Wes

Has Cassie’s watch ended?!

JohnnyUtah

We are not ok... the north remembers.

Eve Griffin

I’ve been bracing for this one for you Cassie. As we say though. Keep going, we promise 🩷

Edgar Gonzalez

You know me Cassie, im always starving for your GOT reactions! 🗡⚔️🐉🛡 Happy Valentines Day Fam! ❤️

Samuel Champ

I've been waiting with extreme apprehension on this one. 😬

Obie Brown

I NEVER CLICKED ON A LINK SO FAST IN MY LIFE!....lol

Edgar Gonzalez

I knew this one was going to hurt, I felt the same way Cassie felt... I was PISSED! 😤😠😡🤬

Obie Brown

Prayer circle for Cassie and her beloved Jon Snow!

TechJJ

Oh boy...

Michael West

Oh my!😢. Of all the shocking things in this show, the scene with Shireen is probably the most heart wrenching. It’s hard, but keep going for Sansa, for Arya, for Bran and for Rickon.

John Neiberger

Oh, boy. Here we go. I've been having a little anxiety about Cassie watching these two episodes.

Ike

I think these two episodes are partly - PARTLY - why reactions became a thing. And I remember quitting - verbally cursed everyone involved in this series. My dog patiently sat beside me until my tirade was over and offered to give me walk. Then I stayed up and finished 4 or 5 more episodes and went to bed exhausted. I cannot wait to see your reaction. Unbelievably, the series keeps getting better.

PianoDean

I’m entertaining the South Carolina drunks at the moment, I know what I’m watching when I get home. We all knew this was coming. The Shireen scene destroys me every single time 😭🤬

Lukas

She was good and kind :-(

Connor W

For the watch... this is the point the books and show diverge as the end of episode 10 is the end of the last book that has been released as of now. Books fans are still waiting for the next book since 2011.

Bill Maurer

We should load that YouTube when this is all said and done

Dan W

she should not watch this alone lol

Tyler Lathrop

I know i'm probably in the minority but i love season 6. Might be my favorite. So excited for more!

Nick Skelton

Going to need the first few season 6 reactions even quicker, after this.

Patrick

I can remember jumping up from my chair and SCREAMING... "F THIS SHOW" and immediately turning the TV off and going outside to my garage haha. It was probably 3 days later, when I decided after 5 seasons to go ahead and finish 6,7,8 🤣

Caomhan84

Season 6 is still quite good. It's not until season 7 that the show falls off, IMO. We all know what's coming, and the reactions to season 6 will be great. I predict that she will even like parts of season 7. Season 8, whenever we get there.... That's when it's all up in the air. 😂

MrKsummer7

We should have bought Cassie a therapy dog before she watched these episodes.

DavidJPL

* THIS * is how & when I first got into Game of Thrones. After this S5 Finale on June 14, 2015 - People had to wait TEN MONTHS until the S6 Premier. During this entire time, the Internet and TV viewing world were obsessed; " ... Jon Snow !!! " :) I didn't even have HBO, but signed up to watch all 5 Seasons before Season 6 started on April 24, 2016. And off we went...! And yep, this show is generally regarded as one of the main reasons that "Internet Reaction" videos exist. Later in Season 8 (I think) you can find a Chicago Bar that posted their Watch Parties!

Caomhan84

Cassie. This is the moment that I've been dreading since the end of season 3. The hard part is we can't say anything, other than....keep watching. I know it's hard. Just....keep going.

aarswft

Book Stannis would never, for the record.

Milton Reduxed

All the weeks reactions up by Saturday!? I like the new PiB grindset 💪

Kristin

Cassie, I wish you hadn't watched this show. It's compelling and tempting, but it's not good for the soul.

Kevin Farrell

This show sure does love to kick you when you're down. Thanks for persevering, Cassie!

Shreyas

This episode was unbelievable for all who watched. My advice is take a break, watch the happiest movies and shows you can find and please come back when you’re ready. I promise you 1000% this show will pay off in so many ways you don’t know yet.

DavidJPL

I *LOVE* Seasons 6 and 7 too.

Jareedy

this trust us it will be well worth it to keep going, some of the best moments of the show are still yet to come

DavidJPL

I believe so too. The "Watercooler Talk" and Internet reactions were crazy for the 10 months between 2015 and the Season 6 premier in Spring 2016.

DavidJPL

Definitely. The lowest-lows of this harsh show just make the highest-highs all the more satisfying!

My_Cousin_Mose

If she takes a break she isn't coming back lol.

Eve Griffin

Oh stop. It’s entertainment.

Shreyas

I really hope she does. I will say this though. This show got her to say the F word in its full and true form. I never thought that would happen. It’s honestly very weird to hear her truly cuss.

fargoboyle .

This reaction kind of needs the silent clock ending of 24 when a major character dies.

Sonny

Stay gold, Cassie

keoma songs

Sense & Sensibility will be a good pick me up. It's romantic, it's funny, it's sweet. There's poetry and horses and a pianoforte and it's lovely.

Oliver Higgs

Cassie please know that we were all DREADING this for you. At the same time, we all know that you need to keep watching. You just have to have faith that the best moments are yet to come - promise. You will NOT regret continuing to S6 and beyond.

MGCR

A couple of things: 1. Stannis is not the kind of man who will confess to anyone, let alone a complete stranger. 2. The word is "DRACARYS", it means "dragon fire". 3. No one is safe in this show, no matter their age.

SEAN ƴü KAY

Here is to hoping she doesn't give up on the show and starts season 6 immediately.... **GULP**

Night King01

Shireens death never made sense. Like why is she there to begin with.

Stephen Knox

The Cassie from the early days would have folded long ago. She's got this.

Night King01

Tbf it started diverging significantly at the beginning of the season as well. I mean for one mance isnt dead in the book and neither is stannis.

Walter

Yeah, these were always going to be a pair of rough episodes.

Tara ✨💫

Cassie, you must continue with S6. I promise, there are things to look forward to.

Choof

For various reasons we need season 6 reactions to be the first of next week, i dont think my increasingly aged heart can take any longer of a wait haha

Brian Smith

you must keep going trust us

Kristin

Shock value.

mitchhamilton64

bro, why tf are you spoiling that?! tf is wrong with some people?!

mitchhamilton64

cassie, careful reading on, people are spoiling things. ill leave with just continue on, the journey is almost over

Steve Smith

We had to wait a year for season six, so you'll be fine waiting a week.

John Neiberger

Ugh. I've seen this many time and knew how it was going to go, but Cassie's reaction still made me tear up. These episodes are rough, but Cassie, please trust us. Keep going. It's worth it.

Kit Taylor

I can't watch these until I know she continues. Let the pleasure delaying begin.

Philip Alan

Of course it's entertainment for her.

Brian McGovern

To think that IF George RR Martin ever finishes the books, he was going to kill off a lot more than they do in the show. It is obviously not good for Cassie to have seen that. I mean it is the first time we have ever heard her curse. It will be disappointing if she does not finish the series, but I think some of us would understand and would not blame her if she was not to finish.

Wes

OMG. Did Cassie swear?!?!?!?!?! Is that a first?!?!?!

Jareedy

If she actually quits someone’s gonna have to spoil her we need to keep this going

Philip Alan

Wow! Jon Snow got her to say the F word. I feel you, Cassie. You must continue.

Augustine Lee

DID WE GET OUR FIRST REAL DEAL OFFICIAL F-BOMB FROM SWEET CASSIE?!?!?! I THINK SO......................... OMG WE FEEL YOUR PAIN CASSIE! DEAD IS DEAD AFTER ALL

Choof

I know we did, I was there bud

Andres Gaytan

Stay with us Cassie!!! Your almost done. There's plenty of Starks still left to root for Sansa, Arya, Bran, Rickon. Don't forget all the other character groups too, Daenerys, Ser jorah, Tyrion, Greyworm, Missendei, Brienne, Podrick. Make the eight! Make the eight! Make the eight!

MGCR

It was not because of pride that they killed him. It was because he let their enemies that they've been fighting for centuries past the Wall.

Obie Brown

Cassie, just remember we had to wait a YEAR for the next season, you are just a mouse click away. AND season 5 is where the books end, so NO ONE knew what was gonna happen next. I will just say, season 6 is a highlight. Thats all I will say. Power on.

Augustine Lee

MODS please delete this comment thread for spolers. this could ruin the entire experience for everyone. people who spoil in the comments need to be held to account. please do something. anyone

Obie Brown

This season was so packed, Cassie didn't notice that Bran was MIA for the whole season, lol

Philip Alan

I think we should temper the Anticipation Spoilers here. I know she probably doesn't read the comments, but there are people who haven't seen the next couple of seasons. And those people DO come into the comment section.

mattosh79

How many times has GOT brought Cassie to the verge of throwing an f bomb.

Obie Brown

I heard that too, it took Jon Snow to bite the big one for Cass to let one slip!

mitchhamilton64

you spoiled, so quit with this fake comment of yours. and youre right, nothing with than someone spoiling someones reaction, with is what you did. you dont need to like your own comment, it still doesnt give you any validation in being trash

Obie Brown

I am losing hope on the books getting finished, maybe Winds, but the final book, no way.,

Choof

Dude, you know damn well what you spoiled, don't try and play coy with intent or wording

mitchhamilton64

get off your high horse, you know exactly what you did. you said it yourself, you have selfish intentions which is exactly why your comment should be deleted

Obie Brown

Same, the books ended with Jon bleeding in the snow, Dany in the Wild, and Stannis did not even attack Winterfell yet....its been SO long.

MacGuffinStuff

Oh shit, here we go, how is Cassie going to react to this season finale 😬😳???

Samuel Champ

"There's good in this world, and its worth fighting for" Samwise Gamgee.

Obie Brown

In a following interview the showrunners said that George told them Shireen would be burned, so it comes from the big guy himself.

Obie Brown

I say power on, rip the bandaid off /get back on the horse!

Thomas Clancy

I’m so sorry Cassie. I absolutely can’t wait for next weeks episode.

Philip Alan

Verge? Not sure. But she threw one high in the air today and I caught it with similar sentiment. And don't forget, season one of GOT, we got the double middle finger from Cassie. And before everyone chimes in and says this show is making Cassie do these things. I think not. That's her. And that's fine. She can be innocent for the most part in regards to her persona here on the channel, but I knew years ago, Cassie throws out them curse words. And yes, I cheered when she let one fly today. Because I felt the same way after this finale.

Eve Griffin

Suggestion is to do the next 2 fast! You’ve got this Cassie !!!! That’s why people love thrones. No show will take you through the highs and lows so intensely! Highs to come-you’ve got this!!!

Joseph Zavagno

Cassie real sob crying over Jon, shes a true Northerner. The North remembers.

Tyler Lathrop

If the moderators feel like our comments are spoilers then they can delete them. I’ve seen much much worse

Ignis Rændl

***spoilers*** the idea of sacrificing your own daughter/kin to further your agenda has its role to play. as does Brienne's sword... 😈

aarswft

The North only remembers in the books. They do absolutely nothing in the show.

Jay

Whoa whoa whoa, I'm certain that was that an actual "f__k" from Cassie at 1:55:56. These episodes do put you through the ringer but I would never have predicted that:)

Adam Simoneau

In a way, it's doubly impressive that she's able to power through the show, because she's miserable when good guys get bumped off, and she can't properly delight in watching the show's baddies get their comeuppance.

Oisin Clissmann

If Ser Allister was in charge of the keep at the moment of having to open the gates, and he and so many others hated Jon, and disagreed with his decision to help the Wildlings, why not just not let him through? They would have all died North of the wall probably. Can anyone explain? I see a lot of inconsistency in Thorn's character, at times he backed Jon but ultimately he betrayed him.

Adam Simoneau

I can see her taking a week off.

Night King01

Im pretty sure the way he is going to do it is gonna have a better execution than what we got here. No pun intended.

Jason Dolan

I hope someone hugged her after this

MGCR

Because he was biding his time figuring out a plan.

Astraeos

Okay I haven't watched it yet, but I hope there wasn't talk of stopping. I know she said several times if anything happened to him... Cassie, you definitely have to keep going! We're all in it together, to the very, very end! Your watch is not over yet! Defo take a week extra if you need, to watch some extra fun and fluffy stuff. Okay, time for the reaction

Bill Maurer

Same here ... I think it was about time as well

JohnnyUtah

We must push forward...

Astraeos

Season 6 is my favorite, all together. Other than Hardhome, 6x10 might just be the episode of the show for me. The Winds of Winter

Jay

Nah, I think you'll be able to say you loved it once it's over:)

Clay F

She has found the show highly entertaining. Granted, there are tough episodes, but she has repeatedly said she "loves" the show. Jon Snow (her favorite and who she is most invested/attached) being repeatedly stabbed in E10 is the "worst" episode.

Astraeos

I'm sorta in the same boat. There has to be a season 6. Cassie you can't stop on us! We were all in the same spot that you were, AND, we had a whole year that we had to sit and stew on it. Yet we all came back and continued our watch. Cassie, your watch has not ended yet!

Obie Brown

This show has brought out Dark Cassie

Astraeos

This times one million, bajillion, percent.

Oisin Clissmann

She did say "I'm done!" but didn't she also say that after Red Wedding? I'm 100% sure she will continue though, can't stop now.

Astraeos

Make sure to never read Romeo and Juliet either, it's far too dark

Obie Brown

Season 6 will be packed with quality reactions, for SURE

Jareedy

Better than quitting but she she has been banging these out and it would be hard to see her quit now

Astraeos

Her watch has just begun! And so we all said

Obie Brown

The year wait was rough, the TWO year wait for season 8 was pure torture.

Jareedy

This is one of the greatest shows of all time undisputed

Brent Petty

Cassie, this is your reminder that Theon killed John Wick's dog.

Obie Brown

Mods are alseep apparently.

Astraeos

Pretty sure we've already had two I'm done's possibly. I'd have to rewatch. 1x09 and 3x09

Jay

Hot take - Cassie is very good at reacting to films and TV shows.

Clay F

The book is a different reality. As you would agree, the show is an adaptation, not a duplication. I like the way the show writers adapted the source material for TV. GoT the TV show is highly entertaining.

Clay F

Tough episodes. I feel for you.

Shreyas

I can’t help feel that “WHAT THE F***K IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL” is directed at us 😂😂😂

Jay

It's like I've heard Elmo from Sesame Street say f__k, it's just not right 😂😂

Brian McGovern

She did say last week that "if anything happens to Jon Snow, I will stop watching". I am hoping that was just said in the heat of the moment, but will not blame her for stopping. It will be disappointing, but to have her swear like that you know it really hurt her.

Walter

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA HAHAHAHAHAAAA!

Brian McGovern

Quite a few wins for the good guys in Season 6. I am trying to think, there are no more of these types of episodes that will hurt her from here on out save 1 or 2.

dansoddity

you HAVE TO do the next 2 fast for your own sake, trust

Walter

...that's what I thought she said...

mitchhamilton64

for anyone curious, cassie drops the F bomb at 1:55:55 for those who are SICK and want to hear a poor woman, pouring her soul out, show some vulnerability by throwing out a word she doesnt usually say. shame on you. shame on all of you! i spit on you all! dont forget to like this comment! 😀

MannyDC

Cass this is Manny ur Accountant 😉 i know it hurts, take some time trust me it gets better 💪🏾

ScrubbleDub

Did Cassie drop an f bomb? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

David Cansler

Sorry but Cersei deserved every bit of that walk of atonement 😁

Ike

“That’s the last straw” “I’m done!” “Why keep going?” “What’s the point?” “There is no point in continuing” “He was my favorite.” Everyone here has heard it all before. Please keep going - don’t bring me this far and... Micky Goldmill is standing next to me eating grapes and spitting seeds on my floor, wondering what you’re going to do next. 😳😁

Cody Nelson

I understand the hurt and despair, but all I can say is to add my voice to the chorus of comments… Keep going. The show is not over yet. Never give in to despair while there’s still time left on the clock.

Rick Williams

Abandon all hope. There is nothing left to do but fight.

René Ferland

Honest truth Cassie: despite Jon Snow being gone, Season 6 is my favorite season of the entire show. Please give it a chance! :-)

Brent Petty

GoT isn't a show you love or enjoy. It's one you ENDURE.

Brent Petty

"Ernest Hemingway once wrote 'The world is a fine place, and worth fighting for.' I agree with the second part." - Morgan Freeman in Se7en

DAVID COSTELLO

I wonder if she'll ever recognize the tall septa as Rebecca from Ted Lasso

Ian A

I'm so impressed with Cassie. I've watched this series 2 times now and I'm still having a hard time with names and keeping track of who people are. Season 6 is great like others said imo.

Claude Edwards

While GoT reactors have it good because they don't have to wait a year between each season, they do miss out on all things that made watching the show in real time tolerable and even fun, the commiserating over the bad times, the discussions & predictions about what will happen next, the hyping each other up as the next season approaches AND celebrating the wins when they do happen.

David Collins

Well that went about like I expected.

David Collins

I'd have been part of the shame brigade for sure. I'd probably have worn clothes and not been shaking my money maker but I'd have been shouting shame with the rest of them.

Shahin Amir

It took Jon Snow getting merked for Cassie to finally break completely and swear. It took a lot, but it finally happened. I have mixed feelings about this, lol.

Philip Alan

On a side note, they did a pretty decent job with the Deep Fake (her real face on another person's body) for Lena Headey as she shamed walked through the village. Not bad for a TV show.

Kyle K

“We need that for neck stabbing” 😅

Dan Moll

exactly. I had no sympathy for her whatsoever

Zach

Please Cassie dont stop watching the show. there are 3 seasons left.. and its gonna get awesome! there are ALOT of heroes left to root for!!! Aria, Sansa, Bran, Rickon, Samwell and Gilly. Everyone in Maureen. Jons sworn brothers(closest allies) and Sir Davos. There is so much S tier content remaining!

Astraeos

For the watch. (I've waited 5 long seasons for these posts lol)

Astraeos

One of the first signs unfortunately. This is a friendly reminder to everyone that they should read the books

Astraeos

Don't forget the F Olly memes Honestly those were like peak internet times, between season 5 and 6.

Shad Kanyak

It was years later before I found out the woman with the bell saying "shame" was Hannah Waddingham, who later played Ted Lasso's boss.

Gary

Did anyone notice i hope he doesnt fight for his brother anymore and cut that part? not sure

Daniel J Fort

After episode ten imagine waiting a year I started watching GOT the end of season six was on episode two got caught up in a month had to wait in agony for episodes 8,9,10 and season 7 and 8 keep going

Brian Sheely

For me, some of the best parts of the series are the times when characters you like finally get revenge against people you've hated for so long. Watching Arya butcher Meryn Trant isn't the best one, but it's up there.

Daniel J Fort

Yea I listened 3 timea she definitely dropped it finally and it’s worthy of it after episode 5-10. She probably drops it a lot more than we think when she is alone and emotional.

Gray

well this would be the moment most would expect it to happen :(

Gray

Justified F Bomb, these last two eps were especially brutal what with Meryn Trants horribleness and Shireens heartbreaking death and then to top it off with the betrayal of Jon Snow. Anyway I like many others emplore you to keep going, perhaps even make S6 1 + 2 your first reactions next week but i'd say that's not bloody likely.

Gray

Yeah reminded me when Lost was at it's biggest and the forums we're mad with speculation & predictions too. The year wait each time for GoT was too long.

Rojeh D.

Cassie, we always knew the episode 5/10 was going to be rough on you! But trust us, you need to keep going. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Season six is absolutely fantastic and you won't be disappointed. You are doing good! Game of Thrones has that ability to take you down to the bottom of the pits at one moment and soar you to new heights at another. That's why we loved this show!

Gray

Good thing there are those small bits of Bronn comedy in these last few eps cos it's a bit of a bummer.

Gray

she has mentioned she does swear on their pod ages ago but I think mostly when you injure yourself ala stub you little toe.

Jay

No way.... she deserved much worse than that!

Allan Rumberger

She mentioned constantly throughout the season that she was wondering what Bran is doing.

Allan Rumberger

Literally everyone knew what was going to happen early in season 6 with respect to how this ended. It was the least surprising thing the show ever did.

AJ Romano

This is the single greatest outro I have ever watched on anyones reaction channel. Ever. EVER. Wow.

Allan Rumberger

Because Melisandre was planning to do that to her all along. It wasn't really subtle.

inpham0us

Well its official. Got S05E10 is the moment that elicited the first Cassie F-bomb in PiB history. lol

Omar

The ruling on the field is a muffled “Freak” - 5 yard penalty, still 1st down.

Omar

Muffled “freak”

Omar

Upon further review, the replay at the Leauge office in New York revealed that it was a tear muffled “freak” - 1st down.

Omar

I like that one too 😂

Omar

Also easy to forget in light of everything else, but I’m not sure she knew how to process Arya gutting Meryn Trant. Curious about her thoughts on that.

Daniel John

Damn took it harder than the Red Wedding. You are the goat at reacting lol....keep going if you wanna stop after season 6...that's the finale to me. The last two episodes of season 6 are some of the best entertainment I've ever seen. Power through Cass you got this. Been fun rewatching with you...I forgot how damn bleak the end of season 5 is...some rough stuff. Gotta say I really disliked all the Dorne stuff on this run through...they dropped the ball on all that.

Caomhan84

Nah. It was a "frick." I replayed twice. Not a true f-bomb.

McShades

Uh oh, Cassie is creating her own list now, and Benioff and Weiss are on it !!! Did I hear the F bomb??!! I just keep picturing Chris Evens as Captain America saying "Language" lol

McShades

Yeah Lena Headey was pregnant IRL at the time so they had to use a body double.

Daniel John

This is my first re watch since I binged it all before the last season aired. I didn't remember as much from this season...you can really feel the show start to wobble here. It's definitely the worst of the first 5. The end of season 6, last two episodes, are incredible...let's see how I feel about the whole season as a whole on this rewatch...I think I'll enjoy it more than I did season 5. Anyways looking forward to A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms tomorrow lol...I think Cassie will really enjoy that if she goes to watch it

DAVID COSTELLO

Maintain your little character shrine. You picked great.

Powers209

That was some really good ugly crying, Cass. You're over the hump now, Cassie. You got past the hardest part of the story. The show might fall off over the next couple of seasons, but I think you're going to feel better about it by the end. Still... that was some A+ ugly crying on your part. Good job, it's nice to see someone deeply connecting to a story. I can't say I like what the Davids did to the show, as they raced to leave for that stack of Disney CASH. Karma played her hand so well that the Dave's got Nothing as a reward for phonig in the last season. but the show is not the unwatchable mess Disney gave us with star bores. GOT is a tiny bit better and way more entertaining. I'm looking forward to your cheers for the characters we still have left, along with the ones that join the show. See you next season, Cassie,

Christian Becker

Wow. I knew the episodes themselves were very powerful stuff to watch. But your reaction elevated them to the next level for me this time around. I myself, being the cynical human I have become, can seldom muster up genuine feelings while watching movies anymore. However, I can somehow feel with or through you. It's hard to convey what I mean, I hardly cry myself, but I can't stand to see other people cry. That's the best I can describe it. So thanks for that. That season finale was where I caught up watching back then. So I had to wait to see what was next. Just like you now :-)

Johnny Bullis

We were all dreading this one for you .. right up there with the Red Wedding. This show told you right from the 1st season is to expect key characters to die. We all went thru this too Cass and here we all are watching it again with you. Trust us , the ones who already lived thru it. Keep watching . Please dont believe that theres nothing to root for. Just please dont give up. You've come this far and you've gained so many new subs because of this show.. we are all here with you to cross the finish line. You can make it. And did I hear you drop the F bomb?

Raymond Terry

Cassie's comments about Cersei after the "Shame" walk, and then a legit curse word because of what happens to Jon. Mmm hmm. Season 6... *rubs hands together*

Christian Becker

And two likable quotes I picked up during the watch-along: “Lord of Light my butt!” and “We need that for neck stabbing.” Very cute.

Alejandro Vallejo

Check out "mirror neurons" on the internet and you will understand why it happens. We are neurologically wired that way as a social specie.

Erik Taratoa

Are you still reading spoilers from people who can't help it? I wish you wouldn't read any comments and just watch this show blind, and to all the spoilers, please shut up, thanks

orlandoJ21

I knew this season finale was going to be rough but I was not ready for that "f bomb" & I absolutely loved it! The world of GOT is brutal but please don't stop watching.

Shawn Kildal

We've gotten the double middle finger, an unprecedented "f-bomb", a few complete meltdowns and breakdowns. This show has certainly taken a toll on her spiritly and mentally.

SEAN ƴü KAY

"...I hope he doesn't fight for his brothers ever again." -Casserole What did she mean by that, I wonder? I'm pretty sure that half the world's work force called out sick the morning after this episode aired...the red wedding was tough and made people angry and what not... This one made everyone go quiet and suddenly need their own catcher in the rye...

Shawn Kildal

I think she watches with the captions on which also helps keep track of names.

Daniel

Season 5 is so so dark. Shireen, Jon Snows ending, The Boltons, Sansas wedding and everybody that wants war and revenge all the time. Can you imagine the wait people had to accept between season 5 and 6 with that ending!?

Shawn Kildal

My very favorite quote from Cassie is "kick her in the balls!!" It was from Million Dollar Baby during the last, traumatic boxing match.

Daniel

I started to watch GOT before the premier of season 7. I watch season 1-6 in 2 weeks. I couldn't stop. it was impossible. But to watch when it aired and have to wait for season 6... jesus christ that must have been a tough one!

Ignis Rændl

Condolences, Cassie. i knew this episode 10 was going to be hard🫂 hang in there tho. it doesn't get easier but you have to keep going.

Ignis Rændl

Condolences, Cassie. i knew this episode 10 was going to be hard🫂 hang in there tho. it doesn't get easier but you have to keep going.

Ignis Rændl

Condolences, Cassie. i knew this episode 10 was going to be hard🫂 hang in there tho. it doesn't get easier but you have to keep going. q

John Mellor

Jon Snow's death was a hard one, took me time to get over it, but I did finish the series, was never the same after, but like the red wedding, the shows so good it remains engaging.

Michael

Stay strong Cassie, I know your heart is broken right now, we all have been there, but there's still hope and heroes to root for. Things will get better, I promise. Please do not give up the show

AdrianF

Great reaction Cassie, this was always going to hit hard. I know lots say the show drops off after season 6, but it's pretty great throughout IMO. You'll be fine. Slightly unrelated, but your camera angle was different in this reaction... I'd been meaning to ask if you could rotate the lamp shade to your right to hide the seam, but wasn't in shot today. I know, important observations!

GillyBean

i know we're all focusing on john because he's a fave and we love him but can we acknowledge for a second how awful this season treated women and little girls throughout. jesussss it's a bit much and all at once sometimes. i think it wears you down a bit. i get that's the point sometimes, it makes future things feel more just and satisfactory. but it's still a hard watch. this season most of all

RB Dacasin

Cass needs some Dunk and Egg in her life right about now.

SEAN ƴü KAY

This show was already popular around water coolers in every office, but the trauma bonding, coupled with having to wait forever and ever, took it all to a whole higher level

WestBound

A knight of the seven kingdoms is a good breathe of fresh air

Steve Smith

Please hang in there Cassie.

Dazman

Despite how upset Cassie was, I can't help laughing as she scrambled for a tissue, only to immediately throw it in a different direction 😆

Yaisu

I know you're heartbroken right now but please continue to watch. It's worth it to continue.

Andrew Rose

That's the first time I can remember hearing Cassie drop an F-Bomb.. I feel bad for her.. I remember how I felt after this episode and she is so freakin tender-hearted.. I hope Ben was there to give her hugs. Edit... after listening to it more than a few times I think it was "frick"

2-Can

A woman has said.

Mad World

Stay strong for the starks Cassie ;)

Anthony Lopez

Probably meant the rest of the watch

VOCFM

Woah she said it???? She has literally never

VOCFM

All of the mistreatment towards women is dwarfed by the mistreatment of the character of Sir Barriston Selmy imo

Omar

Muffled “frick” - But I seem to be the only one that thinks so 🤦

Andrew Rose

Listening to it again you could be right. Not terribly clear.

GillyBean

his ending was so sad but at least he died with honour fighting for someone he believed in. hard to say any of that for the little girls who were victims of Meryn. or poor little shireen who died so young and for nothing :(

Cole Jennett

She says it was a “frick” that just sounded like the big one.

VOCFM

I have just legitimately never heard her ever say it and it's always Frick. I'm about to watch so I'll see, but if that is the case and Cassie legitimately was brought to profanity maybe she should just stop watching this show because I think this is proof that this show isn't good for anybody lmao JK you can't stop now, like, you know lmao, come on now

Cole Jennett

For the record, she is adamant that it was a frick.

VOCFM

In some ways the worst has now happened in this TV show In other ways, the worst is yet to come lmao

Obie Brown

Yeah there is good and bad parts for both. While them communal aspect of the show was very fun, the toxic parts also seeped in and spoiled the fun sometimes.

VOCFM

can you imagine 14 years of waiting after Jons ending? Oh wait, everyone who reads books can

VOCFM

She's no longer reading, it's all good

VOCFM

its fine, shes not quitting, she's just seething and coping its all good lmao

VOCFM

"and Benioff and Weiss are on it !!!" as they damn well should be

VOCFM

I need to know where it is that you are getting this info lmao

VOCFM

KILL THE BOY JON SNOW AND LET THE MAN BE BORN

VOCFM

It honestly kinda is the best one

VOCFM

imagine waiting 14 years for the book to continue. That's how long Jon's been laying in a puddle of his own blood for, Martin

Doc Larry/old geezer

The last time Cassie described having a reaction this strong to a character was when she talked about “McDreamy” Dr. Derek Shepherd, portrayed by Patrick Dempsey on Grey’s Anatomy. That wasn’t something we saw on a channel back then; it was something she described — and you could feel how invested she was just by the way she talked about him. Now seeing that same intensity directed toward Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, played by Kit Harington, says something powerful. Jon Snow represents honor, loyalty, sacrifice, and the heavy burden of leadership. He consistently chooses duty over ego and responsibility over personal glory. That kind of character resonates deeply. There’s something wonderful about being so invested in a character — especially when that character embodies qualities we admire and strive toward. When someone connects that strongly to courage, integrity, and moral conviction, it reflects depth, empathy, and heart. Great job, Cassie.

VOCFM

Lets highlight the plus side of all of this though - Which is no spoilers. We had shit spoiled like no tomorrow. Jon Snow dying ended up not being a secret, nor the red wedding, nor oberyn because no-lifes on reddit wanted to subtly show how smart they are and would slowly spoil the entire show for you. LE CLEGANE BOWL, LE KIIILLLLL THE BOY JON SNOW Shut up reddit

VOCFM

At least Ned Stark is still alive inside of a Kings Landing pigeon

Oisin Clissmann

The first time she enters Cersei's cell.

Samuel Champ

No, you're not. I listened a couple of times and im with you.

Clarence Newman

That was just grief blabber. She caught it straight afterwards and said "cut that bit out".

VOCFM

I don't think she reads these comments (Cassie if you are reading this just stop reading this) So I'm going to say this assuming that you know what I mean Shireen may not have died for no reason - if we assume that sacrifices do matter, which it seemed to when the leeches were used, then you know the thing that happens in the next season could be caused because of that sacrifice. It may be the opposite of for no reason, Shireen may end up saving the world essentially. Also the biggest problem I have with Selmy and his treatment is that they made a lifelong knight of Westeros so absolutely stupid that he would go and walk through the streets of a foreign city after multiple members of the army that he commands have been slaughtered by jihadies in the streets and WEARS NO ARMOUR after being at the top of the pyramid which heavily suggests that he passed the armories before going down into the streets which means he willingly chose to wear no armor. He was wearing armor in that scene he would be alive right now because it's the entire point of westerosi plate armor - random insurgents in the street can't stab you and you just win because your entire body is coated in metal If they would have done that the character would still be with us right now and that is why he will be with us in the book because Martin doesn't kill people because they just aren't wearing armor (Roose Bolton even wears armor to the Red wedding so he wouldn't be killed so Martin obviously knows how important armor is)

Clarence Newman

Yeah. There's always a danger of an idiot spoiling deliberately, but there's just as much of a danger of someone inadvertently letting a future cat out of the bag. I'm glad she steers clear.

Clarence Newman

I think she still wants to see Arya as an innocent little girl. This episode in particular proved that she's losing that by the bucketload and that's not going to sit well with Cassie.

Clarence Newman

I think that was grief blabber, guys. She said straight afterwards "cut that bit out", which I think was a message for the editor.

VOCFM

It shows that a classic/fairytale version of men - honarable - all the things you listed - really is the most desirable way to be

Clarence Newman

To be fair, none of us would've noticed his absence if he hadn't returned.

Heikki Poutanen

I know how bad it feels but please don't stop watching the series. Your reactions are so heartwarming and entertaining. And you really care for the characters. I personally enjoyed season six a hell of a lot more than season five. The Shireen scene now just seems like emotional manipulation

Clarence Newman

257 comments so far? I'm beginning to think Cassie's GoT reactions are mildly popular! I have some thoughts: 1 - This offering from Cassie is exactly why I'm here. NO-ONE invests in characters as completely as she does and the result is reaction gold that pays for our subscription bucks with interest. It doesn't get better than this. 2 - I'm leaning towards the belief that the F-bomb was actually a frick-bomb, but one thing is undeniable - if the death of Jon Snow didn't draw an F-bomb out of her, nothing ever will. 3 - I'm wondering how the kid's party Cassie was going to afterwards went. I'm thinking quite a few kids went up to Cassie's little ones and whispered "Why is your mom's face all puffy and red?" 4 - There was never a single second of Cersei's walk of shame where I ever felt sorry for her. That woman is pure evil. It's hard to watch because it's such a disgusting way to treat someone, but my overall thoughts now are no different than when I watched the episode the first time. How dumb can the High Sparrow be to let that woman out of the cell he controls and back into a fortified castle he doesn't control? Also, kudos to the peasants and the accuracy of their garbage-throwing. By the time she reached the bottom, Cersei looked like she'd just finished mud-wrestling in a pig trough, yet Unella ("shame...shame....shame"), who was walking two steps behind, didn't have a blemish on her. Reminded me of The Great Race. 5 - This is the point where I can say nothing of substance. So I will say this instead. Cassie knows very well by now what this crazy show is and what to expect going forward. That's not about what the rest of us know about future episodes, but about the five seasons of rollercoaster ride she's already endured. Of course it's worth continuing! 6 - I don't think she's going to do it anyway, but I think a break at this point would be a mistake. Best thing to do is get right back on the horse and keep moving forward. In summary, thank you again, Cassie. For the several hundredth time, you've made something I love even better.

Chris B.

Wholly agreed with you on #4. I get it; a lot of people will watch what's happening to Cersei in that moment and let their empathy override reason because they see her upset and exposed, but that walk of shame is the end result of (almost entirely) Cersei's own bad decisions and hubris, and her crying there is not an act of genuine contrition, but of self-pity over being forced to actually experience a shred of accountability for her deeds.

GillyBean

maybe how he was treated is a good indicator of how changes/deviations from source affected the whole story. i feel cruelty towards women upped in this season alongside the this change. as did some of the characters (including your man) i need to get on to reading the books

Shehab Dawoud

Sounds like that was a rough one. You should move on to a proper show like The Sopranos.

Omar

Nah. GOT has notes of goodness in between the awful. Sopranos is just dark on top of dark, made worse because it’s contemporary. I like it, but don’t think she would, especially for how long it is.

Gray

Ngl I've had a sleep and it sounds like frick now, with those mod privliges you can prode her to watch the next eps asap. 😉

Funny is subjective

I remember the long wait for the next season after this ending.. Rough times..

Sean Carroll

What moments are really that good from now on when it’s all wasted by the end?

Sean Carroll

The best moments have already passed. There are only a few good moments left and the rest is garbage

Sean Carroll

How is that a hot take? The only thing that’s bad is she forgets so much stuff

Sean Carroll

None of what’s left is s tier

Oliver Higgs

Thanks for chiming in, Sean. Your thoughtful feedback is appreciated and will no doubt be of great value to the community.

Derrick Guess

Bran, Aria, Sansa, and Rickard still alive Cassie! Keep pushing forward

Christian Becker

I heartily agree with your #1 and the last sentence. Those two points are 100% congruent with my feelings toward Cassie and her channel.

Christian Becker

There I have to slightly disagree. I personally think that on a platform like Patreon, it is rather “rude” to ignore comments completely. People write their feelings and opinions more often than not directly to Cassie - ignoring them because of fear of spoilers? If you are really that afraid of spoilers, have someone skim over them - but do not ignore them completely, which she doesn’t anyway. Just to be clear, this isn’t meant as an attack - merely a different perspective.

Clarence Newman

"He was my favourite." Ugh. Broke my heart.

Thomas Cooney

One of your best ever, Cass - hang in there for season 6, and then GREATLY lower your expectations for seasons 7 & 8 — just remember the “Sunk Cost Fallacy” — you’ve watched it this far, may as well see it to the end now. Cheers!

Augustine Lee

ive seen other comments here and i wondered myself: what did cassie mean when she said "i hope he doenst' fight for his brothers ever again..." then said to "cut that part out"? i dont think theres much other way to interpret that, other than as cassie implying that jon snow will somehow survive and will have the option to fight for the nights watch in the future. anyone else have thoughts?

Zachary

This really is the most brutal two-episode stretch in the series. Much of the rest of the series is either rectifying or redeeming mistakes made in this stretch and prior seasons. Hope you stick with it!

Wil Castillo

Hang in there, Cassie, it gets worse. RIP Jon Snow

Zach

Not fact, just an opinion. Of yours, which wasn't asked for, which i cant defend against without spoiling.. So its meaningless... Fuck it!!!! Id go so far as to say, i do know of one thing she literally asked for in one of the early seasons, which will come true over the next 3 seasons and she will be thrilled, ecstatic even. Alot of ppl dont like the last few seasons. But its key to know why. Most ppl don't like the story and how it unfolded and ended. Me personally.. thought the story was perfect. I had 2 other beefs with the show tho. 1. The script got slightly worse as it went on(I came from nothing speech, used by at least 5 ppl maybe more) These mistakes stand out to me. And 2. travel was shortened in the last 3 seasons.. What took an episode to travel now takes 2 to 3 scenes. The tv show Lost suffered from 2 especially. Exploring the jungle took a whole hour or multiple episodes early on, in the last 2 seasons, they triapse all over the island in single episodes.. It suspends belief when they do that.

Clarence Newman

Don't think so, Augustine. As I've mentioned below, I think that was a bit of grief babble. I think she then realised it didn't make sense and gave an instruction to her editor to cut it out.

Zach

Those mistakes , however major or minor they are, dont ruin what is S tier television, imo. If its about the story beats, eh to each their own. I thought they told it the best they could considering they made it all up with just notes to go off of

Jay

Yes Sean, my comment was 100% serious. Thanks for pulling me up on it...... 🤦‍♂️

Clarence Newman

Agree with the first part, Thomas, but in the interests of balanced opinion, I have to say that I'm certain she'll enjoy 7 & 8 too. There's no use you and I arguing about it - I respect your opinion and it's as right (for you) as my opinion is (for me). If anyone else were to comment on it, they're opinion would be right too (but only for them). Cassie has proved time and again that, once she's engaged with the characters, she can overlook anomalies and imperfections a lot easier. Most of us have a lot more trouble doing that.

Thomas Cooney

Oh I completely agree. Every “mainstream” viewer I’ve know that never read the books or cared about the lore or source material was like “hey I thought it was good” lol - and I’m like… these are the same people who like the transformers movies lol nothing wrong with it. If anything, I envy their ability to not be film snobs like the lot of us lol cheers!

Clarence Newman

Can't disagree, Gilly. Treatment of women in this kind of world feels accurate, but season 5 wound it into the red.

Omar

lol and maybe Melfie and Artie Bucco

Patrick Flanagan

I agree, if it's a brutal world then characters shouldn't be babied, but some of the scenes this season were particularly gratuitous, to the detriment of the storytelling

Cole Jennett

Only Cassie and Ben can delete comments and they aren’t just there at all times to see our warnings. It’s better if people refrain from making comments about future events

Augustine Lee

Hi Clarence yeah I’ve seen your replies. You make a fair point that it could just be speaking while not being the most clear headed, but even then , making a nonsensical statement is ok if you realize it is nonsensical. Just say , wait that makes no sense. Having a wish for a dead person to do or not do something is quite beyond what most rational people would accept as a slight error in logic while overwhelmed with emotion. I really don’t like being cynical. And I truly love the authenticity and openness of Cassie. Just hope she continues to recognize and prioritize authenticity. If it’s a non issue that would be great. Something feels off to me about it though.

SEAN ƴü KAY

It's not enough evidence to overrule the call on the field. It's an f bomb and a justified one

SEAN ƴü KAY

I put it in izotope, isolated the audio, put it along side her saying Frick 2 different times...at best it is a "fruck" but I think it is a well justified f-bomb. I'll walk away from it and give it fresh ears again later...I remember my mom dropped an f-bomb when this happened, so very justified in my eyes....what really sucked is how long between seasons we all had in real time...a lot of people didn't go to work the monday after this episode aired that's for sure...

SEAN ƴü KAY

For those with the fbomb in question @ 1:55:56 I have the software and gear for this....and when I put it in izotope, isolated the audio, put it along side her saying Frick 2 different times...at best it is a "fruck" but I think it is a well justified f-bomb. I'll walk away from it and give it fresh ears again later...I remember my mom dropped an f-bomb when this happened- and she gets mad when people say "crap" even, so a very justified usage in my eyes.... what really sucked is how long between seasons we all had in real time...a lot of people didn't go to work the monday after this episode aired that's for sure... Hang in there Cass. Thanks for the great content tho...it ain't an easy show on the heart...

Clarence Newman

Sean. You should apply that software to Neil Armstrong's quote when he set foot on the moon in '69. It's generally accepted that he messed up by saying "One small step for Man, one giant leap for mankind", whereas I maintain that he actually says "One small step for 'a' man" and the 'a' was lost in his thick Wapakoneta accent and the crappy recording quality of the day.

Clay F

Augustine - rewatch the outro a couple of times and will become less off to you. Cassie becomes invested in characters, especially on series. They feel real to her. During a Popcorn to Go podcast, Carly said that when her and Cassie visited Canada, one of Cassie’s favorite characters on Grey's Anatomy died. Carly overheard Cassie on the phone asking Ben to fly to Canada because she was so emotional. Cassie has been on high alert since the red wedding at the possibility of Jon dying. Her outro was grief-stricken and not fully coherent. “He was my favorite.” “They stabbed him 20 times. There’s blood dripping out. Like he doesn’t come back from that, right?” “I hope he doesn’t fight for his brothers ever again.” “I take that part out.” One of her take backs. Not speaking to the editor.

Clarence Newman

I get your point, but I can't say I heard it that way. Nor do I believe for one moment that Cassie is going in to these episodes with anything more than the most general prior knowledge. If you think about it, the comment makes no sense whether she knows what's coming next or not. It's not his brothers (of which there's only one left, not a plural amount) that have caused Jon or Cassie any pain, so why would she not want him to fight for them anymore? Clearly, in that moment, her messed-up head was referring to the Brothers of the Night Watch, who she now hates as much as Joffrey. No sense wasting too much energy on it, though. Cassie's heart is right there on her sleeve with this show, and it's got a few more wringers to go through yet. As for the authenticity of her reactions, I don't even have the slightest doubt.

Clarence Newman

I've read the books, Thomas (well, listened to the audiobooks while driving), but I was fortunate enough to watch the series first. I agree that it's going to hit a lot better for the likes of me than it is for those who read the books first.

Clarence Newman

VOCFM. Are you telling me that the LAST thing George R R Martin did in the GoT books was kill Jon Snow??

Clarence Newman

She's done a few good ones in GoT. One of her best was after Littlefinger betrayed Ned Stark in Season 1. Cassie's quote? "That gross little mofo."

Clay F

Respectfully -- I agree with Clarence. I hated the Transformer movies but found S7 and S8 highly entertaining and think Cassie will also. No need to lower expectations.

GillyBean

i think she'd love them sm

Clarence Newman

Season 6 is rubbish or awesome, depending on who you talk to (although I can't see why those arguments would start with season 6 - there's so much good stuff in it). Regardless of our opinions, Cassie will make up her own mind.

Clay F

I know of only one confirmed F-bomb by Cassie in a reaction (a year or two ago). If I can find the video snippet, I will post it in Extra Butter Chat.

Clarence Newman

Tyrion would add that there is also wine.

Clay F

I know of only one confirmed F-bomb by Cassie in a reaction (a year or two ago). If I can find the video snippet, I will post it in Extra Butter Chat. Edit: I was wrong -- not confirmed -- she said "Buck" and not the F-bomb. There is another instance in which she says "what the fu..." w/o ennunciating the ck. Definitely no r-sound in there for frick. Both videos posted to EB Chat.

Clarence Newman

I'm pretty sure she said sh*t when Bilbo suddenly went demon after seeing the ring round Frodo's neck, then started to say f*ck before catching herself. The girl's moral code is virtually weapons grade.

Thomas Cooney

I think for me (and a lot of people) who knew the books, the lore, the trajectory, etc. -- There's no question that those last 13 episodes cover enough material to have done 30 or more episodes across another three seasons to have the show FEEL the same way it felt in seasons 1-4. Travel took time, in 7+8 everyone unlocks "fast travel" and is just where they need to be from one scene to the next -- cliche hollywood tropes such as "oh no, the character is in trouble, what's going to happen" - camera cuts to a different scene, comes back, oh they're fine. And that's the tip of the iceberg lol FULL DISCLOSURE --> I agree with y'all lol All I'm saying is Dave & Dan 100% Knew what they were doing, they knew they had easily another 3-4 full seasons worth of material, but they are literally ON RECORD saying they just wanted to be done with it. HBO offered them 20+ episodes and essentially a blank check, and they refused: "Nah, we can do it in 13 episodes across 2 short seasons" -- so you end up with the remaining TWO Unpublished Books (separate issue lol) worth of material, condensed and shortened into 13 episodes that feel like rushed, mainstream, anyone could have thought of this thrown together slop. Visually? Amazing. Production value? 10/10. But character arcs, payoffs, especially some certain LONG AWAITED payoffs :: clears throat :: just fall completely flat, revelations occur that will happen in the books but actually matter, whereas in the show it's just like -- oh and this too... oh and that... oh and this... It's unfortunate I can't speak spoilers or I could really start picking this apart but on the off chance Cassie sees this thread I would never wanna be "that guy" lol - So i understand my position is harder argued when I need to speak in general/spoiler-free terms -- but when she finishes the series, let's revisit this lol I love a good GOT discussion. And again, to be clear, you're not wrong, neither of you. I'm just saying a large cohort of the fan base expected much more than what we got, and George RR Martin himself is on record saying: "I thought we could have done at least 13 seasons to get it all right." -- Not to mention the displeasure of essentially the entire cast. But let me not go any deeper for now lol

Canadianant

I'll take Cassie's word on it but it really sounded like the real thing so much do to me that I was startled but it and had to pause for a second thinking did she really say that? 🤯.

Blane

I can't think of anything positive to say that isn't a spoiler. I hope the good people around Cassie can convince her to continue.

Canadianant

The biggest scandals of our time. Did Cassie actually say the F word or was it a Frick? The controversy is Right up there with the Canadian and Swedish curling Olympic scandal. 🥌👈

2-Can

NASA says he did say “a man”, they blamed it on a transmission/recording glitch. I’m good either way - given what he just did. The story of flying along until he found a suitable landing spot shows a master pilot at work.

Brian McGovern

I think in terms of wringers, I seem to recall that other 1 or 2 in final season, there are no episodes where "evil" triumphs over good. It is more that the good start to get a few wins. There are certainly no more where characters she loves are killed. I know we do not want to post any spoilers, so this is about as vague as I can be without revealing too much. However, right now, most people have been making not so vague spoiler remarks. Cassie isnt reading these anyway.

2-Can

I just watched the Netflix documentary on the 1980 US Olympic Ice Hockey team. Your comment reminds me of a great quote from one of the players detailing how Herb Brooks kept riding him, saying “Your playing gets worse every day and now you’re playing like it’s next week”.

Clarence Newman

Those curlers are ruthless. I heard they're calling it "The Little Finger scandal".

Jack Urmson

That is correct. Book six, Winds of Winter, still has not been released. It was supposedly near completion when they were filming season six, but Martin and his publisher have yet to release the book. So, for those counting at home, if you read the books, and have not seen the show, the readers have been waiting 15 years to find out what happens to Jon Snow.

A'rora Nightfall

On another note. As Jaime was always my favorite character in the show and the books, that moment when he finally had the absolution that one of his kids actually knows he is her father was so well acted. Even though the tragedy that came after was heartbreaking, I am so happy that Jaime had that moment of actually being a father.

Shahin Amir

She said it, and it was glorious.

Omar

I didn’t think there were any. Maybe another muffled near miss?

Omar

With 30 seconds of gas left too.

Clay F

Yeah, Cassie is generally no longer reading the GoT Patreon reaction comments. She avoided YT GoT reaction comments from the beginning but I think would glance at the GoT comments on Patreon -- but now apparently no more.

Mark White

Gripping stuff as always. I had a nagging feeling this was going to happen. End of series cliff hanger, killing off a big character and a good one at that. It’s kinda what this show does. I wasn’t entirely sure it would be Jon, but I thought it was him or Sansa. I don’t know why I feel like I do, but I’m just glad it wasn’t Sansa and I hope she has gotten away from Ramsey! They have killed off big characters before and it has moved on the story and characters in a way I never thought possible. I just hope this is the case with Jon as well.

Mark White

Agree with everything Clarence, especially letting Cersei go, Stupid! I have a feeling the high sparrow is going to get his wings clipped!! But the only way this show can make things up to me, is for Ramsey to get what’s coming to him!

SEAN ƴü KAY

Let's hope she keeps watching so you both can find all that out...Lucky for you, you won't have to wait a year like we did at the time...

Rick Williams

Is it worth continuing? When this originally aired on HBO I stopped watching it after the Red Wedding. But then you, Cassie made me watch it again and continue beyond the Red Wedding this time. I think we must continue. I think the Red Witch now knows she backed the wrong man. That's why she left him before the battle. Why did she go back to Castle Black? Who is she seeking? I think she saw something in Jon.

Clarence Newman

I know what he thinks is coming to him, Mark.... "The world, Chico. And everything in it."

Mark White

True Sean, no way could I wait a year!!

Florian Zingen

We always knew this was coming. I always thought this might break her for real. This was f'ed up back then, waiting for over a year. Man this show is good.

Kevin Farrell

Some of y'all treat Cassie like a child 😆

Deepan Nathan

Very well said! Season 5 is the most difficult to watch

don marshall

damn never thought id see cassie swear haha but yea definitely a hard episode to watch! especially with how sudden it happens

Milton Reduxed

You think that's bad? HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE will have Cassie screaming the c-word

Thomas Clancy

I thought she did too but after listening to it very carefully she said frick. Why am I disappointed about it lol

bknsty14

I read the books and there was more than one F bomb and a lot of other choice words. This series kicks the S out of you.

Kiss the Librarian

@VOCFM You're comparing things that don't compare. There are several times the show fails to convincingly suspend disbelief in various fights/deaths, and your critique has nothing to do with OP's original topic. Ironically, even when the torture of women and girls is done to a gratuitous degree in a way that does not serve the story, people still uphold it for its believability. So you're not only comparing the supposedly believable with a dubious death scene, but shifting the discussion away from a critique about exploitation for no reason other than to wax on about war zones, and probably because the original topic makes you uncomfortable. It's such a familiar, fragile reaction from certain personalities when anyone talks about how women are treated, in real life or in popular media.

Kiss the Librarian

Sorry, Cassie. Daenerys's conversation about destroying the city of Meereen "if need be," based on her judgment of the city's morality, says a lot about her world view. Given what Tyrion's seen and been through, it was odd that he responded to the guy arguing to protect the city with compromise by basically calling him an idiot. Didn't feel true to Tyrion's character, but he may have been siding with Daenerys on the principle of ending slavery in general - even if it meant kind of agreeing that mass murder was the answer if they failed to end slavery.

Captain Hammer

Cassie often gets a little self conscious with "I know it's just a show!" Cassie, we're here because we enjoy your reactions. No need to feel self conscious or apologize for sharing your feelings with us. <3

Nolofinwe

Cassie I can’t bear to see you sob but do not despair it’s not true. That good does not win -good wins all the time it’s just that evil is forever busy and needs feeding. Theon and Sansa has escaped. Breanne of Tarth The most noble warrior in Westeros is still looking for her Tyrian and Varys are back together again with Jora. And Daenerys Still has three dragons and a new set of advisers. He’s just a bad writer when they come to a difficult part, you can also always kill a popular character to withdraw emotion from the reader. Don’t despair don’t give up hope .

Kristin

feel free to ignore my comment. No need to respond...move on.

SEAN ƴü KAY

I remember moments in time with friends and family around a fire or dinner table or wherever we were, and one of us saying "...ya well it aint all bad...at least the PATS won the superbowl...*cheers*...right?.." but after that episode I remember a few moments then during the silence someone says "...I still can't believe jon snow is dead..." cuz the time got longer and longer in between seasons as the show went along... keeping these wounds open and hurting longer...

Stan the Man

“I hope he doesn’t fight for his brothers ever again. [long pause] Take that part out” Wait. What? That pretty much means what I think it means right? I’m trying to make sense of that comment and give it the benefit of the doubt but I don’t see any other meaning to that than what it implies. Which…man, that’s disappointing. I really don’t know what to think after that.

Stan the Man

Yeah I just wrote something similar. I think the comment means what we all think it means. Which I hate to say but there’s no way that makes sense in another context. I’m sure others will say she meant this or that but come on. She’s watching a show that was advertised heavily and deep in the zeitgeist. She’s going to know some things. The way I’m choosing to contextualize this is that there are people watching along for the first time with her. Perhaps that’s wishful thinking on my part but for now that’s how I see it. But yeah. Anyone saying she didn’t know what she was saying I think is not really being honest with themselves. I don’t think it means anything nefarious, maybe at first I did but when I consider the people watching along for the first time, I can accept it. Maybe, I don’t know lol

Just Plain Bob

I caught that as well and had exactly the same reaction you alluded to.

Robin Gibbons

Hopefully if she knew, she didn't know how. So this is still a reaction to the shock of how...

Kyle Reese Popcorn Fan

I did question this at first, but it doesn't make sense that she'd have such a strong reaction and that she would leave that in before posting here. She also hasn't taken any comments down regarding that and continued talking after she said it, lile she was going to say "Go f*ck," something or other. So it's possible she was saying cut out the part where she was gonna swear? Idk.

Stan the Man

Yeah I replied elsewhere that when you think of how hard HBO advertised the last few seasons, billboards of actors, how deep the show was in the zeitgeist, I just don’t see how certain elements don’t get spoiled. That being said I do think her reaction is legit. But there are people who watch along for the first time with her and that might explain her not revealing what she knows and what she doesn’t. But I duno if I’m telling myself that cause I don’t want to believe the alternative.

Steve Smith

Cassie, there are 23 more episodes to go. Please hang in there 'til the end.

Clarence Newman

Lots of discussion about this, but I think it’s a storm in a teacup - grief talk that doesn’t make sense whether she knows the future or not. Personally, I don’t believe she knows anything but the most general info about future episodes. If she does, that very much endorses the moderators’ constant requests that we don’t spoil anything. Based on Cassie’s reaction to Jon’s death, one of two things is going on here. Either she had no idea what was about to happen, or she briefly turned into Meryl bleedin’ Streep. Whichever it is, she deserves a standing ovation.

SEAN ƴü KAY

Yes!.... That is the bell I have been ringing also...she has to keep going because when we had to wait that year it was extra painful...

SEAN ƴü KAY

I think we have to have this discussion on discord and not in text...both to do it justice and because...stuff... I would love the discord to be more active so just name when... my discord name is DeadPool...

Clay F

Stan -- you misquoted her. She said: "I take that part out." You left out the "I".

Cole Jennett

My guess is she had taken some time to compose herself in between the end of the episode, and filming the outtro, and in that time, she thought about whether he could have possibly survived or not. It may just be she was thinking that to herself when she started talking out loud, and realized she hadn’t voiced her inner thoughts. Honestly, i’m with Clarence, I think it’s just grief talking.🤷‍♂️

Jacob Lunbeck

I think I've interpreted it differently from other people. Right before she said "Take that part out" she started to say something else, made a noise, and then didn't seem to know where she was going with the thought. I assumed that's what she wanted removed, not the line about "brothers". I guess we will have to wait until the YouTube edit to see.

Clay F

Rewatch outro a couple of times. Cassie becomes invested in characters, especially w/TV series. Characters feel real to her. During Popcorn to Go podcast, Carly said when her and Cassie visited Canada, one of Cassie’s favorite characters on a TV series (I think Grey's Anatomy) died. Carly overheard Cassie on phone asking Ben to fly to Canada b/c she was so emotional. Cassie been on high alert since red wedding at the possibility of Jon dying. Her outro was grief-stricken and not fully coherent. “He was my favorite.” She vacillated between accepting Jon dead vs not being 100% sure he died (surely hoping). “They stabbed him 20 times. There’s blood dripping out. Like he doesn’t come back from that, right?” “I hope he doesn’t fight for his brothers ever again.” “I take that part out.” A take back she prone to do w/GoT. She saying I didn't mean it, e.g., no intent or was dumb. She still meant what else she said but not that part.

Shahin Amir

You guys are convincing me that she might know more than we'd like her to know about stuff.... and that if she doesn't know, this line of talk could be detrimental.

movie_enjoyer42

To me it just looked like a normal “ugh that sounded dumb” moment that the editor forgot to take out. When I used to tune in to her live watches she would talk to the editor while doing the intro in front of us. I think it’s being read wayyy deeper than it is, but you do you.

Mojo One Thousand

I put it down to being similar to "Grey Worm" and "Ser Barristan", their fate was unknown at the end of that episode and "Jon" is currently bleeding out in the snow. I think Cassie was holding out hope with that comment, because nothing was confirmed in the episode, so just things coming out half thought.

Clay F

movie_enjoyer, if edit instruction, why say "I take that part out" instead of simply "take that part out." Even if instruction, I think she would given it b/c she didn't like comment, or as you said sounded dumb (e.g., in view of seconds at episode end w/Jon lifeless bleeding out in a pool of blood).

Mojo One Thousand

I felt like Cassie watched this before "Mystery, Alaska", as she used the "shame, shame" chant in that reaction and it seemed too coincidental. The was the third definitive moment that would really rock Cassie, eith "Oberyn" and the Red Wedding being the others. But based on the attachment and duration of time with character, it was always going to be the worst as we got closer and light of the show reaching what seems a nadir. If every there was going to be an f-bomb, this was going to be it... I don't know if is or isn't, but it was earned if it was.

Kevin

Please tell me she went to her daughters Valentine's Day party and, when people saw her upset, she let them know, "THEY KILLED JON!!!"

Stan the Man

Clay: after reading your comment I’ve listened to it multiple times and she says “Go[pause] take that part out”. I hear no “I”. So I did not misquote her from what I can hear. Others have commented as well and I don’t see “I” being reported.

Clarence Newman

I agree with Shahin. Deep discussion has made mountains out of many a molehill. This is a handful of nothing.

prime78

I get it, I don't want that to mean that some reactions are not 100% genuine and I would be disappointed too. I would much prefer a reactor have integrity and say they have seen something or know something before a reaction. It certainly does seem genuine this episode and most things she has reacted to, or is she really is that good? I do like Cassie and Carly's reactions otherwise I wouldn't be subscribed the youtube channel and patreon . That being said, I did notice some inconsistencies. For example watch the outro to the tombstone reaction and then go watch the Miracle reaction. Also go watch the intro to the Shining reaction and then go watch the Good As it Gets reaction. Could very well be mix ups and forgetfulness, or I'm looking too deep into it, right?

Stan the Man

Clarence: Are you a mod? Reason I ask is You seem to be working overtime replying to every comment that brings this up. If you aren’t a mod, if the position ever comes available , you should 100% apply. You’d be good at it. I almost wish we could post memes/gifs here. Your posts remind me of the first Naked Gun when a fireworks factory spectacularly explodes and Frank Drebin stands in the foreground going “Nothing to see here folks” as amazed onlookers watch the exploding disaster behind him. Not that I think this is a disaster but your zeal just brings it to mind. I just need this to be clear lest anyone mistake my intention. I don’t think Cassie lied or faked or committed any duplicitous acts here. She was clearly shocked by what happened. But it’s like the red wedding. She probably knew there was a thing called the red wedding. But she just didn’t know the details. This show was far too big & ever present for her not to know or be aware of certain things. Her reactions are still genuine tho since how any of these pieces fit would be unknown.

Clarence Newman

Fair point, Stan. I tend to get into stuff like this a bit too deeply. I believe Cassie to be about as genuine a human being as I’ve ever known, so this little maelstrom kind of digs at me. There’s no abuse or personal attacks in your thread, though, so I see it as good, fair discussion. Mostly I’m trying to convince those who are concerned about this that they don’t have to be. We’re all enjoying the GoT reactions so much, I don’t want that going away.

Kyle Reese Popcorn Fan

Any punishment that is sexually abusive or humiliating, like assault or this, making someone strip naked against their will as people sexually harrass and throw feces at them, is unjustified. Especially for a woman. There are ways to punish someone without taking the chance to sexually exploit them, or exploit them to others.

Kyle Reese Popcorn Fan

No, i think Clay is actually right, I just played that part back and I swear she says: "Go... I take that part out." She might have a feeling or have seen hints but this reaction still feels genuine. Either Clay has good ears, or we both have bad ears and heard: "I..."

KyloJames

Replayed it a few times. She says “frick” but it does sound like it. Still, hard reaction to anticipate. Once she sees S6 first few eps, she’ll be back on the hype train

Reneeboy

And now his watch has ended...😔

Brett Richey

Of course she doesn't know anything about the show already. She said something dumb and wasn't thinking straight. Outros have been edited in the past many a time. I'm pretty sure this outro would have had 'that' comment removed if it 'gave her away'. Why keep it in? It's still in the reaction we watched because it's genuine. If not and I'm wrong, then Cassie is literally one of the finest actors of her generation. F-bomb or not F-bomb? - that's the only controversy here.

movie_enjoyer42

Seriously. This is a non-issue that's being peddled by drama queens. Oh well, helps her engagement numbers I guess.

DAVID COSTELLO

I must have missed it. What episode?

Clay F

Stan -- you misquoted her and continue to misquote her. She said "I take that part back." Listen again. Also, in your original post, you said: "That pretty much means what I think it means right? ... I don’t see any other meaning to that than what it implies. Which…man, that’s disappointing." So you are saying she is the best actor on Earth. You ignore all context. Your wild conspiracy theory is ridiculous.

JohnnyUtah

I believe you're right, that was a rough one though.

DAVID COSTELLO

I started watching GoT for the first time after Season 5. Every twist was already spoiled. The second time I watched the whole show was with Cassie. It feels so much rawer this way. The sorrow and the joy. There is still joy left.

Stan the Man

Clay: I am not misquoting anyone. She doesn’t say “I”. End of story as far as I’m concerned. If it helps you cope, ok. But I don’t hear her say “I”. As for your other issues, you’re grasping at straws. For someone saying I’m ignoring context, you sure are ignoring a lot of context. At no point did I say she’s acting. I explained what I think happened. Or “context” as you might call it. This is the last I am going to say on the subject. I do not wish to engage with you any further. If you wish to get into back and forth debate with someone on whether or not she said “I”, perhaps one of the other people who heard what I did will oblige. Otherwise, please move on.

Gavin Frazier

I never thought I would hear Cassie drop the F bomb...but to answer your question, we kept watching because we had to see how it was going to end. As they always say..."It's always darkest before the dawn." You can do this Cassie!!!

Doug

FWIW, I don't think Stannis would have burned Shireen. That's contrary to his entire character, but they had to make him a clear-cut bad guy for reasons or whatever. It was a character assassination, plain and simple.

Qtr

We ALL know you wont regret continuing. Cant wait for next season!

Doug

I think it's impossible to not get spoiled on this show unless you lived in a cave during the entire run and some years after. That doesn't mean Cassie has watched the show before.

Clay F

Stan, have a good one. Thanks for the discussion.

Clay F

Are you saying a character assassination of the fictional Stannis in the book?

Ben Dixon

The air date for the last episode of season 5 - June 14, 2015 The air date for the first episode of season 6 - April 24, 2016 Just had to live with it and run through endless fan theories about what just happened and whats next.

Clarence Newman

We all know that either she won't regret it or maybe she will. We are also all winking at each other frantically right now, but that may be because we have something in our eye. It may also be because Cassie will eventually discover that Jon Snow killed babies in his spare time and has an "I Heart Joffrey" tattoo on his forearm, thus softening the blow of his demise at the hands of Ser Alliser, who then turns out to be a stand-up guy she owes an apology to. The only thing she knows for sure right now is that Jon is goldbricking in the snow, leaking copious amounts of claret. (Damn, I think it's an eyelash. Nothing to see here, Cassie. Move on.)

Kyle Reese Popcorn Fan

Let's be real, there is no payoff to this show. It's essentially a string of edgy moments that leads to nowhere.

LukeG84

Poor Cassie. I honestly don't know how she has the will to keep watching given how cruel this show is. I know my interest in continuing is at rock bottom.

Doug

An assassination of his character in the show. Book Stannis is honorable, to a fault. Burning his own daughter, even to win the Iron Throne, is beyond the pale.

Clay F

So the show did a character assassination of the fictional Stannis from the book.

K, Zachary

My father always told me you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. He also said you can't change the past. It's only the future that counts. Like I said in the email and my YT video I quit the show after what happened to Sansa I was done. I thought they had gone to far. My gf at the time agreed which made her skip as well. Season 6 came on and we skipped it. Then my cousin of all people we were sitting at his bar one night and he told me to try to watch 6-1 and 6-2 if I didn't like I could quit. So we binged it 5-7 through 6-2...... This where I stop no spoilers no ruining it. A lot of fans thought the burning of the princess was just as bad as the red wedding. According to Wikipedia. I do have an opinion on this but I can't discuss these matters here. Tough watch though my gf now couldn't take it she went to bed. We both definitely shared your tears though. Our hearts feel for you Cassie. I remember watching it for the first time. However I wondered where would the show go from here. We were about to find out when we settled in to watch 6-1 and 6-2......

Conchfritters

Love your reviews Cassie! Thank you for sticking through this one. Top 3 show of all time for me. Knew it wouldn’t be easy for you. I really appreciate you doing it though.

Above Average Dave

Wouldn't be the first time showrunners/producers/writers' rooms/studio heads decided to do a character dirty to advance their own vision, even if it's not true to the source material. I mean, look at the LOTR series on Prime. They admitted a distain for the source material, it's world-building and philosophy. So glad Prof. Tolkien is not here to see it. Or, as Elmore Leonard said when a writer asked him, "But Hollywood completely ruined your books!" Leonard smiled and pointed to all the published works behind him on a shelf, "No they didn't. They're right there."

DavidJPL

Kyle, sorry, I respectfully, vehemently disagree! lol There are TONS of wonderful payoffs to come; reunions, homecomings, avenging, etc.

Clay F

+1 for The Sopranos. Such a well written show, which Cassie would appreciate.

Kyle Reese Popcorn Fan

Avenging and reunions that don't make sense cos they were badly written. Someone could write a book with all the plot holes.

Kyle Reese Popcorn Fan

She 100% said I. You can interpret it as she does or doesn't know spoilers but she did say I.

Kyle Reese Popcorn Fan

I've had smaller bouts of this feeling, but especially here, k actually feel really bad for Cassie and making her watch this :/

Kyle Reese Popcorn Fan

I just went back and noticed she did edit something out, but it wasn't that. It was what she was going to say when she said "Go..." I think she was gonna curse them out and edited that away.

Scott Macaulay

Can't help feeling Cassie would have a better time over at Knight of the Seven Kingdoms! lol First run and everything! Much more hopeful story.

Cole Jennett

She chose to watch it. Nobody made her watch it

Kyle Reese Popcorn Fan

We made her watch it when we told her this show was worth it and would benefit her channel, which is her job. And although I think it is benefiting the channel, it still feels a little mean.

Astraeos

GRRM himself said that Shireen gets burnt.

Clay F

Kyle you have a point, but she did say she always wanted to watch Game of Thrones -- and decided to watch it with us instead of off-channel.

Bucees Enjoyer 😀

These 2 episodes are about as dark as GoT ever got IMO. It could only get more light from here.

MertzRocks

...and in the end I think she will be glad she did, even after all this trauma, which even though fictional, still hits us all hard - especially the first time. Ofc ep 9 I think most of us can't help but cry to some extent, even though we know it's coming. And then the episode continues to another epic scene? I've not seen a creator yet who can focus on the start of the arena scene. They're too blown away and usually crying their eyes out (and me too). And I am (and some of y'all are too, I'll wager) going to see it happen again with yet another creator who is only on season 2 right now. I know Cassie doesn't quit watching bc I'm late here and S6 eps 1-4 are posted already.

MertzRocks

3x9 The Red Wedding was a string of heinous acts all committed in one place in one evening. The midway point of 5x9 in my opinion is THE MOST heinous act committed in the show and the Red Wedding's first heinous act was the second most heinous in the show - and that is a close second. I don't want to elaborate specifics, you should all know which bit I mean.

Kyle Reese Popcorn Fan

Why are so many of us acting like there is something worth it in the end. Besides the reward for us, of watching Cassie react to it herself, there is no reward that makes this worth it, no fall back for the writers, and IF George R.R. Martin ever finishes another book, that probably (PROBABLY), won't make it worth it after all this time either. Especially with the show, bad writing stringing together a bunch of edgy sequences is not worth it in the end.

MertzRocks

Clarence, you're right. Something in my eye. It's worse when I'm upstairs bc my wife is constantly crocheting/knitting... Flying tiny yarn fibers... There's another one... 🙄😢😑😖

MertzRocks

Wink wink nudge nudge say no more, that was at least the SECOND during her reactions to GoT.

MertzRocks

No controversy. Why would there be controversy? She let one fly and who can blame her?

MertzRocks

But thankfully hers has not...

Shatner’s Cigarette

I have never seen such heartbreaking agony in a reaction like this one. Bless your sweet heart, Cassie. Is this the first reaction where she curses for the first time? She literally yelled in total dispaire, "What the F*CK is wrong with you all?!! SO MUCH FOR BROTHERS!!!!"

Philip Alan

Just like "Han Shot First"! We now have, "Cassie said "F**k". You will never convince me she didn't say it in anger & pain. Happy Easter, Cassie & Fam! #TeamDoubleBirds

Thomas Cooney

Did she ever confirm if it was an F bomb?

SEAN ƴü KAY

"What the 'ff-ah-ucK' is wrong with you all?" Show: 58:06 Youtube: 1:55:55 We all screamed during this. Most of us said way worse...I was one of them... ...Kit Harrington told a story, I am sure it has been linked b4 I am posting this, but he explained how he got pulled over for speeding/bad driving and he got out of the ticket by telling the officer spoilers for GOT and how he also had to tell the show runners for GOT that he told that officer that. The officer was probly monitored for a while and under (very mild) surveillance and didn't know it...what a hell of a thing to do if you work on a project like that and go , "now that I told ya, this multi-billion dollar enterprise with vast resources is watching you for the next year. You got a satellite named after you now." Lol sry...just thinking and typing with no filter...fun watching GOT on this channel that is for sure...
