Jianu Reeves

I have porn downloaded for whenever I have to travel to China but that's like 2 months a year

3rdSt

If I recall the last time he talked about Legos he was saying how burnt out he was of it.

3rdSt

Doesn't mean he won't read through the comments.

SugmaNard

Lmao dude 2 months is an eternity to not bust a nut let's be real here

Presto

Love you JackJack

Storm Geary

Damn, this episode kinda sucked. This topic gets rehashed every other episode.

Jamie Hind

Fuck yeah 420 AM I RIGHT BOYS

Alex Kostiuk

Hey Jackson why did ep 421 come out before 420?

C

Train was delayed hour and a half and this saved my sanity

Lou Sassle

New Ciri: Yay or Nay?

The Possum King (DillaDong)

My heart stopped when Andrew said he was driving on I-4. Bring back boardwalk burgers one more time!!!

Tony M.

Read Jackson's Christmas post. He explained it

Devon 🦈🤙🍗

Andrew's tripping. 2024 was a good year for games. 2023 is arguably the best year for video games ever so of course the year after is gonna look subpar.

Dry Soap

Honestly thought this was one of the better episodes 🤷‍♂️

Dingus

I still dont understand how anyone could defend Alec Baldwin but i guess cause i just didnt live life from the other perspective? Ive been around guns all my life and still regularly shoot guns, but even if youre not like that or even against guns how could you not recognize that what you are holding is a dangerous weapon/tool that can yes kill things, not double check? It litterally takes not even 2 seconds to open the chamber and see if its a blank or not. Hes a fully grown man that should have been mature and responsible enough to recognize the dangers of pointing a gun at someone regardless if he was acting or not. What if it was a knife and not a gun, and the armorer told him dont worry its a prop its platic and without checking just stabbed people to death?

Jake Wulgar

She’s like 20-30 years older in Witcher 4 and i think she looks fine

Tibsy the Fatty Ratty

The nier series. perfect example of how you can make sexy characters and still have fun ans interesting gameplay.

Lou Sassle

Yeah, I actually thought they did a great job on her design. Don't really understand the criticism of her appearance.

SugmaNard

There's a designated trained human ehos entire job is to just make sure no live ammo is ever on set and they failed that

SugmaNard

Literally if one of his scenes was to shoot the gun at someone for a show or a movie then he still would've shot someone. It would've just been an actor and not some random camera person or whatever. It's literally a prop gun meant to be used as a real gun because it is a real gun. Aforementioned gun never should've had live ammo.

SugmaNard

I don't even see a single criticism anywhere

Dingus

But the basic rule of just check before shooting still applies? When you are handed a gun loaded or not you check it no matter what someone tells you. How would someone still have gotten shot? If you check a gun and see a real bullet in there why in the world would you still press the trigger?

lanirus

fucca yess imma smoke to this hoe #goon!!!

Ryan

Anyone arguing that the end user should not have the onus of responsibility when handling deadly weapons is brain dead. It wasnt a prop gun, it was a real gun with blanks. You are taking responsibility for the outcome the second you have it in your hands. It is ultimately on both the armorer and Alec

Dual

This might be one of the episodes where Andrew had the worst take imaginable on gaming this year. The fact that he says he wants an “experience” then immediately says Wukong was the most generic knockoff, hello?! Tell me you didn’t play the game without telling me. And I know you love Astrobot Jackson, but it was absolutely a paid win by Sony. Anyone with eyes can see that. Calling a game 10/10 then saying it’s basic? Lmao. Nothing will please Andrew. This was a great year for gaming and next year will be even better.

Dual

Any year where a new GTA title comes out is going to make the previous year subpar.

Fueled By Fart Porn

Nine sols should’ve replaced the Elden ring dlc for the GOTY nominees

klongus

Had a winter soldier moment when Andrew mentioned driving down i4

Khârn the betrayer

Again with game of the year 😭 talk about anything else. Bring Doug on or something

SugmaNard

Wipe Doug off your mouth jesus people

I'm so glad that me playing with barbie dolls via pretending they were enslaved to a single barbie for her clothes what lead me to thousands of hours in rimworld as an adult Manifesting through toys ig /j

Western Philosopher

I don’t care that they’re making women in games ugly, since statistically 49% of women in real life have below-average (technically median) looks. That’s just immersive. What I think is weird is how many games in recent years have started making their supposedly cisgendered female characters look unnaturally manly—broad shoulders, narrow hips, square jaws, and other indicators that they’re biologically male rather than just more masculine than the average woman. It’s just strange and unimmersive, since real cisgendered women *don’t* look like that. On a side note, I have heard that this is a concerted effort on the part of game devs to blur the lines between cisgendered and transgendered women in order to make it easier for trans women to pass. Basically, make people forget what physical markers denote biological sex so they can’t tell the difference anymore. Normally I’d chalk this up to the sort of “woke agenda” conspiracy theory that my aunt would share on Facebook, but apparently some game devs, including Neil Druckman, have openly admitted to it. I don’t know if this is true and I don’t care enough to check, since I rarely if ever play new games anyway.

Western Philosopher

It’s probably not the norm, but I definitely know some women who have a similar reaction to seeing hot girls in games and movies that men do when seeing buff guys—they think it’s badass and a form of escapism.

SugmaNard

They use blank ammo which looks like real ammo my dude. I'm an extremely safe gun user I would never point a gun at someone. But if I'm on a movie set acting I'm not gonna check the gun after every fucking scene to see if it's live ammo. You think Keanu Reaves individually inspects every rounds he fires on set to see if it's real or fake? You got gun safety down you just don't know how movies work man.

SugmaNard

They fire 150 fucking rounds in the span of 2 seconds in john wick imagine keanu Reaves individually inspecting each bullet to see if it's a blank or a real bullet each shot. It's just not feasible dude. The solution is to not have real fucking ammo anywhere.

SugmaNard

Shouldn't be up to Alec to determine difference between real and blank rounds even if he did check the gun tbh

SugmaNard

The armorer had also made a slip up in the past when a gun with a live round was accidentally fired on set. No one was hurt. But they obviously never should've been in this business after that

SugmaNard

Idk wukong isn't a knockoff but it is generic. But also unique. Souls games are just way way way fucking oversaturated. I genuinely hope they stop developing them. We need more developers making other games 50 percent of the fucking market is souls game lmao

SugmaNard

Stack bread. Steal. Upgrade. Customize. Race. Missions with lore. Cutscenes. Funny npc dialogue. Cmon man no one hates gta just keep it to yourself lmao.

Dual

I would argue it’s not saturated at all.

Devon 🦈🤙🍗

Sounds like you got caught in the GTA Online loop. Grind grind grind. I'm not a super big fan of the "lore" or funny dialogue. Sorry. I do really hope GTA VI is good tho

bubba

jackson biden

Awwwcrap

Fine, Anthony too.

Ryan

Blank ammo does not look like real ammo. Its either an extra long case crimped together to hold the powder charge, or a paper cap pressed in to retain the charge. It is visually distinct from live ammo in that there is no projectile visible. It takes literally an instant to tell a blank from a live round. I dont think anyone disagrees with you that the armorer is also at fault. She had allowed live rounds on set prior to the death, and wasnt dealt with. Thats very clearly her fault, however Alec was also a producer for the movie, and should have had her removed from the production and didnt. As a staunch anti-gun activist, you’d think Alec would practice what he preaches about responsible gun handling, but instead he simply grandstands and profits off of movies featuring gun violence. Also, with John Wick, i have yet to see anything showing that every time they use a firearm that its all blanks the whole time. Blanks are notoriously unreliable when forced to run in guns not specifically not designed for them, so i am sure they only use blanks for close ups, not the duration of a firefight

manxie

20:00 if that happened I'd fucking nut everywhere

Western Philosopher

I paused the video when Jackson said it wasn’t Alec Baldwin’s fault so I have no clue what they’re about to say next, but you have to understand that he lied about pulling the trigger. I have a (for all intents and purposes) identical revolver. It is not possible for it to discharge without pulling the trigger. He pointed a real gun at another human being and pulled the trigger, violating all of the rules of gun safety at once, and then lied about it through his teeth. That’s why it’s his fault.

Western Philosopher

Only ever playing as attractive characters sounds boring.

Western Philosopher

He also has a long history of smugly and condescendingly lecturing Americans about the dangers of guns and about gun safety, as Hollywood celebrities are wont to do, but when the time came he exhibited neither gun safety nor even the slightest bit of gun knowledge.

Western Philosopher

Also also, it doesn’t matter who hands me a gun and assures me it isn’t loaded, I’m gonna check it myself—*especially* before I point it at somebody. It’s a single action revolver, so it’s as simple as opening the loading gate on the side and looking in each chamber of the cylinder. It would be immediately obvious to even someone inexperienced with guns whether it’s loaded, provided they at least know what a goddamn bullet looks like.

AustinAashiem

Don’t apologize brother you’re 100% right on all marks. As a red-blooded, gun loving, gun tism american like yourself (I’m assuming…) the first rule my paps taught me was you NEVER ever point a gun at somebody, even unloaded, unless your intention is to take their life. Alec baldwin is a fucking moron and an absolute goon and he should be in jail for murder. An absolute abortion of a man.

July Apple

I don't really care but I don't like that they shit on ZZZ cuz it's anime gacha. Like sure it really leans into sexy male and females but the characters are actual real characters with goals and story behind them. They act like all you do is turn on the game and just jerk off. Genshin has such a unique gameplay mechanic to it that I've never seen in video games in the form of elemental reactions. Like there's A LOT of criticism to have about ZZZ, Genshin, Honkai. But to say they are gooner games cuz some of the players are porn brained is very dumb imo. In that case fortnite and valorant are gooner games cuz the community complains they don't have big enough butt's on the new skins

SugmaNard

Like 5+ games came out the 2nd half of last year bro

StoicEyes

Jackson you made a porn game

Epic The planet

If you would accept a chubby dad bod Rambo perhaps you should up your standards. All I've learned from the boys' movie takes is that they have ass taste. There's a reason Jackson had to be beat about for several movies before falling off the starwars train.

Presto

Calling out stoners on episode 420 is rude Jackson

Jesse

Alec was producer and in charge of production. Should’ve had better safety protocols. Also why did they have to shoot a scene where they fire a blank directly at someone. Hollywood has plenty of tricks they can use to make it appear as though you’re shooting at someone without actually doing it. If you’re using a real gun with real ammunition (blanks are still real and can still injure people) you have to take precautions.

Bandos Godsword

Thought Andrew was setting up a boardwalk burgers joke

RippZipp

Jackson I’m sorry, but your argument about women looking attractive in games is retarded. The whole “Well if the girls look hot it encourages sexual harassment of women” or whatever the hell it was? That’s just the “if you can shoot people in games it encourages you to shoot people in real life”. Just dumb. Also, Alec Baldwin should have been locked up, end of story. He was the main producer of the movie, so he sets the safety protocols. He should have, at the very least, checked the ammo to see if they were blanks or not (they really just shouldn’t be using real guns at all, effects can easily reproduce everything needed to make it look like a real gun shot) before even pulling the hammer back. The armorer is partially at fault of course, but he still shot and killed someone. Y’all had some other dumb take in this ep, but I already forgot. Ep was full of atrocious takes today. Hopefully when yall come back it’ll be better.

Cameron

This podcast has become Reddit incarnate

Yoshii Garcia

Massively disagree with Andrew's wukong take.

Red Rocket

Jackson really needs to stay off twitter for awhile. "won't women see a sexy woman in a video game and think this is contributing to me being cat called" no Jackson, no normal person thinks like that, that's how twitter thinks.

Red Rocket

It's a very solid 7.5 maybe even 8/10 game, the only reason it was talked about so much though is because it was drug into the whole dumb culture war BS. I would put it on the same level as Lies of P

YungOwl

Those games are literally just made to milk money from people who want sexy skins on characters 😭😭

YungOwl

It’s both of their fault. Armourer didn’t do her job and Baldwin didn’t double check before he shot. It’s not that hard to understand

Awwwcrap

Why is the argument of people not wanting "ugly" characters always turned into, they just want porn? Maybe you see one or two comments from porn brains on twitter but doesn't mean that's the whole argument. I'm not necessarily into the excessive stuff like from Dead or Alive games or characters like Ivy in Soul Calibur, but appreciate female characters that look cool and/or feminine looking Take Joanna Dark from thw original Perfect Dark for N64. Sure her main outfit was the typical tight spy kit. Her main design wasnt sexual, but still an appealing character. Why is it anytime a female character is trying to fill a dei slot it's always gotta be the most stereotypical version. A lesbian can still be feminine, they dont have to be grizzed buch looking.

SugmaNard

When you chamber check you do see the tip of s bullet. I've had blanks before

SugmaNard

Also in many movies they use real guns with dud ammo. They do have the tech obviously to fake it but many movies don't. John wick notoriously being one of them can't account for all scenes.

Mat'hieo Xanneke

Personally i dont like post release censorship via update. You made that way so commit to it. Second jacksons take of “dont you feel kinda gay jerking off to it cause a dude made it” sounds dumb. What? do you need to do research on who made it to confirm your not gay. And the one time you didnt it turns out a dude made it and now your gay?

Wyatt

Womp Womp

Dingus

Yes it was a revolver you can see the ass and the tip of the bullet. A live bullet has a projectile sticking out of it, a blank is crimped and looks way different. In the end the armorer and alec should have been charged manslaughter at the least, ignorance doesnt change that he shot and killed people. Also Keanu reeves tooks special training before every john wick movie and yes they probably do go through and check every bullet before every scene in john wick because thats their job? Noone got shot on the set of john wick because they didnt allow live ammo on set, they were trained, they all did checks, they were adults and understood the dangers of what they were doing. Its a dumb opinion to think that there's too much ammo to check all of it when thats their job to do so.

Jackson wolf

I hate when I'm watching p*** and I accidentally screenshot some narly shit, :3

Diana Dodson

Brain numbing balatro and rouguelike argument this episode. Merry Christmas gentlemen

Carlos

I know a girl who's really into Genshin Impact. Her appeal of the characters isn't sexual per-say, but she's really obsessed with how "cute" and "pretty" the girls in the game are. Its not gunner shit, its more softcore non-porn for children and teens basically, sure you'll find R34 of Genshin Impact but mostly people are into the cuteness aggression of the game or they're really obessed with beatiful women.

角柱Galaxy_Pleiades

What a great video too end the year with it. With the worst opinions ive ever heard. Well done boys

角柱Galaxy_Pleiades

There is nothing wrong liking Doujin artists. Whats wrong looking up to these people who studied tirelessly to make people and having a fun story in a doujin? Have you ever drawn a person? Or make a plot from begining to end? Making a doujinshi is a lot harder then you think.

SugmaNard

You're just wrong. Any actor they throw on a set should not be in charge of gun safety. Just because it's your motto doesn't mean it's fair to assume it's every actors. If people are negligent people will get hurt. It's why there is an armorer. This could've happened to sydney sweeney, you really gonna be like "AH ERMAH GERD SYDNEY SWEENEY DIDNT CHAMBER CHECK FOR BLANKS TROLOLOLOLOL" Like bro I see your point but it is a lot more unreasonable than you're making it seem

SugmaNard

The armorer should be charged since their job was to make sure the gun was dead. Alec is supposed to be there to film a movie. Not to go through the props on set to check their contents. Actors are often on set for over 12 hours with little rest dude. It just doesn't make sense for Alec to be like "hur dur lemme do someone else's job" he's been doing movies for 50 years bro

SugmaNard

And ESPECIALLY not anyone's else's fault considering it was the 2nd time that armorer fucked up. The armorer and whoever hired them should face problems. Not some fuckin actor who may or may not even understand guns.

Austin

You guys should post an entirely ai episode with your voices during your break 👔🤓

lanirus

just came!

ZombieWolf2508

It's always funny af listening to Jackson complain about porn and calling everyone porn addicted gooners when it was just a few years ago he was trying to develope a porn game. Anyway, you guys are always way too fast to write off people who complain about these things as porn addicted gooners. I don't play zzz, it's boring af imo, but making a character phase out at certain camera angles is just kinda dumb. There's also nothing wrong with wanting to play as an attractive character and most people aren't furiously masturbating while playing a game. That being said, the crowd complaining about unattractive characters in games is just as stupid as the crowd who complains about attractive characters in games. Also, if it's gay to get off to hentai simply because it's made by a guy, then it's gay to get off to almost all porn.

Urethra Burglar

I think there's a big difference between good looking character designs and over sexualized.

EliseR

Ok as a woman who’s played games my whole life there’s a big difference between an attractive character and a hyper specialized one. For example Lara Croft is pretty but she doesn’t constantly pose with her boobs and butt out. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with pretty characters. I think most people do prefer playing with pretty characters (me included) but twirling around with your butt/boobs out is a different thing entirely and makes it feel very catered to a male audience.

Caleb P.

LOTTA porn brains coping in these comments, damn

Connor Arrington

Fuck I really thought Andrew was gonna drop the boardwalk burgers joke when he said I4 I was cheesing to hard

lowkitz

Official Pearl Clutchers Podcast, Merry late Christmas to the official boys, please get a 4th to tell you guys when you're being stupid idiots though because I feel like that was Charlies main function as being someone up to date with internet stuff and video games

Dooney Darko

The hawk tuah effect will hit Jackson soon

Awwwcrap

💯 There's this one JRPG I played as a kid where anytime one of the female characters made the final hit in a battle the victory pose would have the camera zoom in on her butt first looking upwards then swing to her face. It was always odd and one of my least favorite things about anime crap.

Penis master 69420

Bring back penis talk in this podcast I demand more penis talk it has been to long also maybe bathe in milk too

Francisco Romero

Blew my load to quick, now i gotta wait till the 20th

wtthompson

Started listening to the Official Podcast and Patreon Feed back in May 2024 with Episode #1 of the podcast and just got caught up January 4th, 2025. It's been a heck of a ride getting here. Thanks, Jackson, Andrew, Charlie, Kaya, Wendigoon, Oompaville, Connor and all the rest for all your hard work on this show!

Korrupted Tomato

Watching the pile after the break and this’ll one of the rare skips for me :( The ignorance in this one is…evident.

Thomas Burrow

This is the stoner wake up call I was looking for. Thank you Offical team :)

4DAnimal

"we have recorded some things to put up during the break". Y u lyin?

Monochrome Rainbow

“This year was shit for games because only AAA games matter and should be nominated for awards” is a real odd take

FOOT CHAN

I don't know this podcast used to be good, but now it's just 30-year-old men complaining about everything

Dr.Genesect

"this year sucked for gaming because i havent heard of these games" andrew praises persona and critisizes its writing because its for teenages yet doesnt care ab the adult audiance metaphor refanaszio

Dr.Genesect

Never left a angry comment cuz i get it, gaming was for sure better back in the day, but there are tons of good games to this day but major audiances dont gaf

Dreezy

4:22 the thing is they aren’t really saying it out in public. Ofc there are cases of known personalities or even just idiots who have their full dox on their profile, but majority of the ppl upset about it are saying it behind a random name with a pfp like mine just blerting shit into the void and giving it no second thought bc no one knows who tf they are

Ulan Okai

I yearn for this podcast

bubba

well its the 20th

bigwilly

100% it was Alec's fault . You check firearms yourself i don't give a damn who hands it to you you check the gun yourself it takes 2 seconds to cycle a revolver cylinder and even if it's " unloaded" you don't point it at people that's in violation of pretty much every rule of gun saftey

tyler crowley

Wasn’t it supposed to be a blank? And the prop master accidentally put in a live round instead of a blank

bigwilly

It was supposed to be empty but it had a live in the cylinder. Its just a thing thats drilled into anyone who's been around guns and should have been drilled into everyone on set to check the gun your holding even if you yourself watch the guy clear it

tyler crowley

Listening back I forgot how dogshit their opinions of that Reddit post were omg
