Hello dear friends!

While working on the new birdhouse (you can read this as "while being seriously stucked on a part of the design") i took some time to finish this little cutie!

The fifth element of the Fairy Houses collection. The pear! And i think this one is my favorite! By far!

For the instructions, its the same thing as the other fairy houses;

-Everything is already placed in the right orientation for printing.

-Names of the files are color-coded.

-NO SUPPORTS are needed.

-Check carefuly the exploded views for visual references and placement.

-Make a dry fit check before gluing.

-Can be used with or without the base depending on what you prefer.

To bend the little leaf, use a little heat (like a hair dryer or heatgun) and bend the leaf around a small bottle. (I used a tabasco sauce bottle).

Other tip: I didnt glue the leaf and the stem. If the stem break, i will be able to replace it easily without printing anything else.

That's it!

I hope you like it!

Have fun, i'm going back to the problematic design.... hehehe...

Simply Beautiful. Did you put a little heat to the leaf to get that bend in it?

WIfe loves these and apparently so do the kids in the neighborhood, I need to find a way to stake them into the ground

Thanks! And yes, i forgot to mention that in the instructions... I'll make the change. And i'll add another tip!: Don't glue the stem and the leaf! This part can break overtime, it will be easier to replace it without printing anything else. Thanks for notifying me! :)

What colour filament is the pear body? My greens are too bright!

PA1 MAKER

Hi Matthew! Polyterra "Army light green" filament! 😉 Its a matte filament, so its perfect for this project!

Matthew Hardy

Brilliant, thanks - just ordered a roll!

I had to hunt for this color a while back when he used it or a shade similar to it on a bird feeder. I found on Amazon a filament brand called JustMaker and they have a color called "Mustard Green" that is identical in my eyes. Its a matte pla-pro and it prints beautifully.
