Season 2 of Half Sisters went on way longer than I intended - but I loved every minute. 😊

In this little Season 2 farewell, I wanted to include all the gals from this season and a couple of special pinups with the 'sisters' and their moms since it fell on Mother's Day. 💕

Gemma

Wow Emory what a beautiful surprise. Just love the image of Sandy and Nikki. Nice also the combination of ‘mothers and daughters’ - this too took me by surprise, what a beautiful, and such a natural , normal real life subject pairing. The image of Kendra and Janice is also so cute. I just loved the look of scorn on Kendra’s face, she certainly does not hide her feelings around her forced feminisation status.

Crewchick

Brava my dear Emory! Chef' kiss! Absolutely beautiful. And the "mother - daughter" pictures, wow! And so apropos for Mother's day, and thoroughly in character as well. Everyone is a work of art. Poor Jessica, no one to share her frame with! As Gemma mentioned Kendra does seem to have a constant look of scorn in her face. Does her inclusion in this group perhaps mean though that we might see a conversion of Kendra to join the "Coven" forming to support Nikki and plot against Hutchinson and New Dawn? And of course I will be scrubbing these images for Easter eggs and clues about next season! 😉 Now I am even more eager for the start of Season 3! This will be a long summer. ⌚ vs⏳

Crystal Peaches

What a stunning way to end season 2. Adore these especially. the one of Sandy and Nikki

Erica Rost

These young women are full of charm!

Helena Grace

Everyone is so pretty! Love the mother daughter shots, they're amazing. Lovs seeing the girls together. Sandy all set in her university swag and Nikki killing it in that outfit. Girl is so fit, it's wild. Evie & lauren and Janice & Kendra are a fun pair of shots. The different body languages. We need to find Jessica someone though! Absolutely love these, as always

Jade Diaz

Kendra is in no mental place to coach someone else about how to actualize as she herself is *not* actualized at all. (Alas.)

Jade Diaz

Love that Lauren's fingers are quite consciously *not* in Evie's lmao

Crewchick

Not saying she is in any way actualized. But you don't have to be actualized to want to "stick it" to at least some of the people who did "it" to him/her. And in the process maybe gain more access to his/her former home and life. Maybe even some limited access as a quid pro quo for helping? And possibly in so doing and seeing the success of Nikki, Sandy, and others in their transitions and feeling the support there for them by the other women in this growing group, and perhaps with some engagement with Jill when she shows up, Kendra just might take some baby steps in accepting her new reality and making her own transition. But of course never take her at her word and have an eye on her always.

Crewchick

But they are not fully pulled away either. And she does appear to be dressing more in Evie's style. Things that make you go Hmmmm!?!

Crewchick

Speaking to someone else's comment about Nikki's "fit bod". I would love to see in Season 3 a look at Nikki's new and adjusted workout routine and wardrobe as she begins to accept the possibility of athletic competition as a female. Nikki, welcome to the world of sports bras, leggings, bike shorts and booty shorts!😳🤩. Just not sure how she will accept it at first and how much might be imposed by Hutchinson and how much introduced from a place of kindness by those supporting her like Mary, Sandy, Lauren and Evie? How much complaining will she do and how long until putting on the "fits" becomes second nature to her? When she hits the gym she will be turning heads and putting a lot of the frat and intramural "jock bros" in their place pretty quick, even if she can't bench press as much as Nick could. I bet she can still kick a lot of butts of guys hanging in the gym to look cool and watch chicks in spandex, and who have never played in any NCAA sport.

Jade Diaz

Not even a little

Jade Diaz

She is an awful person all the way down. Whatever might’ve been done to her, she isn’t a role model for anyone.

Maggie Heels

OMG... all are epic but Mother & Daughter are mind blowing 😍😍😍😍

AB

It would be a big help if you could add more tags with character names or locations. If I want to find all interactions involving Nikki's mom for instance. Just something to think about.

Brandi

Random question are the pinup actually like cannon events or just artwork you do for fun? Either way I love them just curious

Emory Ahlberg

Hi Brandi! I tend to think of them as "just for fun" - almost like the 'actresses' are having a photoshoot. Otherwise, Nikki would have a sourpuss face 99% of them time lol.

Gunnar

Out of curiosity - what is the timeline compared to jack and jill? I remember seeing Jill see Nikki a couple episodes back going out to shop for a dress - does that mean Jack and Jill is around 2 weeks behind? And how many weeks are left until college classes start for the year in half sisters?

Emory Ahlberg

Hi Gunnar! Yes, that's about correct. For both, stories it's mid to late August of 2020. There's only about a week left before classes begin at St. Christopher's for Nikki and Sandy!

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Diana! Yeah, Nikki is definitely looking forward to starting up some kind of new sport in the near future. She's already in crazy good shape, but that doesn't mean she doesn't need training! If any guys happen to hit on her during that time, they're in for some expert middle fingers, I think. 😉

Emory Ahlberg

Evie is always holding on to that little spark of hope lol

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you so much, Hel! 💕 I really loved the mother-daughter shots, too... and I also felt bad for poor Jessica. Although it looks like she is doing some research. 😉

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you so much, Crystal! I also really love the images of Sandy and Nikki having fun together. Hopefully we'll see more of that in Season 3. 💕

Emory Ahlberg

Oh, thank you so much, Diana! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, especially the Mother's Day portraits. Jessica standing alone in her frame was intentional. Her journey has been so shaped by Sofia's absence, by that profound loss and her lingering guilt. Sofia was her mirror in many ways, the person who helped her understand her own place in the world. Without her, Jessica's a bit adrift, but also fiercely independent. Now, Kendra. Her scorn is practically etched into her features! It’s not just surface-level anger. I imagine it as a cauldron of humiliation, the brutal stripping away of her male identity (as Ken), the sheer powerlessness of her transition at the hands of Xu and Davis, and the daily degradation of her current servitude. Remember, Ken Ferris wasn't "reconditioned" or "guided" into femininity with any pretense of care, however twisted. His was a punishment, pure and simple, designed by Xu to be as demeaning as possible. He was made into Davis's "wife" as a final, cruel irony. That kind of trauma doesn't just evaporate. As for her joining a "Coven" to support Nikki and plot against Hutchinson and Second Dawn… that's a fascinating thought. I don’t see Kendra as someone who’d join out of altruism or sisterly solidarity. If Kendra aligns with them, it would be purely transactional, born out of a desperate desire for revenge or to reclaim some sliver of power. She might see in Nikki or Sandy a reflection of her own forced transformation, but any empathy would be deeply buried under layers of bitterness. Her primary motivation would likely be to see her tormentors suffer, especially Davis. Could she be a dangerous, unpredictable ally? Absolutely. But her loyalty would always be to herself first!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you so much, Gemma! I’m really glad you enjoyed those pairings. The "mothers and daughters" theme is definitely close to my heart. I think it’s such a potent dynamic, full of love, expectation, and sometimes profound misunderstanding. And Kendra, oh boy. Her scorn is her armor. She is someone who’s had her entire identity and agency ripped away, and that defiance is the last shred of "Ken" she's clinging to. Janice, in contrast, is perhaps further along a different, more tragic path of internalizing that trauma - unless she can find a way out!

Jade Diaz

She’s got more of a shot with Nikki than Lauren. 😂

Crewchick

That is exactly how I would see her. Not an ally of mutual sheared interests and values, but a transactional one doing it purely for her own self serving interests as long those interests align with the goal of the coven. Not a person to trust but may have knowledge, skills and access of value if a group we’re looking to take down Second Dawn, its clients and those that supported it. If Mrs. Ferris has history with Hutchinson so might Ken Ferris who may have personal motivation to see him brought down along with Davis and Xu. Once that is achieved and Kendra has gotten whatever she was seeking all bets would be off as to what she might do.
