In recent days, a new release of the Rockstar Games Launcher has rolled out, adding additional dependencies to its service, thus rendering it non-functional on Windows 7 and 8.1.
The latest revision to Second System version 3.2 enables the use of DLL redirection methods which will not frustrate the Rockstar service.

Instructions for usage
-Go to %programfiles%\Rockstar Games\Launcher (or wherever you have elected to install the launcher)
-Create a folder named "RockstarService.exe.local"
-Copy Windows' bcrypt.dll (from %windir%\system32) to the folder and rename it to bcryp1.dll
-Copy Second System's x64 p_crps.dll to the folder (usually located at %localappdata%\SecondSystem\x64) and rename it to bcrypt.dll

This should allow the launcher to work. Work on automating this process within Second System will start soon.

Is there a known issue with the firefox updater? It tries to update but it keeps rolling back and failing. Also why does obs studio work on windows 8.1 and not 7? Thanks

I wasn't aware of one until now (one 8.1 system updated from 152 to 155.0.1), but I see that there is one system with Waterfox where the updater launches the browser at the beginning of the updating process (the small window with the progress bar), while the browser itself indicates that the update failed, while the update is impossible due to the browser running. Not sure if this is intended behaviour to have the updater launch the browser before finishing the update. OBS Studio takes advantage of Windows 8.x DXGI desktop duplication for screen/desktop capture. I believe the legacy GDI methods were removed outright, making the latest versions not very useful on 7 and below.

what about an api-ms-win-core-psapi-ansi-l1-1-0.dll error when launching spotify for the first time on Windows 7?

Also another problem is discord force closing after wake on Windows 7. I hover over the discord icon on the taskbar and it goes away starting with Secondsystem 3.2

is this going to be a .bat script update to the auto installer? or a whole new update? or like are you going to make a seperate "Update" fork to the rockstar games launcher? i know its possible. its just shitty software. it always has been. will this still allow gta5 to be played on vista with the rockstar launcher patch for 7 and 8 8.1 and 10?
