K, Zachary

Ooooops, no but when watched this on Sunday night. My Wild Love said Cassie's heart is going to break with that ending.

Clarence Newman

Thank you for the typo, Cassie. It gives us something worth commenting on. 😂

Clay F

Thanks for continuing with S2. Your reaction this episode = excellent. You came across highly invested in the characters and the story. You seemed on edge much of this episode, which is not surprising considering the engaging content. You are wondering about the love triangle = Ellie, Dina, Jesse. I am glad that Jesse and Tommy are in Seattle, though we didn't get to see Tommy. You were feeling a little sorry for Nora until she made that comment about Joel. You definitely seemed heartfelt with the brief flashback of Joel at the end.

Kevin O'Donnell

Glad you decided to continue watching Cassie here comes your joel flashback episode.. And I don't think the spores were mentioned in season 1. But they were definitely in the first game. Not sure why they didn't include it earlier in the TV show.

Cassie, have you ever thought about checking out a side-by-side comparison video of the games and the show? I think you'll be shocked at how amazing video games have become over the past few decades. It's also fun to see how well they adapted certain elements. You can compare scenes to see which ones stayed the same and what was changed. Plus, it gives you some context for what we gamers played through. Comparison Video for Season One: https://youtu.be/2bglOoMxKnM

Only 7 comments. Sigh. Does anyone remember when Cassie could generate 100 times that many posts on a thread? (Oh yeah. It was 3 days ago.😁)

Cole Jennett

That’s never going to happen on a YouTube edit though is it?

Clarence Newman

Generally a lot more than 7, Cole, which you know as well as I do, is far more about people struggling with The Last Of Us than it is about Cassie's popularity. The summary of my post is that her channel is doing pretty well right now. (And maybe the teeniest pop at Last Of Us Season 2).

TheSingulatarian

Cassie should watch the "The Stand" (1994). It is about 6 hours so she could knock it off in 2 or 3 episodes of her show. Same sort of post-apocalyptic theme as "The Last of Us". Based upon in my opinion Steven King's best book.

Chris Thom

Did you see the remake that came out (few years ago I think?) Curious how many liked that. Or not.

TheSingulatarian

You Me and the Movies did a watch of the remake. Didn't seem like it was very good. They only told the last 1/3 of the story and one needs the first half of the story to develop the characters. I don't think the 1994 version is the definitive version as they also cut big chunks out, but it still follows the story pretty well. I don't the definitive version has been made yet.

Thomas Kennedy

Check out Alanna Ubach’s IMDb page - she plays Hanrahan, the Boss WLF Lady. One of the most versatile actors… you’ll definitely be surprised by one of her credits from 2001 (one of yours and Carly’s faves, I believe)

Clarence, currently at 15 comments. Cassie said that some of her friends have stopped watching S2. But what is important to me is that Cassie remains invested – making the content more enjoyable for me to watch. Note also that the number of comments on YT edits of episodes of other series have generally also been low, and unlike here, that’s with the YT edits grouping episodes instead of only having a single episode. See list below with examples of low numbers of comments. An advantage for LoU S2 is being reacted to as aired, but there is hate for S2. Yet, LoU S2 is currently by far the No. 1 most-watched TV series on MAX (HBO). 2025 (avg about 3200 paid Patreon members) 15 comments = [YT Edit] The Last of Us (S2:E5) 14 comments = [YT Edit] The Last of Us (S2:E4) 28 comments = [YT Edit] The Last of Us (S2:E3) 2024 (avg about 3400 paid Patreon members) 29 comments = [YT Edit] The Haunting of Hill House (EP 1-2) 32 comments = [YT Edit] Star Trek: TNG (S4 EP 26 | S5 EP 01) 14 comments = [YT Edit] Masters of the Air (Parts 3,4,5,6) 13 comments = [YT Edit] Masters of the Air | Parts 1-2 2023 (avg about 3000 paid Patreon members) 14 comments = [YT Edit] The Mandalorian S3:1-2 10 comments = [YT Edit] The Mandalorian S3:5-8 17 comments = [YT Edit] True Detective S1:7-8 8 comments = [YT Edit] True Detective S1:5-6 4 comments = [YT Edit] True Detective S1:3-4 December 2022 (about 3100 paid Patreon members) 14 comments = [YT Edit] The Queen's Gambit EP 3-5 17 comments = [YT Edit] The Queen's Gambit EP 6-7 July – Oct 2022 (avg about 2700 paid Patreon members) 5 comments = [YT Edit] The Mandalorian S2 5-6 12 comments = [YT Edit] The Mandalorian S2: 3-4 11 comments = [YT Edit] The Mandalorian S2: 1-2 7 comments = [YT Edit] The Mandalorian 7-8 7 comments = [YT Edit] The Mandalorian 5-6 9 comments = [YT Edit] The Mandalorian 3-4 16 comments = [YT Edit] Obi-Wan Parts V & VI

That’s some heavy research, Clay. Interesting stuff. It’s much ado about nothing, though, because I’m not suggesting there’s anything wrong with a low comment count in The Last of Us YT edits. There’s two reasons why they’re so low. 1) people are struggling with season 2. And 2) The new episodes have just come out, so we’re either watching them with Cassie (full reaction) or watching them at home and then with Cassie on the YT edit (as I do), which means we all empty our guns on the full reaction post. By the time the edit comes around, the only thing worth pointing out is Cassie’s typo. Overall, the purpose of my OP was to point out how healthy the channel is, given the 700+ comments on Pollception.

Chris Thom

Looks like anything that involves audience participation gets the most comments by far. So polls, and Pick-a-Flick. And one firestorm of comments for the appropriateness of American Psycho.

Clay F

Yeah, the 700+ comments on Pollception is incredible. LM Reactions has 596 comments on their post this month asking for recommendations for poll candidates to select the next TV series. I think Mad Men will be the TV show ultimately selected, which I am excited about. Mad Men = awesome TV. There are misogynistic aspects that will infuriate those 2 girls (a different generation) in their late 20s. They demonstrated that in their reaction to Sopranos they are near completion. I mean c'mon -- what did they expect -- a mob boss with his office in a strip club, and a stable of mistresses. Some of the same with the "Mad Men" protagonist who has the most beautiful wife in the world (and with young kids) but still having intimate female relationships on the side.

Clarence Newman

I don't get the feeling Mad Men or The Sopranos would work on PiB.

Clarence Newman

Gary Sinise, right? The only thing I'd ever seen him in before that was Forrest Gump. I was so naive back then, when I saw him in The Stand, my first thought was "Hey, he's got legs!"

Clay F

They not any worse than Game of Thrones she has decided to react to. I think that both The Sopranos and Mad Men would be awesome for the channel -- such great TV that would captivate her.

Clarence Newman

Not better or worse, Clay, just not good series' for Cassie to watch. I don't think Game of Thrones is either, but if she watches that, it will bring in very healthy view figures. Not sure about the other two.

Cole Jennett

Game of Thrones has characters she will be able to cheer for. That’s not the case with The Sopranos. I can’t speak to Mad Men
