LukeG84

Cassie, when will the download link be available on the Full Reaction post?

Tyler Foster

Fingers crossed this journey takes you to Aquaman (2018) and Birds of Prey (2020), which I enjoy. I'd also take the opportunity to finally sit down with Zack Snyder's Justice League if you watch that (no thanks on ever subjecting myself to the theatrical version ever again).

Charles Briggs

Hopefully Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) and Wonder Woman (2017) next 🤞 with Carly of course 😍

Joe

I second Birds of Prey

Above Average Dave

The only place to go from here is WONDER WOMAN and then straight to THE SNYDER CUT of JUSTICE LEAGUE. The first will fill in the blanks with Diana Prince/aka Wonder Woman and the second is, like the ultimate cut above, a much deeper and more interesting fleshing out of all the characters. Fun fact for JLA — Afflect and Gadot shine as the stars of the movie and offer differing looks at two characters who know what must be done, despite whatever the cost. Their chemistry is also palpable.

William Brownlee

Liked Wonder Woman mostly. Did not care for Justice League. Aquaman was OK. It is always hard to make a really good Superman movie because he is so powerful. You either have to find a way to weaken him or have a villian so powerful that it makes the fight over the head of most mortals. Batman can be more down to earth and those are the stories I like the most. In the Marvel's comics I liked when the super heros like Daredevil or Spiderman fought more local villains and then characters like Thor or Doctor Strange fought the galactic threats.

Mark White

hmmm.... now do i watch this in the morning, as usual for me? or do i watch it now? thinking that the YT bots will have it down by the time morning comes round! I'll wait. leave it alone YT!

baz0348

Auqaman yes I agree as Auqaman is part of the universe there watching so is wonder woman. Why birds of prey it's nothing to do with zack snyder or the justice league?

Jim K

I didn’t realize Cassie hasn’t seen Wonder Woman yet. Gotta do that soon.

Joe J

Mark, just watch it here on patreon.

Bill Maurer

Joining with the others in saying "Wonder Woman" should be watched next and then finish the storyline with Snyder's "Justice League". "Aquaman" is worth watching as well, especially since she is fond of him from GoT and others. Enjoy and thanks for all you do

Tyler Foster

Birds of Prey does take place in the same universe. Also, it's a good movie.

Clay F

+1 for Wonder Woman over Justice League

Clay F

I've used free ClipGrab for about a year. If I want to download full reactions with no download link, I click on youtube to see the full reaction in youtube, and then use ClipGrab (https://clipgrab.org/) to download the youtube video as mp4. Free, relatively easy to use, and no limit on quality. You have to download and install ClipGrab but that quick and easy to do.

LukeG84

Thanks Clay. I’ll give that a try.

Brian McGovern

Carly could do Justice League extended because from memory, it is presented in chapters. You could do 4 chapters per screening.

baz0348

It was a flop and you don't seem to understand the premise of what she's doing she's never seen Zack Snyder's superman or superman in general she's watched Christopher reeve Brandon Routh now Henry cavill before going into superman 2025 that she wants to see birds of prey has nothing to do with this part of the dceu.shes not watching the dceu she's watching all superman movies.

Mark White

I don’t have Patreon on my telly Joe and I always watch the YT edits on my telly in the morning. I’m sure there probably is a way to put it on my telly?! But I’m not a tech man!

James M

IMO "Wonder Woman" is a great movie and the rest of this wave of DC movies is so-so. "Aquaman" was pretty good too. It really disappoints me because when I was young I loved the entire Justice League lineup.

John Sullivan

9 years. This movie is 9 yrs old 🤯

Cole Jennett

Pretty much where I stand with them as well

John Sullivan

Wonder Woman was the only Sniderverse movie I liked

Larry Dennis

Patreon suddenly blocked my account! I sorry for butting in, but I wanted to make sure that everyone checks the status of their Patreon subscription to PIB. For some reason (not by me) my membership was cancelled and PIB was blocked. I couldn't find an easy way to unblock PIB through Android but I was able to unblock it using a PC. I had to re-join, but it's worth it anyway. I just wanted to let Cassie and everyone at PIB to keep an eye out. Thanks.

Kevin The Honorary Canadian

Throw together a quick collaboration with Amber at AmberReacts. She just did a video for Wonder Woman.

Tyler Foster

Well, I'm suggesting she add to that because I like Birds of Prey. You don't have to agree with me, but regardless of what she's doing I'm going to suggest it.

baz0348

You can suggest anything you like but she's only watching superman movies not the dceu.

Cole Jennett

Hey baz, where do you get your certainty from? I expect her to watch Wonder Woman.

Chris Thom

You may've pressed a button on accident. I've been seeing a "block creator" option thing pop up every once in a while. I don't even know how that works. Block the thing you're paying to be subscribed to?

Chris Thom

Yeah that's wild. This last ten years has been a blur.

Chris Thom

Fun watching Cassie do the grappling hook pull and punch before Batman did. Lol. That was cute. Also them both fangirling over Wonder Woman.

Chris Thom

Had a feeling this one might have trouble.

Andrew Heller

Mind as well do justice league BUT DO THE SNYDER CUT can always break it up into part 1 and 2

Rlbkuma

For Justice League, you have to watch both versions. Original and Snyder Cut. Both are effectively completely different movies

baz0348

Carly said to cassie she should watch wonder woman whether she does or not is up to her nobody else it is her channel and since she started with christopher reeve she has said she's watching all superman movie's as she wants to see corenswets superman it's all she was intending on doing from day one and said so in a few of her videos.

Clarence Newman

You know what, guys? I'm not a fan of Marvel or the superhero genre in general, but reading some of the comments reminds of what it's like to really be a fan of something. For me it's The Beatles. I've been a fan since I was 7 and I have everything they've ever done - including £23k of vinyl! I know the buzz it gives me when I find something new for the collection and that's the vibe I'm getting here. I envy your enthusiasm for these films.

Clay F

I've never been a fan of superhero genre generally, w/some exceptions. My favorite Batman: 1. Nolan trilogy 2. The Batman (2022) 3. Batman (1966).

Clay F

Ditto. Notably, not directed by Snyder.

Clay F

+1 for Batman 1966

Philip Alan

First Wonder Woman, then the 4 hour cut! :)

Clarence Newman

My alarm goes off at 6:40, Flag, but I don't get up till 7. Normally, I'd doze the extra time, but I had to get up this morning so I was awake. Rather than do nothing, I had a browse.

Clarence Newman

+1 for Batman 1966. Campy fun, and in comparison to the Batmans she's seen, I think Cassie would enjoy it.

Chris Thom

I'm not that big of a fan of these kinds of movies anymore, but I really loved this reaction for some reason. Best one in a while.

Christian Becker

Yeah, I remember that one, Batman (1966), very well. I saw it for the first time on German national TV (ZDF). They had a gimmick back then: you could vote via phone on which movie they should show in the Saturday primetime slot. There were three options to choose from. I really wanted to see Batman back then, so I voted enthusiastically. My mom wasn’t very thrilled about it, the phone votes were not free of charge.

Clarence Newman

I bet Batman was hilarious in German, Christian: "Heiliger Herzfehler, Fledermausmann!"

crazyivan

Yes, one will only require a snack - the other will require a nap and a snack as it's a 4 hour movie.

crazyivan

Has anyone been experiencing issues with watching her full reactions? The last few reactions have shrunk the large screen and reverted back to the small screen and goes back to the beginning? I have to close my browser, clear out cache and login to Patreon and start again. Ford vs. Ferrari died 4 or 5 times the other day...10 minutes in, 19 minutes in, 42 minutes in and twice more after 90 minutes in. Thanks to the time stamp, it only takes 4 or 5 minutes to start watching again, but this is getting old. Yes, I've contacted her directly, but so far...crickets.

Clarence Newman

There have a been a few glitches on Patreon recently, Ivan - the page scrolling up to the top of the post when you comment, Load Replies not working sometimes. And this is another one. Easily rectifiable, fortunately. If you try to open on this page, it will happen the way you said. If you click on the main link for the post, it will take you to a separate page and you'll be able to go full screen from there.

Joe J

I really love Cassie's detour into these superhero films. A welcome break from the usual offerings.

Joe J

Do you really think she'll watch both versions?

Joe J

Length of the reaction is not a factor. Media Knights, Cinepals, and others have long reactions.

Joe J

Live a little Dave, Cassie's not the only game in town.

Chris Thom

Get the reaction vid on it's own page by clicking the title. You can also click the YouTube icon and that sends it back there to watch. That is where it will run most smoothly.

Chris Thom

Actually pretty insane how different they are. Considering they include so many of the same scenes. But yeah very different experiences.

Jwmakoto

Here's the thing about just bringing the fight out of the city, though. (in MoS that is, he notably does a much better job of it here) How do you do that when your opponent's literal stated goal is to make humans suffer and wipe them all out? If you fly away from the city, he just stays there and kills everyone. Superman was never really in control that entire fight, until the very end when he finally has Zod in a choke hold. I can absolutely understand people didn't like the death and destruction in a Superman movie. If we had Kryptonians appear in real life, that's what would happen though. Everyone isn't just going to magically be safe when you have beings this powerful interacting with our world. With so many other comic book movies taking place in more exaggerated versions of our reality, it's interesting to see a more serious take from the perspective of, "What would actually happen if...." There's room for both, Superman has had many, many iterations in comics over the years, and has killed before. That's not to say he *should*, but you can absolutely be a "true" fan and enjoy both the Snyder and Gunn (and Donner, and Singer, and so on) versions.

Larry Dennis

Thanks Chris! I will be more diligent the next time.

Chris Thom

True. And all this was just emblematic of the different kind of story it was telling. Where Superman isn't established and people are wondering what the hell should earth do with this alien, and looking side eye at all the destruction that came with him. Also I think it was setting the stage for him to possibly go bad for a while. Thought the dream sequence was teasing that.

Jwmakoto

Yeah, they made that destruction a central focus of this movie instead of just hand-waving it away. And look at all the questions and discussion a story like that can generate. It sticks with you when there are real stakes. The dream sequence(s) definitely were teasing that, so the other aspect is that this was all part of a larger arc that we never really get to see come to completion. I think if this had just been a "grounded" Superman trilogy ala the Nolan Batman trilogy (which seemed to be the plan initially) it would have been much easier to sell as just another type of story/take on the character. Instead, we got WB brass wanting to chase Marvel success and forcing a shared universe aspect. That's where I think the main mistake came. Ideally your shared universe is going to be the "core" versions of these characters, which is at odds with the story Snyder wanted to explore here. That's super jarring for a lot of people.

Clay F

As Chris said, watch on its own page in patreon, or watch in youtube. Youtube should work fine. Note that she receives hundreds of messages a day. You can also download the reaction as an mp4 file. I have used free ClipGrab for a year to do that. Click on youtube to see the full reaction in youtube, and then use ClipGrab (https://clipgrab.org/) to download the youtube video as mp4. Free, relatively easy to use, and no limit on quality. You have to download and install ClipGrab but that quick and easy to do.

Kevin O'Donnell

There is as another person said here there is room for different interpretations of comic book characters. I am so glad they watched the Ultimate edition and enjoyed it, sounds like at the end there up for watching Justice League, the Snyder Cut of course!!

Goofaman

You two really need to learn that when you talk to each other you shouldn’t turn to face each other cause you miss a lot of details when you do that. You’re right next to each other. You don’t have to look at each other when you’re talking.

Mike Lemon

You need to learn that when people talk there is more than verbal communication going on. You need to look at each other for that.

Mike Lemon

Apparently WB is pretty claim happy.

Chris Thom

I don't know if Carly can make it for four hours.

Chris Thom

The studio definitely wanted to do Batman and Superman together for a while. Think they had it planned back in 2007.

Clay F

I like the Phil Hartman SNL unfrozen caveman lawyer skits.

Clay F

Reacting to both Justice League movies would seem excessive. IMDb 6.0, RT 39%, RT Audience 67% - Justice League (2017) (2h) IMDb 7.9, RT 71%, RT Audience 92% - Justice League (2021) (4h)

Clay F

Cassie is plainly my No. 1 but she is not the only game in town. I rely on other reactors as a supplement. Amber seems kind of odd to me now. I watched her in 2021-22 with her husband (apparently now ex-husband) in a few music reaction videos.

Joe J

Clay - have you checked out the channel "Totally Whatever"? Two sisters, I'm really enjoying they're reactions.

Jwmakoto

Oh, that idea was kicking around for years, absolutely. The easter egg billboard in I Am Legend was great. Christoper Reeve even suggested he could cameo in Batman '89 and execs laughed it off, how mind-blowing would that have been. I think that also plays into the reception here honestly. People had been waiting decades to see this meetup happen, and if it didn't match up to their expectations... I get it. But hey, after all that time, now we're going to be getting two distinct universes/versions of this within a decade (as far as interconnected universes). Every version has had something enjoyable, I'm just glad we get to keep having more Superman stories.

Cole Jennett

Don’t worry about it Clay, it was never going to happen.

Tyler Hale

To explain the Lois thing, that was the Flash traveling back in time to warn Batman that he had to save Lois from the future where Superman goes bad. It was planned that Lois would be killed by Darkseid who then controls Superman

Stephen Dias

FYI, this is trivial: the Russian dude who works with Lex Luthor is a Batman villain known as KGBeast in the comics.

Steve Smith

Hey Cassie, did the final episode of Season 1 of GOT upset you so much that you're done with it? I hope not. I'm looking forward to sharing the rest with you.

Rlbkuma

I at least hope so. 2 completely different experiences, and both the results of 2 vastly different directors' visions.

René Ferland

Totally Whatever? Yes, I like them!

Clarence Newman

I enjoy their interactions. As long as they don’t go off on a tangent and ignore the film, it’s fine.

Clarence Newman

Just started watching this (30 minutes in before I had to do some pesky work). First of all, big thanks to Matt for the length of the edit. That's a really good chunk of content. Secondly, I loved C & C's reaction to the jumpscare in the crypt. Their faces when they realised it was a dream were a picture. Will get back to watching soon.

Clarence Newman

I've tried to leave and go watch other reactors, but after 5 steps, I collapse to the floor clutching my heart. I think Cassie's done that Five Finger Death Punch on me.

Clarence Newman

1:02.20 - While Batman is beating the squirt out of the bad guy's henchmen, Carly drops possibly the most insightful comment in the history of the reactorverse: "Are these guys really paid enough to stick around?" The answer, Carly, in literally thousands of action movies, would be a resounding "NO!"

Clarence Newman

Just finished watching. I think Ben Affleck was good as Batman, but I agree, the suit is ridiculous. I believe we peaked with Adam West in that regard. Still can't shake the feeling with Batman, though, that all you have to do to kill him is shoot him in the face. He's still only human under there. I'd love Cassie to watch Batman 1966 now. The difference in tone would tickle her pink.

Mark White

Well that was better than I remember. Or is just Cassie and Carly yet again improving a mediocre movie to a good watch with there great reactions? Or is it Matt with his superior editing skills? Maybe it’s a combination of them all. Thanks again ladies, I enjoyed that.

Mark White

Yep, Carly does come out with some classic comments 😂

Above Average Dave

Wait, this was just three years ago! Right!? RIGHT!?

Happy Hanukkah

Clarence, will that include the new Lennon/Ono material that's coming out?

Happy Hanukkah

1:08:45 "Maybe let Wonder Woman take the shot with the spear?" 😲 ❗❗❗ 57:50-58:01 Cassie wordlessly expressing most people's problem with "Martha."

crazyivan

Not happening on the other reactor channels I'm watching - just PIB. And there are enough Patreon members that some of that monthly $ can be used for someone to monitor the emails for issues (not comments).

Clarence Newman

Perfect, Hap. You could almost feel the man assessing his pay-to-risk ratio.

Steven Perez

While I am definitely not a fan of this film, I can heartily recommend the first WONDER WOMAN film (it's the best of the DCEU offerings), the first AQUAMAN film, and the first SHAZAM film. They are much less dour and depressing than either this or JUSTICE LEAGUE (either version, the Franken-film that Joss Whedon made or the monochromatic marathon that Zack Snyder's rapacious fans insisted would improve the DCEU). Hope you two get a chance to watch the newest iteration of SUPERMAN that just came out. It has a much better handle on the characters from the comics, and does so with the same heart one would expect from James Gunn, the man who made grown people cry over a talking raccoon. 👍

Joe J

Great reaction ladies. Looking forward to Justice League (Snyder cut)...and Wonder Woman.

Clay F

Yep, definitely made the mediocre movie better. I enjoyed their reaction.

Clay F

Unlikely the full reaction will be a two parter.

Clay F

I think highly likely she reacts to Wonder Woman (2017). No. 19 at popcorn requests.

Cole Jennett

I don’t see why you are trying to pass off like you know something with certainty when you obviously do not.

Clay F

I posted an image in Extra Butter Chat of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in her 'hot' outfit. Looking forward to your "Wonder Woman" (2017) reaction. Carly was positive on Wonder Woman (2017). As you may know, No. 19 at Popcorn Requests. Chris Pine does well. Gal Gadot is captivating. Plus, good story.

Clay F

Yep = "the first WONDER WOMAN film (it's the best of the DCEU offerings)."

Clay F

Batman 1966 is campy. I grew up on Adam West Batman.

Clay F

Watched her full reaction to GoT S2:E1-E2. Excellent.

Chris Thom

I think the idea was that Superman felt like he need to do it to prove himself to the people of earth.

Nicholas Vara

IF you watch Justice League (and its not a necessary watch) definitely do the Synder Cut and I would recommend viewing it in chapters like a series. Its way too long for a single sit through and its already divided in chapters.

Christian Becker

Yeah. It the german dubbing "enhances" the experience quite a bit.

Ani

If you plan to watch Justice League(I hope you do)... please make sure to watch only the Snyder Cut.

Chris Thom

Yeah they were definitely trying to shoehorn as much of Batman's cinematic success as they could into Superman. I didn't realize how much until later. But even Lex seems to be biting Joker's style a bit.

Richard Maurer

Yeah, the hired thugs thing doesn’t really make much sense. Henchmen who are in a cult, like the Children of Thanos in Avengers Infinity War, make a lot more sense. They risk their lives for the cause.

Richard Maurer

JL Snyder cut, while much better than the theatrical version, could have used some editing itself. It drags on a bit too long, imo.

Stephen Dias

Agreed. I love that he decided to break it up into chapters. It's convenient for taking a quick break.

LukeG84

I wholeheartedly disagree. Not only is it a must watch, it has to be watched it one hit the first time round. That’s how we DCEU fans watched it. I recommend Cassie & Carly handle the run time by making it a PIB Theatre reaction. It’ll be more comfortable in there, and they’ll get the theatre experience we didn’t.
