Hello friends! Me again!

Here's a super cute and easy to print led lamp in the shape of mushroom!

I wanted to make a lamp that gives a different lighting, and that diffuses the light downwards rather than through the model like my previous lamps.

That's why I created this pretty little lamp!

Again, it was a test to see the possibilities and the different kinds of lighting that can be achieve.

It comes in two types: With dots and plain version.

The version with dots is suitable for all printers;

One model is made up of individual parts (the dots are separate) and is suitable for conventional printers.

The other is a one-piece version and can be painted in BambuStudio. This file is available only in the BambuStudio project file.

All the parts are placed in the right orientation for printing.

You will need some supports for the mushroom caps. (Touching buildplate only)

In the Bambu project file, the supports are already set by objects.

The whole project can be scale down or up if you want. The small mushroom in my pictures (the pink one) is scale at 70% of the original size.

ONE IMPORTANT THING:

Do not rotate the parts. Keep them in the same orientation as they are when you open the files.

Then, go into your settings and put the seam at the back. It is important because this way, the seam will be aligned with the holes for the wires and therefore will end up at the back once the lamp is assembled.

For the Bambu lab project file, the seam is already set on the "back" setting.

In any case, if you are experiencing some problems with the project, feel free to send me a private message. I will be pleased to help you as much as i can!

Have fun my friends and keep printing!

Pascal

(PS; I will provide the list of filaments i have used for this project tomorrow!

Nice! That would be great with led kit like the bambu lab one, plug n play, no soldering. And can be buy for cheap on website like aliexpress! (About 8 CAD) https://ca.store.bambulab.com/products/led-lamp-kit-001 It will not work with this model but the idea of a usb plug n play led kit should be great!

Very cute lamp!! Thanks for creating this one for us!!!

Matthew Curley

I think if you scale the mushroom so the LED ring will fit, this is a great idea to make it a lot easier.

Daniel

Sure, there are also multiple led ring size!

Gwynnevere

Wonderful! Looking forward to printing this cute lamp, thanks Pascal

What did you use for the LED strip? thx

Charlotte Carpentier

I've not used LED strips yet...not sure what to buy for this. Any pointers?

Marquis

This is certainly going to be my next make. But can you explain the tentacles? I love them

Hello Daniel. The LED strip i am using doesnt need soldering at all. Its and 8mm cob led strip, which can be wired with solderless clamping terminals. And they are really cheap. You'll have enough material to make 3 projects at least. Look in this post, the links are the bottom! :) https://www.patreon.com/posts/new-book-nook-101275029?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link But i will keep the idea for sure for the BambuLab kit!!! Its a really nice option and i will make some design especially with this kit in mind. Thanks for the suggestion! :)

Thank you very much Jacqueline! 😊

Hehehe... Its one of our "artificial plants" we have here. My girlfriend's obsessed with plants (real ones) and we have a few fake plants. This one is my favorite by far! We bought it at an artists' market where my daughter was exhibiting her illustrations. It was another polymer clay artist who made them. She also sells on Etsy if i remember correctly.

Charlotte Carpentier

Excellent! Thank you! I wish I had a way to share all the cool makes I've sold from your designs!

When it load it into bambu it just shows the normal supports i have saved, nothing changes, when i slice the cap, it fills the whole bottom completely will support, is that normal?

PA1 MAKER

Hello Marquis Yes, because the supports are already configured with the function "by objects". Just under the filaments in BambuStudio, you have the "Process" which can be switch between "global" and "objects". The support are already configured by object for the cap only. So you don't need to add extra supports. They are already there. And yes it is normal that the whole bottom is filled with supports, because i prefer normal supports versus tree supports. If you wanna change that, click on the object (the cap) to highlight it. Then go in the mode "Objects" in the process bar and you will have the settings for the cap only. In the support tab, You will be able to change them for tree supports if you prefer this method. ;) The function "by objects is really useful, because you can assign any setting for an object specifically without affecting the settings for all the other parts.

Marquis

Ok thank you. Just wanted to make sure it was correct. Sometimes my system doesn’t update project settings right it seems
