9x10 Do you see anything developing with Alex and Eddie? What do you think is gonna happen with Christopher and Abigail? Why do you think Abigail is obsessed with Eddie? What did you think of the comment comparing Chimney to Gerrard? I thought it was in poor taste considering how racist he was and what he put Chimney & Hen through.

9x11 Why do you think Eddie had Maddie bid on him (by forking out 2.5k I may add)? I just find it interesting that the show keeps highlighting the fact that Eddie has an aversion to dating women… Do you think we’ll ever see Abigail again and what did you think of the conclusion of her arc? I’m glad they didn’t just make her a villain because I don’t think that would be a good look for 9-1-1 to continue to villainise those with clear mental health issues. How cute was Buck knitting with those old ladies? A fun fact is that Tim Minear said that he wanted to have Buck bid on Eddie because he knew Eddie didn’t wanna date but basically the entire production team were like “no you can’t do that because that’s just queerbait” which made me chuckle a little because Buck bidding on Eddie would not even be in the top 5 craziest things that has happened between them. I’m unsure if you’re planning to watch but just to let you know, there is a crossover with 9-1-1: Nashville. It is after episode 12 of the OG show. It’s 1x12 of 9-1-1: Nashville.

9x8 I understand that Hen is hurting like everyone else, and getting sick on top of it all definitely didn't help her stress levels. I honestly am frustrated though with that entire speech she made on the dinner intervention, outright telling them that none of them checked in with her and even said "nobody asked". While I can definitely say that they had their own moments when they were absorbed in their own grief, Buck has reached out to them, and it was noted last season that Buck was even asking Hen questions that she then realized were psychological check questions after Bobby's death. What are your thoughts as to where this new Hen storyline is going, with her getting sick and all? Do you have expectations on what you'd like the show to explore more in relation to this? --------- Fun fact: In an interview with Jennifer Love-Hewitt, she mentioned that recording the lines for SARA on this episode specifically felt so much like when she was doing "Ghost Whisperer". "9-1-1" truly is a show that a lot of people would say is "woke" but I'm glad that they're pointing out the terrors of using AI for things that were all done before by man. I understand that AI is supposed to be helpful, but relying on it fully is definitely going to make things not too good. Do you think that it's an important messaging from the show that they're trying to portray, especially with how AI has been used so much these days? (Should we maybe all listen to Eddie, our resident technophobe?) --------- This episode introduces a new character Alex Doyle, portrayed by AimeĂŠ Teegarden. Fun fact (?): AimeĂŠ Teegarden was Connie Britton's (Abby Clark from season 1) daughter in "Friday Night Lights". I think it's also interesting to point out that these two actresses who portrayed mother and daughter are linked to Oliver Stark (as Buck and Abby dated) and Ryan Guzman (as his character and AimeĂŠ's character dated in "Notorious", and their kissing scene is actually the most popular video on ABC's YouTube channel that is from one of the TV series aired in ABC). With what you've seen so far, what are your current thoughts about Alex at this point of the story?

9x9 Personal comments: This episode made me just want to see more of Eddie's ballroom dancing background again, seeing those fun clips of Eddie and Hen dancing together as part of her exercise. This was revealed in previous episodes that he used to love ballroom dancing and even joined competitions as a kid, but his parents had forced him in those mostly. I honestly hope that small stuff like that would be mentioned again at some point (and maybe even explored further), as it still ties somehow to Eddie being pressured as a kid by controlling parents. I love how this episode really reminds the viewers that this is the core of "9-1-1", that families don't have to be related by blood to be there for each other. Time and time again, the members of the 118 have shown up to help each other in ways they can, and it's such a beautiful episode with that in mind. --------- Question: What are your thoughts now with Harry being part of the 118? I think it's just crazy now to look back as we've seen him as a kid (even with not the same actor) all those seasons ago, and now he's working in the same firehouse where his stepdad used to be a captain of.

9x10 Fun fact: If you go back to Chimney's dream sequence, you can see that the 118 are chewing gum (just like the usual Chimney) during their rescue. It's a small thing but they seemed to have fun adding small details like that. Also, can I just say how they look really good in their formal dress uniform? They've used this multiple times now but it's just really good to see every time. When the "possession" emergency case was introduced a few episodes back, did you expect for it to be explored more like this, and actually becoming a bigger storyline? Have you noticed that more and more parallelisms between Eddie and Buck are happening lately? Episode 1 of this season already portrays that Eddie has dived head on to save Tripp Hauser, which was something Buck would have done in the past. Like they're portraying Eddie to be more daring and reckless instead. In this episode, Ravi points out that Buck usually picks up the "strays", which Eddie did by bringing Abigail to the station this time. Do you think they are alluding to something that'll happen soon, by somehow making Buck more careful and Eddie wilder? Maybe not to switch personalities, but are they rubbing off of each other?

9x11 Fun fact: When they first released a synopsis for this episode, there was a mention of "a medical examiner becomes entangled in a dangerous situation during an autopsy" involving snakes inside the corpse and the 118 was supposed to do this emergency, but it was left in the cutting room and is now a deleted scene. I wonder if they'll ever release it at some point. I just think that it might be nice to see, considering as Eddie wasn't a part of the snake emergency scene in season 1, and I wonder if it somehow would be a nice callback to that for whatever reason. ------------ This episode portrays yet another case of Buck and Eddie co-parenting Chris: Eddie being shocked about the reveal that someone spent $8,001 to go on a date with Buck in the past, considering that Buck practically spends so much time with him and Chris for free (and even saying that he will be telling this story to Chris, who might have a lot of questions); and Eddie calling Buck right after contacting 9-1-1 about his missing kid. There has been a lot of discourse among fans on Twitter that Buck isn't exactly "co-parenting" with Eddie as he's not considered as a parent and there was no straight up scene where they acknowledge Buck as a parent, but I personally don't think getting the title of "parent" isn't stopping Buck from being one to Chris. At this point in their lives, Buck has been in Christopher's life longer than his own mother (RIP Sharon) and there was even that scene from a previous season where Buck doesn't exactly consider himself as a guest in Eddie's house anymore. He is not as panicked as Eddie during the phone call this episode when Chris was missing, but he clearly was helping Eddie get his head right on to find his son. What are your thoughts in this dynamic that they have, now that Chris is older? ------------ So many things were happening with Eddie in this episode alone: - His kid was missing and ended up to be picked up from school by someone who he never approved to do that (and caused him so much panic and stress) - His truck got vandalized and his tires were even slashed (that must have cost so much money to get it all fixed up) - He gets caught in a love triangle (?) that he never signed up for - He gets almost killed by Abigail's father who thinks he was taking advantage of his daughter (even though he was just trying to help her move forward with her life) - He gets signed up unwillingly to the firefighter auction to perform awkwardly in front of an audience (how does he only get bid for $2,500 and it was even set up by Maddie, who even asked for an additional fee for her effort?!) - He pays for the said $2,500 to pay for the bid himself as he does not want to get a date with some random person What are your thoughts with Eddie's non-existent love life this season (so far from what you've watched) and the last? There were hints sprinkled around that AimeĂŠ Teegarden (Alex Doyle) was brought in to the show to be Eddie's love interest this season, knowing that they both worked together and had so much chemistry in "Notorious", but there's clearly none of that here in "9-1-1" and it seems that they have completely trashed this idea. The scene with Buck arriving at the hospital to see Eddie after getting punched and attacked by Abigail's dad, with him only focused on Eddie and only saying "hi" to Athena but not Alex was... an interesting choice. He even called the bruise on Eddie as "sexy", which was some crazy wording.

Question for upcoming episodes that you will be watching (more of a heads up), 9x12 introduces a storyline that is interconnected to "9-1-1 Nashville"'s 1x12 episode, and as it will be a crossover episode with the main "9-1-1" series, I just wanted to ask if you will be watching that? I don't think you've watched their crossover with "9-1-1 Lone Star" but I thought to just ask.

Episode 8 FUN FACT: Jennifer Love Hewitt voiced SARA, including all of SARA’s multilingual dialogue. She later joked that speaking Japanese was surprisingly the easiest part. The AI storyline wasn’t written as “AI is evil.” Tim Minear said it was really about proving why human dispatchers can’t be replaced. 1. I found it entertaining and intriguing that Athena invited Alex as a mediator to hopefully reconcile Hen and Chim. Do you think it was necessary? How do you think Maddie and Karen feel about the falling out? 2. Hen asks, “Were any of you even a little worried about me?” Was that fair? Did the team fail her, or did Hen push everyone away without realizing it? Also, the camera fixed on Bucks reaction to that response. What do you think he’s feeling in that moment? 3. To me, Eddie has always been a man of action and leans more on the practical than the abstract. The call at the store, relied on him being empathetic and patient. He’s able to talk about Afghanistan (multiple times this season, in fact) without it pulling him under by the memories. Do you think this signifies growth in Eddie or was it a performance to get the job done? Did you enjoy seeing this more openly vulnerable side to him? 4. Chim mentioned that if it were Buck he’d fire him without hesitation. Do you think that’s true? Would Maddie support Chim in that? What side do you believe Eddie would fall on if that were the case? 5. Buck expected Eddie to back him—and was clearly disappointed when he didn’t. Why? Is Buck simply used to Eddie being in his corner, or did this disagreement feel different than conflicts we’ve seen before? 6. Even while disagreeing, Buck and Eddie keep gravitating back to each other. What does that say about their relationship? Does the conflict strengthen the idea that they’re each other’s emotional anchor, or is fandom reading too much into it?

Episode 9 Welcome to the 118, Harry Grant! Also, this is what the 118 does best, rally around each other and be a family. Loved seeing all of them take part in Hen’s recovery. Even Christopher! By the way, in case you didn’t know, pseudo seizures totally a real thing. I had two calls last year involving them. It’s wild! Loved seeing Bucks backyard be used for multiple things. 1. How did you feel seeing Harry and Athena’s ongoing journey through him attending the academy? I am glad that Athena’s concern and even Harry’s trepidation wasn’t a one and done single episode arc, at the beginning of the season. 2. Do you think Chimney has come into his own as captain of the 118 or are there more lessons for him to learn? Did the conflict with Hen help him or did it cast doubt on whether he could do the job? 3. Oliver Stark has described Buck as someone who “loves Eddie” without defining what that means. After these episodes, how would you describe that love? Has their relationship evolved since earlier seasons, or are we simply seeing a deeper version of the friendship we’ve always known?

Episode 10 This is one of the few episodes that revisits an earlier emergency to explore its legal and emotional aftermath, rather than just the rescue itself. I really appreciated this look in to what certain cases can do to first responders as well as the victims. It is a common occurrence for first responders to get attached or feel protective for certain patients, as well as what it looks like, when the patient also gets attached. It can sometimes be a tough balance, especially with kids. For me, one of the biggest takeaways from this episode is that Eddie's journey no longer revolves around Buck. I saw that as a sign of healthy character growth, not distance. I enjoyed seeing Eddie take up for the people who sometimes do not get a voice and slip through the cracks of our system. It is a good reminder. We are trying to get more social workers in the field, but it is tough transition. 1. Eddie spends the entire episode trying to save Abigail, even after the emergency is over. Is that compassion…or does Eddie still struggle to separate helping someone from carrying their burdens? Who is Eddie when no one needs rescuing? Do you think he's genuinely healing, or just redirecting his need to be needed? 2. How do you feel about the reminder of Eddie’s anger issues? Do you think it is relevant here and does it paint an adequate picture of who Eddie is? 3. Chimney is trying to lead like Bobby, while Eddie is trying to help everyone around him. Who do you think is handling Bobby's legacy better at this point in the season? When asking, “who am I after Bobby?” How do you feel each character with answer that?

Episode 11 FUN FACT: Aisha directed this episode, making it her second episode directed. She said in an interview they played Genuine’s “Pony” on set while doing the auction. May/Ravi…thoughts? This was ship born purely out of fandom when they just stood next to each other and we were like “what if…”. Makes you think how easy it is for a het couple to be born with very little build up. REMINDER: EPISODE 12 OF 9-1-1 SHOULD BE FOLLOWED BY EPISODE 12 OF SEASON 1 OF 9-1-1: NASHVILLE, THEN DO EPISODE 13. IF YOU NEED A PRIMER FOR NASHVILLE LET ME KNOW, BUT HONESTLY, I DON’T THINK IT’S IMPORTANT. 1. For the fans, there was a 3 week break between episode 10 and 11 (even though that doesn’t happen on the show). Imagine our panic trying to figure out what happens to Chris and how Abigail will be painted. How do you think they handled her storyline? 2. How do you feel about the conversation Maddie and Buck had in their backyard? One of the hardest things people in this field struggle with is when they get injured or their body no longer behaves the same. It’s a tough hit, but also, I think Buck’s comment of “I like who I am, I just don’t think anyone else will” is poignant no matter who you are. 3. Did you catch Eddie asking Buck if his back was still hurting due to what he’s noticed? Do you think that’s a meaningful aspect of their relationship, especially on Eddies side, that he notices what Buck is not disclosing? 4. Did you expect that Eddie would confide in Maddie to get him out of the auction? What do you think Maddie would think about the request? Are we finally hitting forward momentum on how Buck and Eddie’s relationship is developing…
