I wrote that will get pushed to next time, since the Kharos explore has proved as long as it has.

One part of that was some new loyalty skills. Along with that, I decided to sit down and decide on preliminary Prince's Command bonuses through 100 Loyalty for everyone and implement those. As an example:

Everyone but Ariadne gets the same boon at 100 (she gets that at 75, but her 100 bonus is not yet available pending future events). The 90 tier is more resource gen for most people, wilt the 75 tier is something more unique to them. As another example, Sindarion has his Dagger Art cooldowns cleared.

Since I'm talking about loyalty, something that won't be in this update but that I've been thinking about involves loyalty past 100. The loyalty display will be limited to 100, but it can go past that under the hood, and so as to keep it from simply becoming irrelevant once you cap, I've been thinking of creating a system where loyalty past 100 rolls over into a sort of "Paragon" loyalty stat (to draw on some WoW terminology) where points of loyalty past 100 grant a small buff (perhaps stat points--exact functionality to be decided). It would be a way to keep it relevant once we start maxing people, but also letting it be a little less important.

Edit: Don't mind the typo in that screenshot. XD That should be 90 loyalty on the next-to-last line.

Good to see the loyalty bonuses, it's a part of the combat system I really like! A "Paragon" system also sounds great, although having new scenes or decorations might also work. Anyone who's willing to get to >100 loyalty with a character probably likes them.

Glad you enjoy it. ^^ I've always liked that particular idea as well. Yeah, I'm not sure exactly what I'll tie to that yet, but it's definitely possible there it could include more events and such as well. Overall, I just like the idea of having it so there's still some value in doing things for your favorites past the "cap," since maxing them out early and feeling like I have no incentive to pay attention to them after that always felt kind of backwards in other games I've played.
