Another page I did start to finish in 2 days! A lot of this is "recycled" art but I still have to redraw everything... I looked and I have done 8 pages in one month. That's what my old schedule was doing manga-styled comics by hand. But then I realized I did eight pages with my kid on winter break (so home all the time), with my family getting sick seemingly all month (I have a cold right now) and with Christmas stuff going on, so potentially I would work faster during a regular month. That's pretty exciting. A lot of people warned me I would go slower with color comics but so far I'm not. That could change once I get more characters on the pages and more background elements, of course. In fact, it probably will...

Behind The Scenes

I took snippets from the original. I re-inked these, of course, and redrew one panel. It was kind of fun to take old panels and retool them with different dialogue.

Inked the characters, added the dialogue and balloons, panels, etc.

Did silhouettes for the backgrounds and the characters. Like I said in another post, this has become a very important step for me that saves me time later on.

Flat colors!

Shadows, spot blacking and some rough ideas for the backgrounds.

Finished the characters and then after this I finished the backgrounds and added SFX.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas etc all! Like I said, I was sick, my husband was sick, and my kid was just getting over whatever we all had. We were sick for my wedding anniversary too, so I just stayed home and blew my nose and drew, haha. So much for that.
