UPDATE: I don’t know why most of this post was GONE when I first posted it. I blame the world wide web. ALSO THANK YOU A MILLION for helping me reach 500k on YT . I don’t think it will ever feel “real” that more people than my entire city I grew up in watch movies with me! So thankful for you being here and your support and encouragement!

Hey guys so sorry, thought I posted this Wednesday!

Holy Batman, for the first time in my life January is going by fast! Hope you’re having a great week. If you’re in the areas the ice and snow is headed to, please stay safe!

This week on YT we have Justice League Snyder Cut (we’re doing it in two parts) , our PAF winner in TAOJJBTCRF, and GOT 3&4. PiB is really getting into the acronyms lately.

Don’t forget to enter Pick a Flick b t dub!

On YT we have the buddies, the cops, the PI’s, the LAPD, the bruisers, the bounty hunters and the convicts! Love those guys.

Did you see the little LIVE on YT where we drew some picks from Popcorn Requests! There are now 2 polls on YT to vote on and the winners will face slash off tomorrow (currently one is tied)!

Extra Butter LIVE will be next Tuesday the 27th. Should we chill? Watch along? chill watch?

Have a wonderful weekend. Mine will be centered around hockey and laundry!

Love you all!

Seems like the update didn’t upload complete.

LukeG84

Can’t wait for you both to see Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Thank you so much for skipping the 2016 mistake of a movie. A little frustrating to see you’re not watch it in one hit like we did, but I get it. But pretty please don’t keep us waiting for Part 2! 🙏🏻

Mark Vaderr

Congratulations to 500,000 Yotube subscribers, Cassie!

Geoff S.

Good, I thought it was just me.

Anthony Carlson

Will there be a part 2 of this update? 😂

Eric C.

Oh man, that pick a flick winner is phenomenal.

Mark White

Do we think Cassie started doing the update and then fell asleep half way through! 😂

Tyler Foster

Wow. The month is going by so fast this post ended before it was finished.

Michael Lynch

Luckily, I’m in Austin Texas so it might not be too bad here. Just cold. We will see.

MikeLL

I can’t wait for the update to complete! The suspense!!!

Clay F

I think Update complete as to the 3 reactions (not YT) this week: --Part 1: Justice League Snyder Cut --The Assassination of Jesse James --GoT S5 E3&4 Good week. I've never seen Justice League Snyder Cut and am curious. The Assassination of Jesse James gets good reviews. Always looking forward to GoT.

Old As Dirt Bert

Wait, wait - do we go on one o, two o, three o, then GO?

Charles Briggs

Finally my most Anticipated reaction from this channel has finally arrived and with Carly wich makes it extra special just a little history on this film cassie you might not be aware of this film Zack Snyder's Justice League cut was done because during the filming of Justice League back in 2017 Zack Snyder's daughter autumn committed suicide 😢 and Zack had to step away from the film to grieve his daughter and instead of WB being respectful and waiting for Zack to grieve and return to filming they brought in Joss Whedon and he and WB completely reshot 50% of the movie made it into a comedy and a complete travesty it was so bad Christopher Nolan who is Zack Snyder's friend saw the Joss Whedon cut of the film with Zacks wife Deborah Snyder and said it so horrible the Zack should never ever see it because it would break his heart and for years Zack Snyder's Fanbase begged and pleaded WB to release his cut and 2021 it finally released it and all it's glory so this is just brief backstory of Zack Snyder's Justice League AKA the snyder cut I can't wait for the reaction I know you Carly will love it ✌️

Nim

Congratulations on reaching 500k subscribers on YouTube 🎉🎉🎉

Phil Stubblefield

Congratulations on 500K YT subscribers, Cassie! The Popcorn Empire is thriving, and it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of people! 😊

Mark White

Cassie congrats on the 500k subs Jan 21st was 5 years of PiB on YouTube! So, double celebration! 🍾🥳 I think it’s a testament to Cassie hard work and the team why PiB is flourishing. But also the Patreon community plays an important role in the continued success, by making the community a fun escape for movie fans like me. It should be another great week ahead for both full reactions and I’m guessing buddy cop reactions on YT? I’m also curious as to the YT polls. Are we getting a reaction to “Paul” and “Spinal Tap”? Or will there be a Faceoff? Both would be great. Paul is a Cassie comedy for sure and Spinal tap will give an interesting reaction one way or another! 🤔😂 You are the best Cassie ❤️ Hope you all have a great weekend everyone.

Stuart Guthrie

Cassie, congratulations on your 500k subscribers. You really deserve it.

Clarence Newman

I know what's happened here, we've seen it before at The Poppies. While Cassie was writing her update, she popped a couple of those green jelly beans and is having a choking fit somewhere while Ben attempts a heimlich.

Michael West

Congratulations on reaching 500k!!! Great accomplishment and well deserved.

Canadianant

5 years and 500,000 subs . What a success story. What a journey. It's interesting to watch the early videos and how "green" you were in the language of film. Now you have put in your 10000+ hours and you are an old pro but best of all you have kept your warmth and empathy. You still deeply feel for the characters but you can handle almost anything in a movie or show. In a weird way that's still why it's so interesting to watch you watch something like game of thrones and that if we had literally just thrown you into that 5 years ago you wouldn't have made it past the first episodes. What makes those so great is that no one is safe and that the characters are not black and white, but almost everyone has shades of Gray. It's been a great ride and there are still many great movies and shows to go. To many more years!

Happy Hanukkah

"Justice League Snyder Cut (we’re doing it in two o" Fitting.

Darren Harrison

-31 Fahrenheit wind chill outside. Brrrrr…

Richard Maurer

YT ? Justice League? Assuming this was a mistake. Either that or the Patreon version is veeeeerrrrry exclusive.

bgb1975 (Brian)

Loved by (five) hundreds of thousands! I think that PiB needs to start having its own table at the next comicon. Or moviecon. Or something! Awesome!

John

Cassie, congratulations on reaching 500,000 subscribers! As someone who remembers the early days, I am very pleased that, while the depth and. breadth of your cinematic knowledge has grown, you still retain the wide-eyed innocence that endeared you to many of your fans, myself included.

Richard Maurer

This is now my favorite Update post. Truly a work of art.

John

Did I miss the full length JLSC reaction?

Dan M

January has been going by pretty fast for me as well, but it looks like Mother Nature is going to slow things down for a few days. We’re looking at a significant amount of snow accumulation over the weekend through much of the country. As long as everyone stays safe and warm, it will be a great time to read a good book, play some board games, make some yummy desserts, and cuddle up on the couch with some great PiB reactions, starting with Justice League. Also just wanted to congratulate you, Cassie, and Ben, and Carly, on reaching 500,000 subscribers on YouTube! What an amazing accomplishment! You’ve come along way from watching movies on your laptop propped up on a laundry basket. I’m am so happy that I have been here for a good part of that climb, and I’m excited to continue on with you until the next milestone is reached. Cheers to the PiB community! 🫶🥂🙌

Dan M

Yikes! That’s insane! Stay safe and stay warm.

Dan M

Well said, Mark

Mike Redford

Looking forward to the jesse james flick. I need to watch more westerns because when I do, they're usually a good time. Congratulations again on 500k subs Cassie! Couldn't happen to a kinder creator/person 👍

Dan M

Squirrel! 🐿️

Happy Hanukkah

"we’re doing it in two o." As in: 😲😲

Collar City Guy

Cassie congratulations on 500,000 YouTube subscribers!! 🎉🤩🎊 Well done!

David Bockly

Is it just me or does the update cut off at oh for everyone? Congrats Cassie on 500,000 subs

Richard Maurer

It’s everyone. I believe Cassie was kidnapped by aliens at that point - but it’s just a theory.

Katie Sivak

Stay safe Cassie Please watch Sweet November and Hope Floats for Valentine Day Show recommendations Teen Wolf The Killing Pesky Blinders Maybe watch F1, The Maze Runner

David Bockly

Thanks Richard, I'm a glass is half full sort of guy, and never sure if it's me my phone or my app! But now I know!

Shehab Dawoud

The great David Lynch passed away over a year ago, and we still haven’t had a single of his films on here. I think that needs to change. You can’t have a reaction channel and not watch the work of one the iconic greats. Either a David Lynch poll or an executive decision on one of his films. Blue Velvet or Mulholland Drive would be my choices.

Above Average Dave

Looks like the ice storm cut power on Cassie's keyboard. That, or she had to switch full power to the shields because the HOA Karen was trying to get into her yard 🤣

Larry Darrell

First Season of Twin Peaks would be awesome. Don’t think I’ve seen anyone react to that.

Kristin

Twin Peaks is great up to the point where the main storyline is concluded. Everything after that is meh.

Shehab Dawoud

There are some reactions on YT. It does fall off in S2. The two films I mentioned or The Elephant Man, although it’s probably the least Lynchian in terms of style and theme, would be the best choices.

Larry Darrell

When I saw The Assassination of Jesse James win, I was super excited. I haven’t seen it since around the time it came out, and I’ve been really wanting to watch it again lately. Even pulled it out of my collection so I’d see it. I watched it this past weekend for myself and it was Fantastic, but I think I figured out why I never revisited the film for so long. It’s a darker version of Jesse James. If you love the Legend of Jesse James, this film ain’t that… and I do love the Legend.

Larry Darrell

Yeah, just the First Season… 8 episodes and a movie, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992), if she’s interested.

MertzRocks

Those blinders sure are pesky... 😏

Mark White

Maybe Cassie could do a laundry basket reaction for old times sake😆 Well said Dan, it sure has been a great climb!

Kal Zakath

Glad to see Justice League here in the hope that since it is a with Carly watch that means that you're finally feeling better? (crossing fingers!) However, torn between watching it (as I do most things) when it first comes out or holding off and watching both parts together.

Dan M

Yes! A retro reaction.

Dan M

Yes to The Maze Runner!

Dan M

I’d say it right up your alley.

Joe J

Haha, looks like Cassie's been hitting the eggnog with some gusto.

Joe J

Spinal Tap will be a complete head-scratcher for Cassie. That type of humor, she won't "get it" at all.

Richard Maurer

Posted in the early morning hours - that tells you something.

Mark White

I was thinking the same Joe. Has Cassie ever seen a mockumentary?

Mark White

Couldn’t agree more. Well said. It would be interesting to know just how many hours of movies Cassie has reacted to.

Joe J

One word keeps popping into my head Cassie.....Pollception!!!

Gray

Same Joe she's gotten slated enough in the Rush Hour comments for not finding Tucker hilarious from the start, I too have resevations on whether Spinal Tap will land at all.

Gray

Congrats on the 500k subscribers and 5 years since you started the channel, I wonder if we'll get that Shawkshank watch with Carly to go full circle. It'll be hard to top last week but i'm looking forward to Jesse James and GoT as always, might wait for YT for Justice.

Blake Evans

Congratulations on 500k! Gonna be another good week. Esp since I’ll probably be snowed in. Wasn’t the biggest fan of ZSJL, though I wish he would’ve gotten to finish his vision. Assassination of Jesse James is such a hidden gem for me. Wonderful performances and it’s like watching a novel, in the best sense of the word. Same with Train Dreams if anyone wants to take a gander.

Robert da Spruce

Congrats on 500K!!! 🥳👏🎉 That’s awesome! Well deserved!

Clay F

+1 for Peaky Blinders +1 for The Killing I loved both TV shows (series).

Clay F

No. She has been saying all along, she would do the JLSC reaction in 2 parts.

Ani

Congrats on 500k... No one deserves it more! Super excited that Snyder Cut reaction is coming this week. A great bonus that it's with Carly!

kaiielle

Congratulations on 500k! Averaging 100k subscribers (technically more than that since people do unsubscribe) every single year is a huge achievement! 🎉

Clay F

The 4 candidates that will be in the YT face-off poll: IMDb 8.3, RT 98%, RT Audience 94% = "Dr. Strangelove" (1964) [Kubrick] IMDb 7.9, RT 98%, RT Audience 92% = "This is Spinal Tap" (1984) [Rob Reiner] IMDb 7.9, RT 98%, RT Audience 91% = "A Fistful of Dollars" (1964) IMDb 6.9, RT 70%, RT Audience 62% = "Paul" (2011)

Clay F

The 4 candidates in the face-off poll on YT will be top 2 from each original poll: --Paul (2011) – 37% --Dr. Strangelove (1964) – 30% --A Fistful of Dollars (1964) – 36% --Spinal Tap (1984) – 36% The top 2 from each original poll are clear. No close 3rd.

Clarence Newman

If Carly's joining you for Justice League, does that mean you're finally well again? Or will she be wearing a hazmat?

Popcorn In Bed

finally 🙏 still don’t feel 100, but definitely better and not contagious

Just Plain Bob

Anyone wanna take odds that Cassie will wonder openly during the Assassination of Jesse James reaction whether he’s a real person and it’s a true story?

Larry Darrell

Why is “www” short for “World Wide Web,” when “www” has more syllables? :-)

Larry Darrell

Wouldn’t be surprised. Take 10 to 1 ;-)

Above Average Dave

TWIN PEAKS season 1 and half of season 2 are peak Lynch. After then ended the initial storyline, Lynch himself admitted 'we ran out of story.' The audience could tell and the rest quickly declined. I rewatched the whole series during the pandemic - my Wife had never seen it and loved it - and the rest after 1.5 was better than remembered. I think they'd set the bar so high with the first story that it was hard to stay at that level.

YodatheHobbit

That might be the first time and acronym is harder to remember than the movie name.

Rick Williams

5 years to 500,000. So 5 more years to 1,000,000. Hopefully you can get there in under 5.

bgb1975 (Brian)

Perfect excuse to hibernate inside in front of the fireplace with some PiB movies!

keoma songs

Is there a particular reason the polls are on YouTube and not Patreon? Will all or some future polls be on YouTube? I have to admit, I prefer to vote here on Patreon.

Joe J

Yeah, she has to provide a few perks to those 500k subscribers. She also has YT polls when she does a LIVE.

keoma songs

Guess I never realized the YT Lives with polls had the polls on YT despite being a member all this time. Must have just slipped past me.

Joe J

I'm hoping either Paul or Dr. Strangelove wins. Spinal Tap would be a snoozer for Cassie IMO. Can't underestimate the power of Mr. Eastwood in any poll.

Joe J

At 2,000,000 I think she gets an all expense paid world cruise with Keanu Reeves. 😆

bgb1975 (Brian)

I missed it, too. Not a fan of youtube generally. So where do we go to vote on the YT poll? I'm signed in and viewing her vid, but I don't see the poll anywhere.

Mark White

I was wondering if Carly might just go for the full Darth Vader.

Chris Thom

250k and that's just subscribers. Literally millions of people around the world have seen one of your videos. That's WILD. And awesome. Congratulations! Personally looking forward to Justice League.

Gray

it's on the posts part think a new poll will go up soon

Mark White

So is this poll happening later tonight?

bgb1975 (Brian)

Never mind....found it, but past the deadline..... rrrrrrr

Jay Jay Reyes

Cassie Cassie Cassie. Thank you for finishing Zack Snyder's Trilogy . I love you so much, as a big sister. That big sister love. You are awesome! Can't wait to enjoy the greatest DC Comic movie of ALL TIME!!!!!!!!! 😁

Clay F

It was a YT Live poll that gave us Howard the Duck.

Stick Figure Studios

Honestly, I'm fine with any of these (except for PAUL; I did not like that movie), but my order of preference would be DR. STRANGELOVE, THIS IS SPINAL TAP and FISTFUL OF DOLLARS.

Mike Lemon

"Can't wait to enjoy the greatest DC Comic movie of ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!" I don't think she mentioned watching Under the Red Hood or Emerald Knights or Apocalypse or The Flashpoint Paradox...

Clay F

Mark -- I don't know the timing. I don't see the face-off poll posted yet. https://www.youtube.com/@PopcornInBed/posts Joe -- There are 3 iconic movies and Paul. I don't think Cassie would be enthralled by any of the 4 but who knows. I would be ok w/Paul winning (especially because a big request for Mark), but on the other hand, I may vote for one of the 3 iconic movies that has best chance to beat Paul. A nice aspect of a posted YT poll is you vote to see the current results and then can CHANGE your vote. By contrast, in a YT Live poll, you vote to see the current results but then CAN'T CHANGE your vote. Cassie doesn't like dusty old westerns but Clint Eastwood has grown on her. See her reaction to The Outlaw Josey Wales. I like A Fistful of Dollars (1964) better than The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Stick -- I would be fine with DR. STRANGELOVE, THIS IS SPINAL TAP, or FISTFUL OF DOLLARS winning.

Mike Lemon

Weird. For me it is onomatopoeia.

Jay Jay Reyes

Those are animations. Sorry. Live action movie of all time.

Mike Lemon

Yeah, let's just reject over 2/3 of DC's movies for...reasons???

Jay Jay Reyes

What Supergirl. superman IV. Superman III, Aquaman, The Flash? Nolan trilogy are great, this is the best of all time in my eyes.

Joe J

Never know what's coming out of those LIVE pillow pulls, and what them tubers are gonna get a hankering for, lol. If I remember, "Earth Girls are Easy" won that last LIVE poll.

Rick Williams

Cassie would lose it. She would love that

K, Zachary

Dear The Popcorn In Bed Family and to all their distinguished viewers, First off Congratulations on 5k. We know you have been sick for a while. We have been praying for your family at morning and evening prayers. Eva sometimes has to remind me. So when we were in Utah a couple weeks I left a awesome review for a place we paid at which was Cinnaholic and they replied back. https://photos.app.goo.gl/zBv31ndG7MJSnCnMA Both Eva ( my gf ) had big smiles on our face when they replied back. So we had to share. ( It's a video). We recommend this place it was so good. The people in Utah were so amazing to us. Everyone was super cool and nice I recommend everyone to visit there. Skiing is not for everyone. I still hurt. About Last Week: Awesome week we had a blast all watching all 4 posts were 100% awesome. The Week Ahead Zack Snyder Trilogy which we absolutely loved. Big shout out to the people who love it a lot more then us which judging by the comments. We get it we are super into The new GOT spinoffs and The Pitt (that's Eva show.) She watches every episode at least twice. My friends and I Cassie's Canadian sister @katwatcheshorrormovies. Just saying people in this forum are amazing. Song of the week. Given the state of our country is in right this seems perfect Here is Buffalo Springfield, For What's It's Worth: https://youtu.be/80_39eAx3z8?si=3hhuW3cF_kBXXL6q

FranciscoGios

First off Congrats for accomplishing the 500k YT subscribers, with those numbers you know you are doing something right for the movie lovers! And second you are not the only one that feels that January is going in a flash. I will go vote now.

Mike Lemon

There are about 90 animated movies (at least that is how many I have but that is including some shorts) and there are 41 live action "super hero" movies (42, the list I'm looking at left off The Watchmen).

Larry Darrell

@AADave - It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, and I checked before my initial comment, and was surprised that the first season was only 8 episodes. I think it’s time for me to rewatch it ALL.

Richard Maurer

Now she went and ruined it by “fixing” it. Sad.

Chris Thom

Never knew that Zack was so involved in getting the cut funded and done. Thought it was more of a fan campaign kind of thing that forced the studio's hand. Wouldn't think he would want to step on Joss' toes.

Chris Thom

Oh that would be awesome to see footage of PIB at San Diego. Ben would probably have to be officially famous at that point though.

Chris Thom

I have to do everything binge-mode at this point. Netflix spoiled us.

Chris Thom

The thing I like about newer vids is how knowledgeable she is in genre, directors, actors, tropes, etc. But you're right, she never lost that feeling for the characters and plots, which is nice. Though I do think she can intellectualize horror more now than she could before.

Chris Thom

There's an incredible vid on YouTube that explains the whole series, including Return. It's pretty amazing with all the analysis. Five hours long, I think. Probably shouldn't have watched it before finishing all the episodes, but it was so good I couldn't stop.

Brian McGovern

Congrats on half a million subscribers

Charles Briggs

I meant to say his Fanbase (which includes me) begged and pleaded for WB to release his cut not zack directly my bad 🤷‍♂️

Katie Sivak

Can you and Carly please react to SOUTHPAW a really underrated movie with Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams especially because you guys liked Cinderella Man and Creed

Byrd N. Hand

"The Straight Story" is Lynch's most un-Lynchian film, BTW... and, along with "The Elephant Man," probably the only ones Cassie would actually like. 🤨 For the record, I still consider "Mulholland Drive" the best film of the 21st century so far. Larry -- I believe James Vs Cinema is currently reacting to Twin Peaks. Also, Popcorn Roulett's Coby Connell has reacted to the first season so far on her solo channel (The Coby Show), and has said she intends to eventually do the rest of it.

Shehab Dawoud

You’re right. The Straight Story is so un-Lynchian that I constantly forget that it’s him! Starting off with one of those two would at least make sure that she’s not put off by him for the future. On the other hand, if she just watches those two and nothing else, she won’t get the true Lynch experience.

JohnnyUtah

500k? I smell a million by years end!

Richard Maurer

The finalist poll to the 2 previous YouTube polls is up on YT.

Chris Thom

I wonder if you wrote in text "have you seen the movie TAOJJBTCRF?" how long it would take the average movie fan to figure out what you were talking about.

Joe J

17k votes so far. Pretty obvious Clint was always going to win.

Joe J

Classic 50's sci-fi week Cassie? Also, I would be remiss to not remind you again about "Midnight Mass" (2021). Just (7) episodes. You did say you wanted to watch some horror content outside of October, right?

Clay F

+1 for "Midnight Mass" (2021)

Joe J

Seems we need some new polls, eh?

Richard Maurer

We need something to liven things up here. I’ve been mostly bored since October ended.

Joe J

Good thing I have other reactors too watch who are hitting movies more to my liking.

David

top 5 new movies are hamnet the housemaid marty supreme mercy the history of sound fantastic m and Amazing films

Dean Holt

Tbh, Snyder JL doesn’t even get close to Nolan’s Dark Night Trilogy imo. Also personally I wouldn’t even put it in my top 5 from the DCEU.

David 492

Definitely a Cassie and Carly Movie! -- Kevin Costner, Chadwick Boseman and Jennifer Garner plus directed by Ivan Reitman. A Must Watch Movie **2014 Draft Day** before the 2026 NFL Draft this April. I'm not a sports fan but this movie is one my top picks of all time.
