As for whether it applies to Cersei, I don't think it does. That word generally means "painted woman who is nothing but looks and superior attitude", but that doesn't describe Cersei. She has the superior attitude alright, but I doubt she gives two hoots about how attractive people find her. She has shown on more than one occasion that she has nothing but contempt for the meek, gentle subservience that is generally expected of women in this world. She even said during the Siege of the Blackwater that she wished she had been born a man. 'Tart', therefore, does not apply to Cersei. The big, bad B word, however, might aswell be tattooed on her forehead.

Now the full reaction to 9 & 10 has dropped, I can say this. Yet again, the show ties Cassie up in knots and makes her root for (or against) the wrong character. In these episodes, it's her burning "need" for Stannis to arrive and free Winterfell.

OT but Robert Duvall died 😭 One of my all time favorites. Strange, I was thinking about him overthe weekend, wondering how he was doing. He passed away on Sunday the 15th.

In honor of the passing of one of the all-time great actors, here’s some suggestions for a Robert Duvall poll. To be clear, I think Cassie should watch all of these but understand that’s not in the cards. *MASH (1970) - Robert Altman anti-war classic *The Outfit (1973) - excellent adaptation of the second Parker novel *Killer Elite (1975) - Duvall re-teams with James Caan as rival mercenaries *The Eagle Has Landed (1976) - Duvall, Michael Caine and Donald Sutherland in a classic war thriller *Colors (1988) - Duvall and Sean Penn fight street crime *Lonesome Dove (1989) - Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones in one of the all-time great westerns; Cassie wanted to fall in love with a new western and this definitely fits the bill *Falling Down (1993) - Duvall and Michael Douglas in a story about a guy that’s having a bad day

I like/love every movie on my proposed poll but I’d honestly be a little sick to my stomach if Lonesome Dove didn’t win.

Clarence, you know I love Bullitt. But I left it off for the same reason I left off The Conversation. Both films are vehicles (see what I did there) for other actors. I almost left off MASH but it’s really more of an ensemble. All that said, my real wish is that Cassie go ahead and devote 7 hours to the Lonesome Dove miniseries and poll the rest.

Catherine- this past weekend I read an article about the oldest actors that are still alive (in addition to DuVall the list included Dick Van Dyke, Clint Eastwood, and Mel Brooks).
