Hi Cassie. You typed Full Reaction in the description

T.L.A

IT has a whole second movie. Your only half way through it...

Chris Retzlaff

I was excited the next two episodes were already out...she's a trickster

brismithejedi

I've said it before, but this is one of the best shows I've ever seen. I hope Cassie is able to appreciate the amazing story behind the horror.

Chris Thom

Really, really glad you're doing this one. Intricate story, weaving characters and themes, emotional, scary at times, dramatic...what's not to like? It is on the sad side though, indeed.

Shad Kanyak

I’ve been through this series at least 4 times. Yet I’m still impatient and can’t wait for the next 2 episodes.

Ria Grix

My traditional Popcorn time is in bed with a comforting cup of night time tea… but there’s no bloody way I’m watching this sat in the dark in my little 19th century cottage on my own, nope, nopity nope!

Welcome to the Mike Flanagan universe! He's made several movies (including Dr Sleep, the sequel to the Shining) and miniseries. They're all very scary, but with deep stories, great characters and writing. He also re-uses a lot of the same actors, so if you like them here you can expect to see them again in his other work.

Have seen this one, been awhile. The father a little Creepy the way he talks out of the side of his mouth. Makes me want to rewatch.

Chris Thom

Oh that sounds super fun actually. Happy October!

I'm a huge Mike Flanagan fan, I've seen everything he's done, and was already a big fan of his just from his movies before he ever started doing these Netflix shows. When this came out, I thought it was hands down the best thing he'd ever done, and I thought it was so good, in fact, that I imagined it would be his magnum opus, and the greatest thing he'd ever make. I just couldn't imagine something being better than this. This show is absolutely incredible, both terrifying and poignant and heartbreaking and heartwarming. It's truly a masterpiece. However, a couple years later he released Midnight Mass and I think that may be even better. Cassie, if you end up liking this show, I think you'd also like Midnight Mass, and it's not nearly as scary as this is.

Ian Tonge

Oh man, I love them both, and this isn't usually my sort of thing at all. I'm not sure I could pick one over the other - they're both just excellent.

Stranger2Reality

Yeah, it is seriously like comparing two perfect diamonds or something. They're both among the greatest miniseries of all time, just so rich and rewarding. I think anyone who hasn't seen them would almost certainly enjoy them.

Chris Thom

Oh woah just remembered there was a Luke in that Haunting movie from the 90's. Totally forgot that. He was just a random stranger to Nell though.

Chris Thom

I think I prefer this one by a hair. I liked this family a lot and the roles the actors play felt pretty perfect for them. Midnight Mass is great, too, but all the religious stuff was a little heavy handed.

Modders

God I hope she does 3-4 like this. This show is so binge worthy. Is so hard not to do.

Chris Thom

Heard somewhere that Flannagan designed the series to be watched three episodes at a time. Or that the show flows best that way.

Julien

What's the schedule for this show?

Chris Thom

Heard anything about what he's working on now? I thought I read that Amazon paid to pry him from Netflix.

Julien

Are the edited reactions for 3-4 out yet? What tier do I need to see them?

Mike Lemon

No. The full reactions aren't even out yet.

Julien

I'm very confused by the membership tiers. Episodes 3-4 appear to be out now but I can't see them with the $3 or $6 membership even though it says $3.99? Edit: Ugh I see. I upgraded to the $10 tiers and it turns out.... It's the full reaction, not the edited one. Ugh. I can't do full with my set up.

Sean

Midnight Mass was really good. Also Hush (2016)

Stranger2Reality

@Sean S - You really can't go wrong with anything Mike Flanagan has done. I've seen everything he's made and liked every single movie and show of his. Some are better than others, but even the "lesser" things he's done are still good.
