[Not Rewards] [user forgot to add a title beside that tag] (Patreon)

hi guys! so normally this or yesterday would be the day that i post the usual dealioso for last month's new patrons about taking care of the reward stuff ... but unfortunately it's a little iffy for me to properly do that since i don't have the files i need to properly keep track of that all from here ...
it goes back to what i said before about having forgotten to pack some files, but, like i said before, i had a back up in having dan send me the files from my computer... and then he took apart my computer to clean and make spaces for his instead
but wait!
there's more!
not -only- is my desktop now dismantled... the desk which it once topped is apparently gone.
and also my room has been entirely torn apart.
haha oops

basically my mom decided to redo my entire room while i was gone, which... is cool. i had mentioned shoving my bed into the corner to make more space, so she totally arranged that, but also, she threw out half of my bedframe redid my carpets and rearranged everything else in my room
so now instead of a desk i have a giant glass oval which i have expressly told her i don't like stacked on top of two shelves
though i have just been told i might be getting pink glowly lights under the glass which i guesssssssss i can deal with.
we'll see if it's worth but in the mean time i am Nervous

ANYway the point of this is: i may or may not actually have a place to even use my computer for a while after i get home next week + plus jet lag and vertigo again possibly means i won't actually get to doing the reward stuff for this month for several extra days
but dear march patrons please be very sure you will not be forgotten ok?

based on follow up comments from last post i've decided, and i'm looking forward to streaming some of my poison mono playthrough for you guys when i get back and situated! i think that this is a great solution for the weeks when i'm just doing eventing/story stuff since that isn't the kind of thing that can be streamed, that way i can still do stuff with you all each week!
surely it wouldn't always be reborn either but we'll see what happens~

as for the playthrough itself i had a couple struggles before i could play again. i lost some progress a couple days ago when i found out that double battles were crashing on load each time... awkward.... turns out it was because of an oversight when we implemented necrozma's ultraburst. then after i fixed that AI stopped taking any action (awwww yeah we back at that again!) because of some typos in the newly-added AI potion logic (which is still under construction) soooo for the time being i just rolled back to a previous version of the script (though it should be fixed by now)

so i (finally) beat julia after having to throw myself against her repeatedly............. listen, just because i made this game doesn't mean i'm good at it. and since half my team is weak to flying, her oricorio was a much of more of a menace than even electrode
which, i suppose, is appropriate for julia.

i originally was going to try using ivysaur to put minun to sleep and set up toxic spikes, but... i forgot what the electric field's effect actually is so basically i actively cucked myself
and then i tried using stunky's smokescreen spam to make oricorio useless so that i could survive on it and maybe set up toxispikes too.... but turns out the AI was pretty effective in switching out to remove accuracy drops. so that was nice to see. felt good.

the AI's also pretty keen on not dealing with leech seed's bullshit. minun always encores ivysaur into leech seed but then it'll switch out, so i eventually won by letting oricorio switch into leech seed and then switching out to sack something to drop encore, and letting ivysaur outmuscle the bird with the hp drain. after that and getting toxispikes set up the rest of the match was letting ivysaur carry the rest of the team on its back and slugging it out. in the end electrode finally died to poison and leech as it chewed through my team, leaving only one survivor standing

everything since then has been super free. i feel like the AI might be a little iffy around toxic spikes so i'll continue to consider that as i play, but it melted victoria, cain was outpoisoned, scraggies got the seed 'n sleep treatment, and then there was tangrowth

i was prepared to just burn through tangrowth with trubbish's acid spray, but i elected to lead with ekans to soften it up again and lay down paralysis since i couldn't actually remember what secondary type pulse tangrowth is..... i swear i made this game by the way. 

but uh
ekans kind of accidentally

solo'd the whole fight.

wrap + lucky paralysis / bite flinches... did the trick. so like. go quoille. i'm bloody impressed.

now i'll wait until american night so i can catch new friends properly. back to work in the mean time!
