And just like that my interest in the show is reignited. I hope Cassie calls an audible and watches the next couple of episodes straight away, even if that means a longer wait for episodes 5-6. I really need to know what just happened! 🤯

Astraeos

Crikey, Cassie was like half a second ahead and her gasping at Jon's heavy breath scared the crap out of me lol. Alright so, you really have no idea how long that year was between Season 5 and Season 6. There was so much speculation, so much waiting, so many things talked about from the books that could mean Jon wasn't actually dead, etc, etc. Definitely was peak GoT times for me. Can't wait to see your reactions to everything that is to come!

Obie Brown

Haha, Cassie's mind was REELING at the end, she couldn't help but jump right into episode 3, BINGE MODE

Cody Nelson

The Red Woman wasn't lying or making it all up. She was definitely sincere and she really did see visions. They just didn't come true like she thought they would(as evidenced by Stannis being defeated) and hence why she said "Everything I believed was a lie" and "The Lord never spoke to me". Also when she said "I never had this gift" I took that to mean she meant the power to raise the dead. Also, Beric Dondarrion was the name of the eye patch guy that came back seven times and yes it was a red priest man who brought him back by invoking the lord of light. That group of people that you keep calling the "Merry Men" are called The Brotherhood without Banners.

Captain Hammer

Rob was a good guy overall but breaking a vow is what lead to his death.

Zach

Thoros of Myr was the drunken priest.. He said he just said the words and it worked everytime he brought Beric back.. he didnt question otherwise.. The person it happened to was Sir Beric Dondarrion. Beric said he thought the lord has plans for him i believe

Obie Brown

I do love "Lord Beric and his Merry Men" haha

Zach

Heres to a Jon celebratory Patreon special.. 4 in one day? Come on Cassie u know u want to

Ed Garland

Thank you Cassie, for not only continuing the series after the last devastating episode, but for Also watching and posting here for us so soon!! I/we appreciate You very much!

Kieler, Zachary

So it seems that Cersi has her own personal Jason Voorhees. That would be nice. We asked you to binge 5-9-6-2. We knew you were going to be balling your eyes out when John died. Which yeah my gf did too. Which you didn't take our advice but you certainly did now. However my gf reminded me of who we are. When we see a dog or cat beside the road we stop. My girl actually carries blankets towels and cat and dog food in the back of her Toyota Landcruiser. When we see a kitten or a dog on the sidewalk begging for help we stop. When someone is in a car accident we always stop and help. When wildlife is stuck and need our help we always help Sometimes people they don't want our help or even to call the police. We do anyway. We help because we care. We knew you Cassie were going to be in trouble at 5-10 that's why we asked you to binge. We also understand free will and wanting to know if John is going to be the same, we get it. I figured this out once Sansa was rescued because the story would have nowhere to go. I could never explain why the red woman came back to Castle Black. Then there was the Brotherhood Without Banners. That one guy kept coming back. We will have much more to say on Upcoming on Monday and on my new YT video on Tuesday. Have a great weekend!!

Omar

Was wondering if she’d recall what Beric said, that every time you come back, a small piece is gone. That would have made the anticipation even more fun.

Scott O

Season 6 is one of my favorite seasons, so many good episodes.

Steve Smith

By all means watch the next episode sooner than later.

Augustine Lee

Awww what the heck. If Cassie watches more at least put it in the Patreon ?

PianoDean

"HOLD!" (I've never laughed harder....LOL)

Mark White

I had a funny feeling Jon might come back as the episode went on. They just kept showing us his body and never moved on from him in the story. But, why bring him back? Surely it’s against GoT policy? Build up a character you really like, then kill them off. I just hope for Cassie sake he isn’t like some zombie Jon! Because I don’t think she could handle it! At least Sansa is safe now 😌

aarswft

Khal Drogo wasn't resurrected, he didn't die. The witch never intended to cure him. She was making a point about doing too little too late. The Mountain wasn't resurrected either, Oberyn never killed him. Qyburn's experiments turned him into a monster. The only other person in this show that has ever been brought back, Beric, came back just fine. I don't understand all the fretting.

Thomas Clancy

You don’t need to worry Cassie, Baric was brought back multiple times and he wasn’t evil

Clay F

If she binges, she will likely bank them and still only release 2 per week. I’ve seen other reactors do that. I am watching GoT reaction by Klaire and she watched the entires series in a week but only releases reactions to 2 episodes per week. She does her own edits for YT same time as posting full reaction to Patreon, so the content is fresh for her. Another reactor I watch will often react to 4-6 episodes in a single setting for efficiency but only release 2 episode reactions per week.

Clay F

At this point in the series (conclusion of S6E2), Cassie has no way to know for sure if Jon will be ok -- if he will be evil -- if he will different or the same. Jon's resurrection could be different than Beric's resurrections. We see Jon's eyes open and he gasps a breath at the last moment of S6E2. To go from that to saying Jon will be fine (without watching the next episodes) = can't know for sure.

2-Can

Why didn’t they just take him to Miracle Max?

Rick Williams

Two good episodes and reactions, Cassie. Easter is coming. It is the season of resurrections. I don't think Jon knows how to be evil. But it is evil of you to watch the 3rd episode and make me wait a week.

Vak

Thank you, Cassie, for returning to your tradition of giving me one. single. glorious. moment. during your reviews, when I pick EXACTLY the wrong moment to take a swig of a beverage and either choke, spew it all over the keyboard and monitor, or both. "To be fair, I still haven't seen his head chopped off." Now I'm making a mental note to check your "watched movies list" to see if "Highlander" is a possibility. A couple of random thoughts: To your point on the Red Woman's visions: Melisandre definitely saw THINGS in the fire all along. She just read them wrong and let her preconceptions shape her interpretation of them. That's the problem with trying to make use of "facts" picked up from divination, augury, inference, wishful thinking, or the like. You simply might be looking at them through the wrong lens. No spoilers from me, but in retrospect, she wasn't completely wrong at any given point - she had just completely missed the mark on a few character names and ending points. Regarding the plots around Dorne and the Iron Islands starting to go nuts? Yep. Right there with ya. This is just about the point where both of those plots ran out of J.R.R. Martin written material as a foundation, and instead turned into a combination of his ad-libbed (and possibly drunken) ravings and the producers' desperate attempts to pull together his 8,000 plot threads. (Which clearly was not their strong suit.) So...there IS some decent and creative stuff coming in those areas, but it's gonna be rather messy getting there.

John Neiberger

I've seen the show a few times. After seeing Cassie's reaction the end of S5, I've never wanted to get to the end of S6E02 more than now.

Jimmy Stewart

I went straight to the next episode and the one after that...

Curtis White

I'm trying not to push ahead and keep watching - it's been so cool waiting and watching the whole adventure again!

Kal Zakath

The break in real time from S5 ep 10 to S6 ep 1 was about 10 months, and it almost killed me. There was so much talk about them, so much speculation, so much commiserating, so much swearing off the show... when S6 ep 1 finally came around, it was like the entire fandom could breathe again.

Daniel John

I'm dying 😂...Cassie fun in this show was seriously wanning. She was brought back to life with the same breath as Jon😂 End of season 5 and start of season 6 is some evil bleak stuff. I was like just get to Jon coming back to give her hope lol...it's on babbbbby

Brian McGovern

She’ll get a nice surprise when she sees Leanna Mormont.

Ian A

"I want Jon back, but I want the real Jon, not bad evil Jon." Cassie, you cant be asking for everything. Its GOT, there has to be repercussions and consequences. You know we can't have nice things in this world.🤣

Night King01

Book readers help me out. As per the last book Jon is still lying dead at the wall right?

Derrick Guess

The brotherhood without banners or who you were referring to

JohnnyUtah

This is why we press on. I'm surprised you weren't more interested in Bran all of a sudden reappearing after being gone all of season 5. Then again the loss of a loved one can affect you. 😅

Philip Alan

Two double birds & a proper F**K because of GOT! I'm here for it.

A'rora Nightfall

One plot thread they left out of the TV show is that in the books, Catelyn Stark is also raised from the dead and becomes Lady Stoneheart. I think they left that out because they wanted Jon Snow's resurrection to carry more weight.

Adam Simoneau

SHE'S TRYING TO WATCH EXTRA EPISODES WITHOUT US!! SOMEBODY STOP HER!!!

Bontakun

To answer your questions. Yes it is the same god as the guy who is in the Brothers without Banners. No the Red Woman did not "make up" what she saw in the fire, but she has lost her faith and no longer believes what she saw was real. And she rode away from Stannis for the same reason she no longer believes in what she saw in the fire.

JRCortez

"Ohh fricker fracker"..... That's a new one 😆.....

Conchfritters

Great reaction. Your feelings are valid - the red woman is evil and hope personified - lots of fun coming up. Thank you!!

Bucees Enjoyer 😀

What an elegant way to continue this series 🥹 you are as strong as Brienne. You will pull through this.

Tyler Lathrop

It’s only been 4 days?? It feels like 2 weeks!

H.L.

I've watched this show several times. But it's such a treat to watch it again in good company. Can't wait for the next episodes!

Episode 1: This episode is truly one of the worst in the show from a logic and writing perspective. I will break down each issue below. I’m bound to get hate from it from the season 6 lovers but I don’t care. Jon snow: it makes absolutely zero sense that alliser Thorne and the other mutineers would leave Jon’s body there when they know he would be found. The way it looks from thornes perspective is he wants it to be a private murder where the murderer/s are not obvious and therefore they might get away with it. The issue is that he literally then admits to the murder alongside the others so what was the point of that. Not to mention Thorne is mad that Davos and the others took Jon’s body and keeping it safe, if he’s so mad about it why didn’t he burn Jon’s body and just be done with it, I’m ignoring the white walker thing because obviously there are none around but still it’s a topic that shouldn’t be ignored. Thorne and the others obviously have a death wish because they know the wildlings will be mad and come looking for revenge. The whole Jon snow death plot line makes no sense at all Theon and Sansa: first of all I don’t believe that they could have survived the fall from winter fell, however they should have taken some fall damage and be struggling to escape on foot with no pain. Then we have them literally walk through icy water up to their chest height. There is no way they could run through snowy fields and then get in water that cold without experiencing hypothermia. They then are able to continue running after all that until they find a safe spot. Next I’ll move onto the timing issue with Brienne and pod saving them. This makes zero sense timing wise as Sansa and Theon escaped at the start of the battle while brienne killed stannis at the end of the battle. We should assume that despite the overwhelming victory the battle lasted about an hour or longer. It is absolutely illogical for brienne to save Sansa and Theon who have been running for hours chased by soldiers and hounds who likely left soon after they escaped all for brienne and podrick to somehow show up at the perfect time to save them. How could brienne even know that Sansa escaped as she left to kill stannis at the same time, and where to find her in the vastness of the northern country in snow. Dorne: this entire plot line this episode is the most egregious as it both provides ridiculous plot armour and inconsistency all over the place. In season 5 Doran Martell had soldiers who obeyed his every order and were quick to take ellaria and the sand snakes hostage after they attempted to kill Myrcella. Now all of a sudden when Doran finds out about myrcella she kills him and the sand snake girl kills his best soldier with no problem, then ellaria brings up that none of his soldiers respect him or care about him when that is a direct inconsistency from season 5 where they took her in. Not to mention how in the world could ellaria have learned this about his soldiers, there was zero setup at all for this. Jaime and Trystane: so remember how all 3 sand snakes were on the pier when Jaime left in the season 5 finale???? Well apparently 2 of them have learned how to teleport because now they are on the boat with trystane on his way back to dorne. This is unquestionably bad writing because David and Dan kinda forgot that they weren’t going with them from literally one episode ago. The plot armour issue is that if they were on the boat all along then why the hell didn’t they kill Jaime and bronn as well? Jaime is now a useless soldier and one good sneak attack on both of them would have made a massive dent on the lannisters, it makes no sense why they would have not even tried to do this given they were on the same boat, and the shipmen were most likely all dornishmen as Jaime and bronn travelled to dorne alone. God this is painful writing. Jaime’s plot armour is through the roof at this stage and it’s never been more obvious. If the dornish soldiers don’t care about Doran or his rule why didn’t they just kill Jaime and bronn back in season 5 when they captured everyone in the water gardens? Exactly it makes no sense Tyrion and Varys: cock jokes popping up more and more nowadays. So given all the buildup of Dany acquiring both ships in season 2 and unsullied and second son soldiers in season 3, she would have hundreds of ships and tens of thousands of soldiers…. How in the hell did the sons of the harpy which are simply street thugs burn down dany’s entire fleet/majority of her fleet without any single soldier noticing this out of the thousands that she has on guard. Surely the defense of her ships which are her transportation to Westeros are of the highest priority but somehow not a single soldier guards these ships. The writing surrounding this is just painful as it makes no logistical sense in the slightest. Dany: the Dothraki show that they don’t know who she is, she tells them she is the khalessi of the great grass sea alongside her other titles but the khal says she is nobody. Then all of a sudden changes his mind when she tells him she used to be khal drogos wife. Why should he believe her. Also if they don’t know her why did they make such a big fuss of capturing her in the season 5 finale. Thousands of horses circling around a woman they don’t know doesn’t make sense. Melisandre: there is a plot hole in this scene, we have seen at least one scene when she was in the bath in season 3 or 4 talking to stannis wife that she wasn’t wearing her necklace and she was still in her young form, but now all of a sudden she takes off the necklace and becomes her true form. This just shows that David and Dan forgot their own show. Wow there is a lot wrong with this episode. I genuinely hope no one tries to defend the egregious mistakes that this episode had. 3/10 episode overall. Only good scenes were Theon keeping Sansa safe (despite writing errors) and the Jaime and Cersei scene. Theon continues to be the most interesting character in the show

Sean Carroll

Episode 2: Overall I think this episode is fine, however there are still issues. Bran: nothing wrong with this scene (only in retrospect), however after 2 seasons of dragging bran across the north meera is suddenly all pissed off now??? Did she not know what the purpose of their mission is all along?? Brans storyline is still the most boring in the show alongside Dany. Tyrion: cock jokes again from the wittiest man in the show, he says he drinks and he knows things but Tyrion’s stupidity arc is beginning (look how they massacred my boy). This scene also confirms from greyworm what I said last episode (“we are searching for the men who burned the ships, BUT NOBODY SAW ANYTHING”), again, 10000 soldiers give or take and not one saw the sons of the harpy burn hundreds of ships, braindead writing. The masters of yunkai and astopor have retaken the slavers bay/slave cities and Tyrion changes the subject to talk about dragons…. Why? Tyrion then goes to meet the dragons, the issue with this is last season they burned a random man that Dany brought in but somehow the dragons which should be even more angry from the continued imprisonment and now adding in starvation are apparently not in the mood to burn Tyrion alive??? There is no way that Tyrion could have possibly survived this if the logic was still intact. Also what was the point of relieving them of their chains if he’s just going to keep them locked in still. I also have an issue with the dragons in retrospect from a future episode in season 6 which I will mention then. I genuinely think the Tyrion dragon scene exists because they know the fans would eat it up gleefully without thinking of the logic behind it. There are also people who think Tyrion is part targereyen so this might also create theories from those people. I however don’t see it either of those ways and just think the scene is bad overall. The Arya stuff continues to make no sense, what was the point of the cliffhanger of making her blind if he’s just going to give her her eyes back again after two episodes of living on the street and getting beaten up. Surely it would have been a better intention to have Arya train blind instead of just random beatings on the street. This whole faceless man storyline is just dumb anyway Ramsay: the karstarks found ramsays men who brienne etc killed last episode but didn’t find Sansa and her group? It didn’t look like they moved much, if at all. Considering how important Sansa is to Ramsay/roose, why haven’t they sent more soldiers out to find them. Also if Ramsay knows that Sansa will head to castle black why doesn’t Ramsay send soldiers towards the wall to cut off Sansa before she gets there. Roose Bolton has arguably the most anticlimactic death in the series, what was actually a fairly good and interesting villain gets killed in a way not befitting him (although it is poetic he dies the same way he killed robb), you can even see on the boys reaction that this death didn’t hit them in any way when if it was done properly would have been a major death. Sansa: why are they lighting fires if they only just escaped ramsays men? Why wouldn’t they be more concerned that Ramsay sent more soldiers after them considering Sansa’s importance. At least Theon is shitting himself knowing what the most logical thing that should happen, Theon continues to be a walking talking W. Iron islands: balon Greyjoy death might actually be more anticlimactic then roose Bolton. Also euron being in the show now just brings back cringe memories. Jon snow: nothing wrong with this scene, simply just an obvious resurrection when you consider Melisandre returning at the exact same time so takes away any true excitement. Good to see Jon back though. Only a few bad scenes makes this episode fairly average in my books, favourite scene is either Ramsay killing the baby and walda (don’t care if that sounds fucked up, Ramsay is a top tier villain) or the Sansa and Theon scene 5.5/10 episode

Story Archer

Can you IMAGINE having to wait a year for this?

Niclas Myrbäck

wtf thought I payed to see an episode like posted on uyoutube just that i didnt have to waint longer... this is all just blacked out -.-

Belthazor82

This is where the writing is starting to get weird for me. I didn't mind it on my first watch, because we get Jon back. But the more I think about it... Why was Ser Davos so eager to bring Jon back? They only had a few conversations before. Sure, he respected him, but was that enough to ask someone he loathes to bring him back with magic? What was in it for him that he would involve himself in the politics of the Night's Watch to the point where he would willingly give up his life in a fight that was never his to begin with? That just doesn't make sense to me.
