What's up gamers, Victory Road is coming along pretty well. In the past like day or so we've done a Fair Bit of Shit™:

  • Music for all maps
  • Teleport events for all maps
  • Stair events so your diagonal movement experience exists
  • Rock Climbs, complete with convenience feature to display the animation as little as possible
  • Metadata, for fields etc for all maps
  • Terrain Tags for all the stuff that needs it... ledges, water, ice, climbing vines, etc are examples of things that use those

which may sound like it's a lot, and i can't say it's a trivial amount of work altogether, but it has been a solid prelude to have all of that out of the way before really getting into the meat of the eventing i.e puzzles and story

Things that are left to do besides puzzles and story are things like cosmetic events and hidden items, which i have to do afterwards to make sure i have enough event space left to not lag, encounters so that i don't run into one bajillion zubat trying to test these puzzles, and renaming the maps to their in game names instead of their working maps that i have so i don't get hopeless lost trying to click through twenty files all called "Victory Road".

speaking of the encounters though, i'll have you all help me with that when the times comes. but that time has not come. it is later. have patience, young padowans. patience like the patrat.

other other things: the town map has been finished! as y'all know, it's updated each episode as the playable area expands, and we have made it, reddit:

lil crowded up at the top, but that's all right. the real value is beneath the surface anyway.

finally, cass also took it on herself to finish out the mining minigame with a much request addition in the more recent evolutionary stones! you can see her post and screenshots of them in action here.

come 19 the stones shall run rich. give her a shout out for making this happen!
