What a fantastic conclusion to the story! This two parter is definately up there with one of my favourite episodes all round, loved the overall story and the character development was BEAUT

I think there is a decent amount of adjustment between S1 and S2 of Criminal Minds. Sort of like the first season of 911, S1 of Criminal Minds gives me a bit of uncanny valley where everyone/thing isn't *quite* right.

Reid was an already established member of the team having been recruited by Gideon an unknown amount of time before he took that long “break” from the team after the bombing incident. The only member of the team that was “new” was Elle who only met everyone in episode 1 and became an official member of the team after working with them on the case from said episode.

Whenever Reid brings up JJ in earlier seasons, it always reminds me of the date he supposedly took her on haha, i love how that date is never again mentioned, a little secret between them, But that aside, i adore the fact that JJ confided in him about her love for something and everyone else as well about their own interests. i can imagine it so well, Reid visiting his mum or writing to her, trying to tell her about anything and everything to ease her loneliness. AND, it's universal isn't it? talking to mums about crushes and their interests. Genius FBI agent, three times Doctor but all of the above just makes him so lovable and relatable. This is also the first time he mentioned Schizophrenia being genetically passed. it's absolute worst when an illness happens to a person, but it's so much worse when you have such a detail in mind and just always expect for it to happen to you as well.. i'm a naturally anxious person, an overthinker, some of ADHD here and there and i can't imagine having to always be panicking about something happening to me. i love TV dearly but i have an unfortunate habit of putting myself in characters' shoes and scenes like this hit harder when it gives second hand anxiety lol.. i couldn't imagine going through what people go through waiting on diseases to happen to them.. Also, got to say, quotes in the beginning and at the end of the episodes have to be one of my favorite things about this show!

Hotch may be the team leader, officially. However, Gideon has been doing the job far longer and has more experience. So, in some ways, they basically get treated as co-leaders. In Arthurian legend, Sir Perceval had an adventure where he visited the Fisher King. He saw a Grail. But, he had been scolded in the past for asking too many questions. And so, he didn't ask the question that could have healed the Fisher King. He is also involved in the quest for the Holy Grail. In some legends, he finds it. In others, he helps another knight, Sir Galahad to find the Grail.
