It takes place in both Japanese / Korean / Chinese inspired settings and European / English inspired settings. In this scene, Ellie is chatting with her new friend Mizu (short for Mizuki) but she's apprehensive. He's a very pretty guy. The tone of the story varies much more greatly than it did before. It's simultaneously highlights the darker and uglier parts of humanity, as well as the beauty. I want it to be more explicit and vulgar, but also very thought provoking. We're all adults here and life is rather interesting if we're able to dig deep into the human subconscious. With the original version of She Weeps for the Devil, I was quite emotionally suppressed and felt like an alien trying to simulate human desires and motivations. It's because I could only tap into a small percentage of my actual pathos / feelings, but now I feel much more deeply so I think the scenes feel more human overall.I'm still working out the kinks since I've never worked in an official manga format before. I think I need to work on making the lines crispier, which means I need to get more confidence drawing without aliasing. That is, drawing the lines with hard edges instead of blurry pixels.
