meet the artist 2025 - wip(ish?) and sticker club update (Patreon)

hi guys (patrons of flesh.png)

I hope you all had a vivacious holiday season, first of all. Second of all, December sticker club is flopping (is delayed.) I have yet to get a shipping notification! Tomorrow I will email them and see what on gods green earth they have to say (probably very busy holiday season.) But unless a miracle happens, late December mail to be mailed early January likely…and Canadians.. god knows.. I will keep you updated.

Anyways this is my hyper neon meet the artist for 2025. If you’re new around these parts, I do one of these every year to let you know what sorta outfits I am wearing every single day and to update you with what niche celebrity I currently don’t like. It may shock you to learn this, but formula 1 was my Big Like of the year. Among the likes of blind boxes, legos, decaf coffee, and other things.

I had two kinds of meet the artist drawings last year, one which was just a huge drawing that encapsulated the year. I will attach that here..

So for that I will be also drawing this concept I’ve had and spoken about at least a dozen times, which is more of a question I ponder: which formula one driver would go to cheesecake factory with me. ? I haven’t found the answer, a lot of factors are at play. Would they go to cheesecake factory period, would they go to cheesecake factory with me (and my brother) specifically, under magical pretenses, would they enjoy their time at cheesecake factory, their meal (which I order for them, petite filet and original cheesecake), and would they be pleasant to the waiters. This is all at play. I’d love to go with lewis but he is vegan 3.

Anyways this question also prompted the idea of, “Oh to be a fly on the wall at cheesecake factory where max verstappen, arthur morgan, and optimus prime are eating a meal together.” My concept would also have spider-man, but he’s a little bit too much of a quirked up white boy idk I feel like he’d ruin the mood. So I put marceline there because that’s sorta weird too. Idk. Need to think about this more. Maybe it would be interesting to see Peter parker (youthful) interact with arthur morgan. Maybe miles... Lots to think on, important stuff too.

I ALSO want to put some fun stats about my art this year at the end… how many draws I done, medium, subject matter..idk.. most popular vs my fav. stuff like that.

I think Peter and miles would drop one of their one liners and then Arthur would respond with one of the coldest lines in history and they’d both have to stop for a second and be like what the fuck..

Arthur would not tolerate the sunshine and rainbows those freaks exude, but then I feel like Miles would remind him of Lenny and then he’d want to adopt him, as long as he stopped the one liners

logan sargent is the only f1 driver who would have truly understood the gravity and cultural impact of cheesecake factory. i also feel that re: max’s past comments on “why can’t my car be a boy” and “i love to ride him” (in reference to his car) that conversation between him and optimus would be very interesting. does optimus know about his past comments? does max bring it up? how does a sentient vehicle change max’s perspective on his career? would anything change for him at all? these questions remain unclear.

the logan situation is interesting because it begs the question of whether hes overqualified. yes i think theres a high chance hed be down to go but .. should we? its a bit on the nose. its boring to him. maybe i want to share this american culture with someone more unfamiliar. the max car situation is interesting. in my opinion transformers are guys (creatures with human-like emotionality and brain capacities) first and cars second. according to the lore of transformers one (2024), this is actually a major plot point. cogs, the piece of a transformer that makes them transform, are reserved only for the upper class. optimus and megatron, formerly orion pax and d16, were cogless miners. they had to find purpose and strength within themselves beyond the ability to turn into car. for this reason if anything optimus prime would react to maxs comments just like any human would and maybe even a little more understanding. but i would ideally like it to not come up. they can talk about human cars normally and bond over that

your thoughts on the logan situation are correct i think. my initial stance was that i would be too overwhelmed with managing this table of personalities that i wouldn’t want to also have to do the labor of indoctrinating someone to the cheesecake factory experience. that said, i realize most of these characters would require that labor regardless so the f1 driver stance is a bit of a moot point. additionally, i know logan is into golf and i just can’t imagine bringing someone who’s into golf into a cheesecake factory. this unfortunately rules out a lot of the drivers. in my mind i think oscar is the ideal in this case. just american adjacent enough to treat it with the respect it deserves while also being chill enough to not demean the experience and help mediate any fiery personalities. that’s just me tho. as for the max and optimus situation, i grew up with the original cartoons which have very different lore from the new movie i am learning (probably for good reason). if you’re introducing 2024 optimus to the table, i offer no guidance for you as i am apparently ignorant to his personality and background. if it were me introducing 80s optimus to max, i would predict that optimus would immediately take a father-like stance to max. regardless, in both instances i agree it would be best if max’s past comments did not surface

on further thought, liam might be a good f1 pick as well. american adjacent enough to respect the cheesecake factory, openly loves lightning mcqueen (i imagine this would translate to a respect for optimus), gen z enough to hang w spiderman or marceline or smthn. locking in liam or oscar as my final suggestions, barring some kinda wildcard like yuki maybe ( drinks heavily but pays the bill and does kareoke after??)

wow, you offer so much valuable insight here. first, the optimis situation. in a way, maybe id like to arrange another dinner with all the different eras of spiderman and all the different eras of optimus. see what sort of conclusions that can be drawn from that. but i appreciate your information on 80s optimus and your belief that both would be nice at my dinner. this makes me feel confident in my choice. secondly, wow, youre right liam and oscar are to very good options to invite over. i think liam would really enjoy a dinner with optimus prime because of his admiration for lighting mcqueen, but i think perhaps i want someone a little more experienced in f1, so oscar is really good for this. i think hed be happy to go and his dry sense of humor could be interesting. do we think this cast of characters may be too dry…? arthur and oscar are similarly quiet. 2024 optimus after his coronation as optimus is a little more stoic. i hope he hasnt lost his spry youth. if this was the case maybe i will put max and spiderman back in the mix. spiderman has enough energy and nervous energy for the whole table. oscar or max could fit well in here. yuki would be cool too but i fear his taste for good food may exceed The Factory’s capabilities as a restaurant

i think a multiverse spidey and optimus dinner is a compelling whole different can of worms. not something i think i have enough brain energy to extrapolate on. i very much agree with the yuki assessment. i think one important factor in deciding this situation is how willing someone would be to share an appetizer and i’m not sure that yuki would make that cut either. he strikes me as the kind of guy that would order his own appetizer and eat it completely himself, but this is mere conjecture. another thing that occurred to me is the sheer fatherless energy that will be accumulated at this table. the daddy issues between marceline, max, (i assume) arthur, and peter alone would be a point of bonding. i don’t know what 2024 optimus’ dad situation is like, but if he is also fatherless i can imagine that the dinner might get out of hand. i think that 80s optimus could be a grounding beacon of fatherhood for all of these character, but then again maybe 2024 optimus would as well. in the case that 2024 optimus also has daddy issues, i think you go with oscar. in the event that 2024 optimus is relatively stable on the father front, i think sticking with max is a good plan. we haven’t much discussed marceline but i can imagine some hijinx between her and max. imagine if you will, she slurps the red out of his wine. he thinks it’s water (american serve water in weird glasses, who is he to judge?) he drinks it and gets tipsy and realizes what’s happened. they have a good laugh. if spidey shows up in suit, not as peter, what do we think the odds are that marceline turns his suit white? these are all further factors of consideration.
