2.6k today. but a lot of that was already drafted... so does it really count?
well... who cares.
but maybe it balances out anyway, i also took a bit of time to ground myself before starting.
my agreement with myself is that i'm setting out a certain amount of time each day.
i do not have to write during that time if i do not feel it. but i am not allowed to do anything else.

this is advice i wanted to try out after picking it up from... a certain recently disgraced writer. i have enjoyed the tenor of his advice for some while now....... but now it's kind of super cringe given things that have recently come out about him! iykyk. it's offensively tragic. tragically offensive. i have some personal frustration about it.

but anyway, i find it a good strategy to make sure i am dedicating time without necessarily pressuring myself. that's the goal, anyway. we'll see how i adapt as time goes on.

i said yesterday that as i'm writing, i'm trying to de-emphasize sight as much as possible.
i said i'd tell you why today.
but i think the best way i can do that is to tell you the name of the story-- and thereby, what it is based on.
