Very sad episode but really loved how they handled it. Was cool to see the perspective of all memebers of the family. The bloody ending though 🙄 Araminta, when I catch you girlie...

Dropbox Tip: The quality of the video is lower while streaming so I recommend downloading or using google drive if thats an issue

In regards to Francesca, I don't think she was faking it. I think she was stressed and so her period was late. That was the only signal back then, that a woman was pregnant.

@20:55 I want to gently push back on the “not allowing herself to grieve” read. First of all, I DO think it’s clear that she’s neurodivergent (as an autistic person myself, I do think it’s a pretty clear indication of autistic traits, but regardless, she’s for sure neurodivergent), so the expectation of any neurotypical, normative display of emotions is an error. Second, in general, we often make the mistake of judging the range of grief (loss) reactions in a way that is not informed. Normal reactions to grief include: numbness, no feelings, detachment, dissociation, disconnection, blankness, anger, defensiveness, denial (etc., include anything and everything here). We somehow have decided that folks should be emoting, crying, outwardly displaying sadness, despair (like what we saw with Violet) - but that is not necessarily the mainstream, most common reaction to death. So we can’t assume because she doesn’t seem sad or emotional that she’s not grieving - this IS her grieving, this grappling for control and trying to keep herself together. And for her I imagine she will need time and privacy away from the frenzy of people to even begin to process her own feelings.
