Good morning.afternoon and evening from wherever and whenever you are reading this! Hope you are having a great week so far!

First off THANK YOU THANK YOU for coming and participating in any way at THE POPPIES!! We had so much fun, we loved hanging with all of you and celebrating the community and the movies! Thank you again to Ben and Carly and our mods and longtime friend of the channel, Mr. Jordan-absolutley could not do any of it without them and of course all of you! Until next year!

Well we have had hockey something every night this week but it is winding down now until the nice long one week break until the spring/summer season haha. Its warming up so beautifully here right now (sorry to rub it in east coast storm people) and I am currently listening to 17 kids rollerblading in front of my house.

This week we have The Philadelphia Story (with Carly) the absolutely EPIC conclusion of GOT season 6 OMGGGGGG (drops tonight) and Awakenings-the runner up from our Robin Williams Poll. Next week we will have Fried Green Tomatoes (our pick a flick winner) Kingdom of Heaven and Children of Men. Taking a one week break on Patreon from GOT then will dive back into season 7 the following week!

If you missed it yesterday we had our annual PiB MOVIE MADNESS LIVE DRAWING! Where each team in the NCAA basketball bracket was assigned a movie that was randomly drawn from top requested movies in different genres. It was so fun and now will make the games (for me at least) even more fun to watch! The movies will move on if the team does until we get to the championship game in a couple of weeks.

Ben has made an interactive bracket with all the teams and movies right here on the new website You can check out the matchups and we added a fun little betting system where you can spend "butter bucks" (not actual bucks). Go BYU/Commando?? haha

Don't forget to enter your Pick-a-Flick for this month as well!

This week on YT we have Sense and Sensibility, The Last Dragon (a previous edit we are now putting on YT) and GOT!

Thanks for the mems guys!

Love, Cassie

Can’t wait for these two GOT episodes

keoma songs

I love Sense & Sensibility and I'm not afraid to say it. Most ardently. Looking forward to the YT version

Black_TYGR

I’m gonna be on GOTs like white on rice tonight! lookin fwd to it. 🤍🔥

Guybrush Threepwood

You’ll love awakenings, one of my favourite Robin Williams performances. Didn’t you say you were watching the 13th Warrior at some point?

Rosario Cicero

I’ll bet Cassie can do a half way decent impression of Katharine Hepburn

Richard Maurer

Looking forward to Kingdom of Heaven next week.

Popcorn In Bed

yes! Planning on it! I have a big list of I O U's in the next few weeks haha

Celeste McAllister🍓

'The Philadelphia Story' or "The Battle of the Mid-Atlantic Accents"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Popcorn In Bed

i couldn't sleep after watching-just REELING could not stop thinking about it

Oisin Clissmann

Me neither! I think we're in for one of the most incredible GoT reactions, but this time a more positive one for her. When she says "drops tonight", I hope it's not like midnight mountain time tonight. Fingers crossed it's out at a watchable ET.

Anthony Carlson

Awakenings is something I will look forward to! My mom used to be a psychiatric nurse in her heyday and would tell me all kind of stories that goes on with patients. Some of them are quite hilarious!

Caomhan84

She has already finished season 6 of Game of Thrones and it drops tonight?! Oh my God. I've been waiting for her reaction to the finale of season 6 since she started this show. I bet she completely lost it. 😂

Dan M

Robin Williams. Robert DeNiro. Awakenings. One of my most anticipated reactions of the year…and perhaps since I’ve been a Patreon member. Can’t wait!

Stick Figure Studios

THE PHILADELPHIA STORY Is a classic. Jimmy Stewart, Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant. I think you will both love it. AWAKENINGS is a wonderful little gem of a movie. Emotional and very satisfying with some solid direction by Penny Marshall. It was the first film I saw that had Robin Williams giving a serious performance and It made me realize that he was a very good dramatic actor. De Niro is fantastic as always and was even nominated for an academy award. Really looking forward to next week with CHILDREN OF MEN and KINGDOM OF HEAVEN: DIRECTOR'S CUT. I'll talk more about those when we get to him, but for now, keep up the good work. :-)

Dan M

Love the Poppies pic!! So glamorous! 🤩

Justin Samlal

GoT TONIGHT? Oh damn Cass you just made our Wednesday! I've been dying to see your reaction to these two episodes in particular for sooo long.

Adam Doyle

Props to Ben on the great Website! Very well made and useful.

Chris Thom

Glad to see Awakenings happening on the channel. Such a wild true life story. Fantastic performances by all.

Dave

It is better to have said "Go BYU/Commando" than "Go commando, BYU"😂😂😂

Oisin Clissmann

I bet she did! Further below she said she couldn't sleep because she was still reeling from it. It's going to be epic, and finally in a more positive way. No tears this time, or maybe tears of joy?

Catherine LW

Yay! Philadelphia Story! Katharine Hepburn bought the rights to make this her comeback film. She had become box office poison despite her winning Best Actress in her early career for Morning Glory. Her dismissive and impatient attitude caused her to be disliked by the public and press, who nicknamed her “Katharine of Arrogant”. In this film, she wanted to get her comeuppance to satisfy her critics and the press. She asked Cary Grant to star with her, and Grant agreed, wanting to help her faltering career. With Jimmy Stewart, this made a stacked cast, a love rectangle!

Michael West

The Poppies were awesome this year, everyone did a fantastic job and it was so much fun. You and Carly were great. Excellent lineup of movies. I wondered how you would feel about the end of GoT season 6. Can’t wait to watch. Thanks again for such a fun and entertaining channel.

Tyler Lathrop

Successful poppies and now we get spoiled with episodes 9&10 tonight!?!?! That just made my day

Wesley White

I'm sorry I wasn't there for the Poppies, but I'm glad y'all had fun, though at one point I did catch a glimpse and let me just simply say both you and Carly looked absolutely lovely in the dresses you picked out! Yeah I missed your live yesterday for March Madness, I had to work! I'll be honest with you, IDK why but lately I just haven't been myself! Nobody, not even you could snap me out of it! Plus lately, work has just been kicking my rear end! Last night, St Paddy's Day at work was nuts, I ended up doing an hour and 15 minutes overtime, ugh! I honestly am only looking forward to your reaction to "The 13th Warrior"! That's one of my favorite movies despite it was a box office bomb! Anyway, I'm still working on my fan letter to you with voting poll ideas! You take care and have a good rest of your week! Love and support always 🥰😇🙏😁😉✌️🌹

Clay F

I especially like Katharine Hepburn in The Philadelphia Story. Such an interesting character. I will be curious of your comparison to Cate Blanchett's portrayal of her in The Aviator. GoT banger episodes tonight. I don't think I've seen Awakenings -- will watch the reaction. For sure looking forward to Children of Men and Kingdom of Heaven next week.

Mark Vaderr

"dramatic music in the background" I planned my entire day around The Poppies. Made sure I got every important errand completed before 3:30-ish my time on Saturday to watch the big event. Then we got the message about your son's hockey game and Carly's husband. As a dutiful subject of yours, I stayed in front of my computer refreshing every few minutes for the next update. Stopping only to gather up a good spread of snacks to enjoy for when the big moment would arrive. 2 hours had passed and I had all but given up, figuring that things were more complicated and The Poppies would be postponed. All of a sudden a fellow member, said that the show had been on already. Alas, there the two of you were on stage and I made it in time to witness the last two awards. Allie Hamilton may have waited seven years for Noah Calhoun, but I waited three hours in front of my computer waiting for your show. Now that is devotion. Forgive my dramatics, this is not written with anger or malice. I just wish we had gotten that update on Patreon that the show was starting. I'm still here for you, Cassie. You're the best. ❤️

Clay F

I have nostalgia for The 13th Warrior.

David Cansler

GOT dropping tonight?? That's what I'm talkin about!!!

Chris Thom

Aww that's kind of tragic. You were waiting for a link over to YouTube? Pretty much the only things you have to wait for a link for are the Extra Butter chats at the end of the month, and some Pick a Flicks.

Jimmy Stewart

GOT season final and Philadelphia Story with Carly this week...pinch me I'm must be dreaming!

David Collins

is there no PiB Yahoo Bracket challenge for the NCAA Tournament this year? Loved the last two, they were a blast. We're running out of time if there is!!!!

Stephen Dias

Oh, nice! All good this week!

Frank Edwards

Cassie, last week in response to posts I and AceofSpades501 made you promised that The Day the Earth Stood Still would be on YT this week with Sense and Sensibility, 🤞, will it be on next week??

Mojo One Thousand

Didn't realise that "Commando" was tied to BYU when I watched the watch the stream. It adds something extra knowing Cassie has an increased interesting in that piece of 'peak cinema' through her alma mater.

Catherine LW

With the exception of Stewart’s midwestern twang!

Mike Lemon

Finally getting to Awakenings. I thought it would have been a Popcorn Pick long before this.

Dave

There is no yahoo bracket this year

Astraeos

I've literally been waiting for 6x09 and 6x10 since the first second that you started watching this series lol. This is gonna be intense

Clay F

At least we get the Popcorn Pick "Children of Men" this week.

Brian McGovern

I bet Cassie was grinning ear to ear after Battle of the Bastards.

Joe J

You ladies are just too gorgeous for words....oh behave!!!

Daniel John

We getting it tonight? 🤤

Daniel John

You know nothing Cassie Snow.... ....well nm now you know everything 🤣

MikeLL

So at last The Philadelphia Story is here! And with Carly will make an extra special reaction! What a great week this is! Every reaction a highlite!

2-Can

At first, I was wondering why she was going to ‘go Commando’ . . . Then I caught on.

Katie Jackson

Glad you're enjoying the warm weather. We had a wind chill of 5° Tuesday Night and it's still pretty cold here in Michigan. It's supposed to be about 70° on Saturday but it's going to drop back down to the 40's in a day or two, Michigan weather🤔😒Looking forward to March Madness! Actually the Horror/Thriller section had the most I was excited about, should be an interesting season.

Justin S.

Are we not having the March Madness competition as well this year? Where the person who gets the most points gets to pick some movies?

Jayson Phillips

Awakenings is such a great movie!! Get the tissues out!

Nick Stark

Awakenings is such an underrated film. Incredible performances of a true story

Thomas Clancy

Game of Thrones tonight?!?!? Oh my!

Mike Redford

Well if you end up with a BYU win/ having to go commando, it's a good thing the utah weather's been warming up lol..JK. Honestly would love seeing that win, because it's one of my favorite Arnold flicks. Think Rambo/John Wick. Again, the poppies were a blast. Thank you, Carly, Ben and the team. Heard so many good things about Philadelphia story so, can't wait for that especially.

Gray

The Poppies were good fun, knew Cold Mountain was gonna win that one award. I planned to catch up on GoT later today as had yet to get round to 7+8 so 4 hours including some of the best eps to binge tonight then 😁.

KyloJames

Oh my GODDDD. You spoil us. Omg. S6 finale of GoT, Kingdom of Heaven and FINALLY Children of Men? I’m gonna cry. Thank you, Cassie!!! 🙏🙌❤️

kaiielle

From this post: "Next week we will have Fried Green Tomatoes (our pick a flick winner) Kingdom of Heaven and Children of Men."

Gray

Next week

Walter

Philadelphia Story is one of my top 5 PIB requests. Very excited. Next one to work on - Charade. Then Father Goose. And Operation Petticoat. (I have non-Carey Grant films on my list too…)

RC

Oh, eps 9 and 10 are going to drop tonight? Ok honey, plans are cancelled tonight! lol

Nick Skelton

Under 2.5 hours and tonight isn't tonight anymore. Let's go, GoT.

Rene G.

Almost forgot: My nominee for the next year of March madness and beyond? Clockwork Orange..

christopher b swanson

not that anyone will see this comment, and it's based on excitement, not criticism, but are getting got tonight?

Tyler Lathrop

I’ll stay up until 4am est. I will watch game of thrones tonight!

Eve Griffin

We have reached the notorious back to back! Can’t wait for the drop.

Eric Wallace

Stayed up late. No game of thrones 😞

Chris Thom

Hour and a half left until midnight in California.

Joe Patty

So, does GoT drop tonight, as in today? or tonight as in tomorrow? xD

keoma songs

I suffer a different pain - home Internet outage for past day with no end in sight. Only have earlier seasons of GoT on blu, rest is all streaming. Don't know when I'll be able have the episodes stream on tv while listening to reaction on my phone. Could be days sadly.

Chris Thom

The internet and cable went out for twenty hours here a couple weeks ago and I lost my damn mind. lol

Rakesh

Wow Children of Men is a great movie. I jokingly suggested it in a YouTube comment comparing post apocalyptic London to new York on the escape to New York vid. Not quite as bad a future as NY depicts but grim just the same. Has a great cast and an interesting premise. Will be thought provoking. Clive Owen is very underrated. I think you've only seen him in Inside Man. He was originally offered the role of Iron Man.

Chris Thom

Did that happen last year?

Chris Thom

Just started using the AC this week.

Chris Thom

Is season 7 the end of it?

Justin S.

Yes, the winner got to suggest 5 movies and Cassie put them on a poll. I think Three Kings was one of the picks but didn't win.

Richard Maurer

Why don’t people look through Cassie’s post before commenting?

Richard Maurer

Why incessantly ask where GoT is every week when you already know the answer is “it’s tonight, whenever they’re ready to release it”?

Bill W

You guys look amazing as always. 🤩

Milton Reduxed

What people are really asking is whether they can expect it today or abandon hope and make other plans. I do think that if reactions are going to carry over into the following week then just give a quick update not to expect them till Monday or Tuesday—because fans of the channel will spend Sunday evening hitting refresh every 15 minutes if there's something they're anticipating Also Cassie is in the West so, 'it'll be up tonight' means it could be anywhere between 9pm-2am their time

Milton Reduxed

But there's betting on Popcorn Requests. If you win the most Butter Bucks I dare say Cassie will allow you to recommend a movie

james sweeney

I remember seeing it quite awhile ago and then it never showed up.

K, Zachary

Good Morning, Cassie, Ben and Carly as well as the rest of the PIB family and to all of Cassie's viewers, About Last Week: The Poppies were fantastic except for the singing in the shower that might have been a bit much. However Eva and I had so much fun. You did say my last name wrong it's pronounced (Key-ler) Then there was March Madness live. Much respect to the man behind the camera, Ben seriously great job putting that altogether. Now I was running the blender during some of it which sent our husky into a tantrum, (look up husky drama queen on YT and you'll see what I mean.) However when I heard Cassie say I am doing Battlestar Galactica I threw up in my mouth a little bit and did full body shudder like you see on the Simpsons this was completely involuntary I assure you. I will say this if you like the show more power to you. I probably should continue this conversation on my YT video next week. Rather than ruin this letter. I was going to donate more money but my little ARNP got busy at work. Sorry about that. It won't happen again. Onto the movies my hunny watched Oblivion and I watched Falling Down. We both watched GOT. We will watch the EPIC season finale tonight. All in all a Fantastic week. You should be proud of yourselves. The Week Ahead: Philadelphia Story so romantic beautiful story. One of the most romantic movies of all time. Awakings great story. Of course GOT The Battle Of The Bastards. Song Of The Week. So quickly this is one of our favorite groups of today YUNGBLUD with there cover of the Kiss song I Was Made For Lovin' You From the Fall Guy soundtrack my gf Eva thinks this song is hot. 🥵 https://youtu.be/gaD55NqPJA0?si=QnWN4YpBGyRnkv3K I bid you good day!

Mark White

Cassie, I have been trying to keep my head down and ears closed with GoT, but half the comments are suggesting something big for these next two episodes! I mean it always ends big! But how big can it be this time??!! Im going to watch tonight, it’s going to be exciting! I haven’t seen the two movies, so hopefully they are good ones. I caught the first part of the poppies but had to head off to bed! But, as always it was excellent. You both looked awesome. It’s funny you wanting “Commando” to do well, because it’s a proper boys movie.😆 Have a great week Cass. You are the best❤️

Rene G.

Since you and Carly love superhero stuff, how about watching Spawn 1997? It has Martin Sheen in it.. Very underrated franchise. It's neither Marvel or DC.. you're gonna love that.

Chris Thom

Hardcore addicted, apparently. I didn't quite realize, but wow. I had physical withdrawals and multiple temper tantrums.

Chris Thom

Have you been watching GOT in tandem with the channel this whole time? For the first run?

Chris Thom

I think my mom was a secretary or something for just a couple years at one in her 20's, and she said they would find them screwing out on the lawn. lol

Joe J

Newbie patrons would be my guess...just not aware how things work around here. As Shatner once said, "Get a life"...lol.

Mark White

Sure have Chris! It’s been very tempting to carry on without Cassie on a few occasions! But I held back. Can’t believe how much I’ve been swept up by it.

Richard Maurer

Here’s a crazy thought - watch it the next day, or the day after. It will still be the same reaction.

Clay F

He did great on that Kiss cover.

Clay F

Any time she says drops "tonight" -- most likely that means early a.m. the next day.

Clay F

Any time she says drop "tonight" -- most likely that means early a.m. the next day.

Clay F

Any time she says drop "tonight" -- most likely that means a few hours after midnight early a.m. the next day. Not that complicated.

Clay F

For sure looking forward to Children of Men and Kingdom of Heaven next week.

Mike Lemon

I'm surprised there aren't a score of "are the two episodes releasing in two weeks going to be up tonight?" comments already. The entitlement is ridiculous. Glad I'm not the only one getting fed up with it.

Mike Lemon

The first season of the animated show is so much better and is about the same length.

Gábor Árki

Children of Men, I've been waiting for this one for years and would be returning for a month just for this reaction alone. But with Kingdom of Heaven also finally happening (hope it's the DC, the theatrical is quite bad) I'm super excited for next week.

Richard Maurer

Brightburn is the best superhero horror movie - imo. Darkman isn’t bad either.

Milton Reduxed

They are just eager customers. Not knowing whether it's going to be tonight, tomorrow, or the next day, is the worst part I had an idea that all uploads should be by noon MST, if a title isn't released by then schedule it for noon the next day—then at least everybody knows it won't be tonight and they can stop expecting it might be. It's the hope that kills you

Joe J

I'm also in and out with the watch-along tier depending on certain movies. The Day the Earth Stood Still lured me back this month.

Clay F

Welcome back.

Richard Maurer

Am I the only one who doesn’t care about Children of Men? It’s not a horrible film but, without spoilers, a big piece of the plot makes no sense. By the time I finished it I didn’t really care about the outcome.

Richard Maurer

I can’t really say why I didn’t like it without revealing a major part of the plot. I’ll probably get into it after it’s been watched.

Joe J

I've never seen it, not sure why, just didn't make my radar.

Clay F

Milton, woke is good.

Clay F

I saw that Ohio St (Cool Hand Luke) lost. I thought about Clarence.

Richard Maurer

Unless it’s the middle of the night.

Richard Maurer

That’s too bad. Good movie too, I wouldn’t have been mad if it won.

Carlos Stevens

Oh Dear God No! Please don't watch The Last Dragon. That movie was terrible! I in fact enjoyed it when it came out, but it really didn't age well. Maybe go with a better Kick-Chop Spoof Movie, like Big Trouble In Little China?

Mark Vaderr

Yes, but lately nearly everything has a notification link to it.

Joe J

😥

Milton Reduxed

@Clay, woke is cringe. Plus it killed comedy

Mike Lemon

She watched The Last Dragon in January(?) and she didn't like Big Trouble.

Milton Reduxed

Awakenings is even more poignant given the mental breakdown of Robert DeNiro in recent years

Mike Lemon

"They are just eager customers." So was I but I didn't ask about Saw on every single post in the two years from when she announced it on an Update until she actually watched it.

Katie Sivak

Please Watch Hope Floats with. Carly and F1. A Quiet Place and Beverly Hills Cop Series Peaky Blinders and One Piece

Raieldon

Ah, man. Can't go wrong with Penny Marshall. I don't see Big (1988) on your Letterboxd which might be the most PiB-tailored movie ever.

Raieldon

No, wait, never mind. I caught the seen mark on the request site. Also I think Renaissance Man is underrated and was hit with the snob critic cudgel. I said it.

Chris Thom

Believe Penny Marshall had the world record for a while for highest box office total for a woman director.

Chris Thom

Yeah I kind of forgot why the plot mattered by the end, to be honest. Definitely a vibes kind of movie. Or post-apocalyptic atmospheric. Heard it described as Catastrophe Porn once. But it's a good chase movie with some interesting imagery. Not one I've wanted to rewatch all that much. But just had a flashback to how futuristic his London Olympics 2012 shirt was at the time. lol

Chris Thom

That takes some serious self control to not jump ahead. I have a tendency to watch five episodes at a time for series.

Chris Thom

That movie had some real potential. The bad cgi at the end hurt it pretty badly though.

Richard Maurer

Carlos - Last Dragon was somebody’s PaF, believe it or not, so she had to watch it, unfortunately. And while Mike is correct that she watched , and didn’t like, Big Trouble in Little China, it is in fact about a 1000 times better than Last Dragon.

Rene G.

Carly and Cassie need to watch Ready Or Not 2019. Esp. the sequel cos teh sequel has Buffy vamp slayer and frodo.. Go see that. Totally a date movie!

Joe J

Why put down what others choose? Mine or your picks are no better. Be interesting to see if it gets much engagement on YT.

Richard Maurer

? Chris - which movie are you referring to to?

Bill Maurer

No, I never liked it. Nice last name.

Joe J

RIP Chuck Norris.

Clay F

+1 for Series Peaky Blinders. I think she may have watched the first episode or two and didn't like it?

Clay F

Yep, Last Dragon = PAF winner.

Clay F

From Merrian-Webster, "woke" is defined as "aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)."

Just Plain Bob

It was a PaF winner. Since I’ve got Cemetery Man as my PaF choice for the foreseeable future, I’m in no position to criticize other people’s choices. I love it but recognize that most people won’t understand it at all. Plus, I quite enjoyed The Last Dragon. I thought it was fun. And I’m a fan of Julius Carry (Sho’nuff), so that helps.

Richard Maurer

Clay, I’m going to tell you the same thing I tell conservatives when they start talking politics - don’t, it’s against the rules. You want to do that, start your own thread, I don’t want my comments taken down because you need to say something that’s not going to change anyone’s mind at this point anyway.

Richard Maurer

Joe - actually, we have the right here (according to both the rules and Ben himself) discuss a film’s merits, or lack there of. If my PaF gets picked there will probably be people who will disparage it - and that’s fine. And I won’t care even a little bit, but I’ll still come at their comments - on general principle.

Mike Lemon

@Clay - You know that Webster has been caught changing definitions to advance political agendas, right? The most famous was during the Amy Coney Barrett hearings if you want to look it up.

Richard Maurer

Mike - same thing I said to Clay goes for you too.

Mike Lemon

@Richard- First, you aren't the comment police. Second, I didn't mention politics, I mentioned source integrity.

Mike Lemon

@Clay- You may want to read polls before posting them. The poll says the opposite of the headline.

Richard Maurer

It’s my comment, I’ll F-ing police it if I want.

Richard Maurer

Like any of this means anything anyway. You all keep arguing back and forth over nothing,

Milton Reduxed

@Clay, your 'new' poll is 3 years old

Philip Alan

haha. this exchange is entertaining.

Philip Alan

Pretty sure he's talking about Spawn (The Movie). I enjoyed watching that terrible movie. I haven't seen it in decades.

Chris Thom

The sequel came out already? How was it?

Mike Lemon

"Where’s a mod..." | For what? There haven't been any politics, except, maybe (and it would be a stretch), Clay's hidden comment, but he's allowed to be political for some reason. "It’s my comment," Your comment is yours, the thread is for anybody who wants to reply.

Richard Maurer

Fine. Waste your time arguing over silly propaganda nonsense. See where that gets you. Maybe you’ll “win” this time.

Rene G.

It was more fun than the first slow burn mid of a. Movie

Chris Thom

Did Chuck Norris really die??

Chris Thom

I think Cassie has seen A Quiet Place. If you mean that horror movie where they have to stay silent?

Rakesh

RIp Nicholas Brendon. Was brilliant as Xander in Buffy. Was also in a really underrated and brilliant indie movie Coherence. Worth a watch of you haven't seen it.

keoma songs

I never liked it either, and I've posted about it on here before, but I don't enjoy Clive Owen as an actor. There was a period of years in the 2000s where it felt like he went from a fringe British tv actor who was in extravagant car commercials that were never meant for tv to then being shoved down our collective throats as a leading man and I didn't appreciate it. After too many bombs and disappointments that stopped around 2010 after The International and Duplicity finally put an end to it. If I imagine Ralph Fiennes in the role, it would be improved immensely. If anyone wants another British pre-Apocalypse feel-bad movie with a sense of oppressiveness and the frightening notion of it seeming all too possible, check out No Blade of Grass (1970)

keoma songs

As a fan of Italian genre movies, it surprises me that I've never seen Cemetery Man, despite knowing about it for decades. I've probably seen most of the movies Soavi acted in but only a couple that he directed. But if Just Plain Bob wins the pick-a-flick, I'll have a good excuse and finally check it out.

Milton Reduxed

@Keoma, Owen is extremely wooden, I've never once seen him actually embody a character

Clarence Newman

"Here’s a crazy thought - watch it the next day, or the day after. It will still be the same reaction." The next day after it's been posted on here? As in, delay our essential gratification? Are you crazy, Montana? Are you crazy? Where would one even find such other-worldly discipline? You GoT-deficient sons of hamsters aren't aware of the horrific withdrawal symptoms us true believers experience from week to week. You'll know it's happening, because my posts may not make any sense.

Richard Maurer

I was wondering why none of your posts make any sense - now I know. And I get my patience from having to deal with you all the time.

Richard Maurer

Clay’s 1 post, which mentioned a certain person who shall (and should) remain nameless, was removed. Don’t post political content, no matter which side of the political spectrum you’re on.

Richard Maurer

Yeah, that’s why I only mentioned Clay. Any other mention I made of things getting political was purely a preventative measure to keep things from escalating , as I’ve seen happen before. I hate when my posts get hijacked, especially by things that are likely to get taken down.

Clarence Newman

I think Peaky Blinders would be perfect for Cassie now. A year ago, no, but after GoT? Perfect.

Richard Maurer

Philip - yeah, I think that’s probably right. But a comments pet peeve of mine is when multiple films are mentioned then someone makes a comment about one film without specifying which film they’re talking about. Happens too often here.

Mike Lemon

" I hate when my posts get hijacked," I'll remember that next time you and Clarence have your 20 reply back-and-forth under someone else's comment.

Richard Maurer

That’s different. People are actually entertained by that. Unlike the crappy quasi-political discussions people want to get into.

keoma songs

Let's all come together and find common ground on how unsatisfying Clive Owen is. Remember all the hype campaigns to get him cast as the next James Bond before Daniel Craig got the part? That would have been awful.

Richard Maurer

I had to go through Clive Owen’s filmography because I honestly couldn’t remember anything he’d been in. Sin City - he was pretty good as Dwight in Sin City. But not so good that no one else could have played the role, unlike Mickey Rourke as Marv.

Mike Lemon

Same, I looked through his filmography and I've only seen two movies he's been in- The Bourne Identity and The Pink Panther- and I don't remember him in either.

Richard Maurer

I saw Bourne Identity - had no idea he was in that either.

Chris Thom

He was quite good in Closer. The character was complicated and pretty unlikeable. But the acting itself was solid, I thought. Pretty sure he got nominated for that.

MikeLL

I'm coming to the site about every 3 hours to see if she has posted The Philadelphia Story. I don't trust my phone to give the notification. Only sleep slows my process. My pins and needles, which I am on, have pins and needles.

Milton Reduxed

I hope we can get some movies by the end of the week ⌛️ If not any chance of an update to abandon hope?

Milton Reduxed

Personally I find a political back-and-forth more entertaining than another convo about Cannonball Run & Dracula, but do appreciate politics is verboten and for good reason

Milton Reduxed

@Clarence, you know that describes half the regular patrons

David

the incredible the strut of how mankind discovered man's best friend ALPHA with WOLF beautifully filmed and deservers to be seen this wonderful winner movie

Richard Maurer

Yes, why talk about movies in a movie reaction comment section? And political discourse used to be interesting back when people could discuss it like adults. When it became ‘my team is always right!’ It became boring and useless.

Joe J

😭 It's official, there are now no films left in March Madness I have any interest in.

Byrd N. Hand

I'm down to 4: "Night of the Living Dead," "Ladyhawke," "This Is Spinal Tap," and "Little Shop of Horrors" (unfortunately, the latter 2 are facing off with each other next, so I'll be down to 3 at most in the next round). 🤷‍♂️

Richard Maurer

Down to one that I actually care about, Night of the Living Dead. There are some others I wouldn’t mind if they won, but I’m not really excited about it if they do.

Just Plain Bob

I think Clive Owen is an excellent actor within narrowly defined parameters. Essentially, he needs to play the stoic, tough guy with a heart of gold. I don’t intend that as an insult, Clint Eastwood had much the same limitations but he’s one of my favorites. Same with John Wayne. I thought Owen was good playing an aging Sam Spade in the tv show Monsieur Spade, for example. Unfortunately, the story fell apart under its own weight near the end. But Owen was consistently good throughout.

Joe J

RIP Valerie Perrine. She played Miss Teschmacher in Superman (78), among many other roles.

Mike Lemon

Expect disappointment and you'll never be disappointed.

SWEET 16 (games this Thu/Fri). Pulling for Mystic River, In Bruges, Scott Pilgrim, Insider, Night of the Living Dead. Drama/Crime The Next Three Days (#1) vs Mystic River (#5) Gone with the Wind (#2) vs Regarding Henry (#3) Comedy ¡Three Amigos! (#4) vs In Bruges (#9) This is Spinal Tap (#2) vs Little Shop of Horrors (#3) Action/Adventure The Last Boy Scout (#1) vs Scott Pilgrim (#4) The Rocketeer (#2) vs Ladyhawke (#11) Horror/Thriller U.S. Marshals (#1) vs The Insider (#4) Crimson Peak (#2) vs Night of the Living Dead (#6)

Richard Maurer

At this point the only one I really care about is Night of the Living Dead. There are 3 or 4 others I wouldn’t mind winning, the rest I don’t care about at all.

Richard Maurer

Jen Murray just did a reaction to Jason and Argonauts and while I’m not a big fan of hers I did enjoy it. Though a lot of that might be just seeing any reactor of note react to this movie. And It’s getting a decent number of views so far, 16.9k in 13 hours.

Byrd N. Hand

I almost feel as though Jen has a bigger percentage of 'older' subs/patrons than a lot of other channels (or more open-minded ones, anyway). I mean, most of her '50s/'60s sci-fi and fantasy movie reactions have done really well by her standards; meanwhile, views on her MCU reactions so far have been pretty middling. 🤔

Byrd N. Hand

Miss Teschmacherrrrrrrr!! I think the only other film I've seen her in is "Lenny" -- which never gets reactions. 😒

Joe J

Kudos to Jen for reacting to these classic sci-fi and fantasy films. Who else does that amongst the bigger reactors?

Joe J

I think even faithful Clarence couldn't resist the temptation and watched Jen's reactions to The Time Machine....and Cool Hand Luke...and Bullitt. A man is only so strong... 😂

Byrd N. Hand

He did cop to the fact that he watched her "Cannonball Run" reaction. 🤨

Richard Maurer

I liked that Jen was impressed by the stop-motion animation effects. And they are still pretty impressive, but most younger people act like stop-motion effects are about the same thing as puppets on a string.

Richard Maurer

30k views in 1 day now, that’s really good, especially for a 63 yr old movie that’s not super popular.

Richard Maurer

For those who are interested: emme reacts is reacting to Buffy the Vampire Slayer (series). She just released episode 1 on YouTube.

Joe J

Richard - I assume you watched Dakara's Buffy reactions? I'm currently watching her X-Files reactions.

Richard Maurer

Never seen Dakara’s reaction to Buffy. In fact don’t think I’ve seen any of her reactions to anything. I’ll have to check it out.

Joe J

Like Cinebinge, Jen Murray recently went to offering unblurred full length watch-a-longs. This will definitely increase her patron subs.

Clay F

I am more alighed with PiB voting patrons and Hold Down A voting patrons than Jen's voting patrons. (My first 3 reactors, all Canadia female, who I have been a patron each for almost 3 years). Jen's '50s/'60s sci-fi was really all her, not driven by the bulk of her patrons. I am sad she going down the MCU path (20+ movies).

Clay F

There was no patron poll for Jen to react to MCU franchise, only that Iron Man (2008) won a poll. Her reactions to MCU movies since Iron Man (2008) have been "auto" reaction w/no polls, i.e., by executive decision. She does that a alot, e.g., we got reactions to the shit sequels Karate Kid 2 and Karate Kid 3 (abysmal) by auto-reaction after she reacted to KK1 that won a poll. (She didn't even do a YT edit for KK3 I think b/c the views for KK2 were so low.) Below are excerpts of my comment on Jen's Iron Man (2008) full reaction on her Patreon back in October 2025: "I suggest she not continue. Not all MCU movies are as good as Iron Man (2008)..... I see suggestions to react to MCU up to End Game, but that's 20+ movies..... Could include a select MCU movie released after Iron Man (2008) in the weekly poll." "Iron Man (2008) won the last poll. The poll choice wasn't react to MCU up to End Game. I voted Iron Man (2008) but wouldn't have if I knew that Iron Man (2008) winning meant she would react to MCU up to End Game. I voted for 1 movie, not 20+ movies. Though, I would be happy for my fellow patrons who are MCU fans."

Richard Maurer

Clay - if she made a executive decision to watch the MCU movies this likely means 1) she enjoyed Iron Man and would like to see more, and 2) Iron Man did well for her on YouTube and Patreon. We all wish reactors would only do the things we want, but it’s unrealistic to think that’s ever going to happen.

Clay F

Richard - I am all for a reactor choosing to react to what they want and including what interests them, after all, they are the creator and whatever gets their creative juices going. No need for polls -- just react to what they want. But make no mistake, I don't think MCU franchise would have won a Jen patron poll (e.g., Predator franchise more likely to win a Jen patron poll). I think she decided to go MCU b/c MCU interested her. The views for her MCU reactions have not been greatest according to Byrd. When she asked in the thumbail text of her Iron Man (2008) full reaction if she should continue MCU, I think she had already decided to do so. I mean the isolated anecdotal feedback from MCU fans (a minority of her patrons) on the MCU Iron Man reaction is not going to be representative but instead with a definite bias toward MCU by a handful of patrons who are MCU fans. If Jen truly wanted more meaningful patron feedback, she would have put the MCU franchise in a poll.

Milton Reduxed

I was subbed to Dakara for a bit but her audio's terrible and she doesn't upload reaction-only videos to watch alongside your own copy

Clay F

I just check and Jen’s YT views have been shit the last few months (they have never been high), but at least she now makes decent $ from her paid Patreon members (back when I first join in 2023, she had only like 500 paid Patreon members). She pays for editing and I am not sure the break-even point (e.g., 25k views?) for her. 30k – Jason and the Argonauts (1 day) 13k – Loki: The Dark World (4 days) 31k – Seinfeld 8x21, 8x22 (6 days) 16k – The Omega Man (1971) (8 days) 23k – Batman Forever (11 days) 20k – Iron Man 3 (2 weeks) 35k – Seinfeld 8x17, 8x18 (2 weeks) 99k – Futurama S1:E1-4 (3 weeks) 22k – Mallrats (1995) (3 weeks) 1 MONTH 36k – Seinfeld 8x13, 8x14 49k – The Avengers 23k – Ghost 35k – Seinfeld 8x11, 8x12 25k – Predator 2 40k – Captain America: The First Avenger 40k – Seinfeld 8x9, 8x10 25k – Fantastic Voyage (1966) 29k – Hook 42k – Seinfeld 8x7, 8x8 2 MONTHS 79k – ST Generations 31k – Thor 35k – Seinfeld 8x6, 8x5 24k – Innerspace (1987) 29k – Soylent Green 50k – Seinfeld 8x3, 8x4 40k – Seinfeld 8x1, 8x2 24k – Iron Man 2 22k – Grumpy Old Men 22k – When Harry Met Sally 3 MONTHS 39k – Seinfeld 7X18, 7X19 28K – Bad Santa 45k – Seinfeld 7x16, 7x17 19k – The Incredible Hulk 47k – Seinfeld 7x13, 7x14-15 30k – Ready Player One

Jen Murray's most recent poll saw 3 Amigos finish ahead of Wall Street & Platoon. This is why I oppose universal suffrage and I'm done with that channel

Clay F

In that poll, I voted Wall Street, Platoon, Amadeus. Wall Street finished next to last. A travesty that ¡Three Amigos! received more votes than Platoon. Jen said she would react to all the movies in the poll that reached 200 votes -- one of her 200 Polls. Jen emphasizes that she wants you to vote for every movie in which you would watch the reaction. Several of her patrons don't seem to fully grasp what is a Jen "200 Poll". Jen Mar. 17 Poll ("A 200 Poll") 1. Amadeus – 226 2. ¡Three Amigos! – 210 3. Real Genius – 169 4. Road House – 156 5. Platoon – 150 6. Das Boot – 145 7. Wall St (1987) – 124 8. Passion of Christ – 58 I posted a comment, failing to garner adequate votes for Platoon: "Vote Platoon (if you would watch the reaction) even if not your top choice b/c this poll is not a competitive poll. The choices in the poll are not competing against one another. Instead, she will react to every movie in the poll that reaches 200 votes. Platoon (1986) [Oliver Stone] [AFI Top 100] --Won Oscar for Best Picture. --Nominated for 8 Oscars. --Charlie Sheen (great narration like his dad) --Willem Dafoe --Tom Berenger --Forest Whitaker"

Byrd N. Hand

Milton -- To be fair, "Amadeus" was the actual winner of that poll, which might be my favorite film of the '80s. Personally, while I don't care for "Three Amigos," I don't care for Oliver Stone, either, so it's no skin off my nose. 🤷‍♂️ Clay -- I don't deny she's miscalculated on sequels in the past (she at least kept KK3 as a Patreon exclusive, as well as the Bill & Ted sequels; on the other hand, the James Bond series did pretty well for her), but I'm not surprised she got on the MCU bandwagon, since it's been pretty lucrative for many other reactors. Alas, it hasn't really been paying off for her so far, and I hope she stops after finishing Phase 3, which is where most people seem to concur that that's where the concrete vision for the franchise ended. Ultimately, I'm more annoyed that TFA and "Batman Forever" won her 2 sort of 'divisive sequels' polls over the likes of T3, "Sudden Impact," "Incredibles 2," and "Inside Out 2." 🤦‍♂️

Richard Maurer

Clay - Her MCU views seem to be doing alright, compared to a lot of the other stuff she’s doing anyway. And her views aren’t any worse than what a lot of the mid to lower tier reactors are doing. Many of them can’t break 10k in a day with most of their videos

Clay F

Richard - agree MCU generally doing alright compared to other movies. 13k – Loki: The Dark World 20k – Iron Man 3 49k – The Avengers 40k – Captain America: The First Avenger 31k – Thor 24k – Iron Man 2 19k – The Incredible Hulk Reactors paying reasonable $ for editing, as Jen does, are losing money each reaction less than 10k views. At least can funnel in new paying Patreon members. I watch reactors who do their own editing. I am watching Klaire Reacts (age 25) react to GoT and Breaking Bad. She does her own editing, but complains about posting some of her stuff to YT (she said not worth the $30 she gets for a reaction) -- but her paying Patreon membership has exploded. I can tell she catering more to her patrons. Klaire (18k YT subscribers) gets about 10k per GoT episode, about 8k per House of Dragon episode, 70k per Inbetweeners episode (she has a UK following), 55k per A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episode. She hasn't posted her BB reactions on YT. She struggled w/S1, S2, in part b/c she hates Walt so much. She doing much better (interested) w/S3, S4.

Byrd N. Hand

Yes, Richard, *all* of Jen's nearly 850 videos have at least 10K views. You can't even say that about certain channels who have more subs, such as TBR Schmitt and You, Me, & the Movies, so she must be doing something right.

Richard Maurer

Times are changing for reaction channels - all of them, even PiB. A couple of years ago any YT video with less than 30k was a disappointment, even for most mid-tier reactors - now it’s what most of them are hoping for. As much as people are gauging Cassie’s 30k videos as failures, that’s just because we remember what it was like a couple years ago. Now most reactors would love to get 30k on a consistent basis.

Clay F

Yeah, now YT reactions are not considered a big money maker for many reactors but instead a means (a necessary evil) of getting attention to attract paying Patreon members which is how they make money. Those doing own editing (if they have time) fair better with low YT views (<30k).

Joe J

Milt - Her audio is low on her X-Files reactions. She shows the whole unblurred episodes via a google drive link. I don't have to source the program myself.

Joe J

Edits are expensive, generally in the range of $350 to $500 each. A reaction with 50k views on YT "could" net a reactor around $124 in ad revenue. Reactors get 55% of ad revenue, YT get 45%. TBR Schmitt does his own edits, but not many reactors have the skills (and the time) to do that.

Byrd N. Hand

Addie Counts also still does her own edits, as far as I know -- as does Natalie Gold (along with her husband), who, I believe, is the only solo reactor on YT who has more subs than Cassie.

Richard Maurer

Anyway, seeing how her videos do on average makes Jen getting 30k YT views with ‘Jason’ even more amazing. Cassie needs to watch it. If Jen can get 30k then Cassie can get 50 - 60k.
