Lucifaad, Underworld

–Shin–

When he next gained awareness, he instinctively knew that he was in his mind, looking and waiting for the vials to take effect. From what he could recall, Shattered Limiter alone was an obviously OP gift. Given enough time, he should be able to become the next Satan Class Devil of their race.

But that was the caveat. Enough time. He sincerely doubted that he would get the required time to become the Satan Class Devil without some other help. Hopefully, the other two vials came in handy in those situations.

Also, he was still not sure if the ROB’s definition of Shattered Limiter was the same as–Oh! There it is!

He could feel it. The first vial entering his soul, and affecting it somehow. He could instinctively tell what it was and what it would do to his mind, body, and spirit. Thankfully, the perk applied throughout. Nothing like no physical limits, but he had to manually grow his soul or some other bullshit like that. It was applied across the board, and he was thankful for that. Having read all kinds of horror stories about ROBs and how they like to toy with their isekai experiments, he was glad that he got a nice upgrade.

Moving on to the next one, his eyes narrowed a bit in confusion before they widened in horror.

It was basically May you Live in Interesting Times.

At this moment, those might be the six most horrifying words to him. It was a perk that bent fate around him. Not in his favour, though. No, if the perk was going to bend fate in his favour, then he would have been ecstatic even. No, the perk just ensured that he would live an entertaining life. That his life would be full of important events. They could be good or bad, and knowing what world he was in and what time period it was, they were mostly going to be bad.

Now, he realised why the ROB put the condition of drinking all of them together. He couldn’t have the really OP perk without the one thing that could get him killed the moment he opened his eyes. It was so horror inducing that he couldn't help but curse himself for his shitty luck before moving on.

There really was no point in dwelling on stuff here. Once he was done with all three vials, he could wake up in the real world and start moving about. This world was in a rather nasty time period, and he would prefer to have strength to deal with it than be blasted to oblivion the moment he happened to be in the vicinity of an actual fight.

That was something that had happened before, and he had heard of it down in the slums. Man, the slums were a really good source of information, or maybe they were all just full of it. Both things could be true.

Resolving to investigate more about the information he got from that place, he moved onto the third–

His thoughts ground to a halt, as he realised what it was, or rather, who it was.

Now, he realised what the ROB was talking about when he said he was going to fulfill a dream of Shin’s. Never in his wildest dreams did he expect that it would come true.

On one hand, this was basically the wet dream of all men (straight or gay, it mattered not) who were into a particular Cinematic Universe, and now, it was going to be the reality for him. Or, so he hoped. So, he was really happy.

On the other hand, this third perk could have been something really OP like Invulnerability or a race change into a Kryptonian or something. Alas, he was going to have to accept whatever he got.

Ah! Who was he kidding?! He was ecstatic with the perks here!

The moment awareness returned to him, he instantly realised a few things.

For one, he was no longer leaning on the hard wall. He was resting on something sinfully soft and comforting.

Secondly, there was someone else in the room with him. His hearing could make out the sound of them breathing. He could also sense a source of energy in the room as well. It was faint, and likely just as weak as he was, but it confirmed that whoever it was, they had magic within them.

Cheering for that particularly crucial piece of information, he gingerly opened one of his eyes, and then had to promptly throw both his eyes open. Throwing himself away from them, he saw it was indeed her.

Black Widow. The MCU Version of her, pre-Avengers. In her birthday suit. Looking at him with concern.

She stayed in her position, looking at him with an intense expression, but his focus continued to slip from her face to her breasts. It took a humongous amount of willpower before he scrambled off the floor and gave her the biggest shirt he could find, along with the biggest pants.

“Please, put them on.” He handed her the clothes, making sure his gaze was away from her body. It took herculean effort, but he somehow managed to do it.

Sure, she was his waifu, and her obedience, love, and loyalty to him were guaranteed by phenomenal cosmic power beyond any being in this universe, but he was not that big of a horndog to pounce on her the moment he laid his eyes on her.

Plus, this was the fucking BLACK WIDOW! She must have seen hundreds of men looking at her with such a gaze. What would she think of them if he immediately surrendered to his baser urges the moment he laid eyes on her? She was a spymaster, and he was the average 9-5 employee who had just a few years of experience working as a code monkey, who died an untimely death and was thrust here in the body of someone who was probably destined to die without doing anything significant.

Plus, her name literally had the word WIDOW in it. Even with the cosmic power guarantees, he was not going to risk sticking his dick in crazy without getting a sense of the level of craziness first. His urge to live was stronger than his urge to sink his hands in those absolutely soft looking—

He shook his head as he turned around and waited for her to put on the clothing, as he marvelled at the beauty he had just witnessed. Her transformation into a Devil had healed her of any previous ailments, and also upped her attractiveness to 11.

He froze at that. In this world, in this current iteration of the world anyway, attractiveness without the strength to back it all up was the worst possible thing. His mind started going haywire, as it began conjuring horrific scenario after scenario as she was snatched away from him and–

A hand latched onto him and turned him around, as he found two hands sandwiching his face and pulling him down. He found himself looking straight into the two incredibly beautiful green eyes as she spoke, “Hey! Everything’s alright, okay? I am here now. You don’t have to worry much.”

Then, she rested his head on her chest, and honestly, at the moment, his thoughts were the furthest thing from anything lewd. The warmth in her voice and the real concern he could feel were more than enough to make him relax.

All the stress of being thrown into another world, of being told that he would never be able to see his parents, his friends, or even Mochi ever again, or being told that he was probably going to die soon if he did not drink some shady vials, just came crashing down on him as he felt his entire body go lax and his eyelids becoming heavy.

Hugging her tighter, he just let himself go to sleep, trusting her to hold the fort for just a while.

His eyes slowly fluttered open as he found himself looking up at the same ceiling as he had been waking up under for the past few years, and yet, the familiar looking ceiling did not bring with it a sense of comfort. It only brought panic, as it meant that he was in a crazy world all by–

His thoughts halted as he got up, looking all around his bed in panic, trying to find her, only to stiffen as he heard someone in the kitchen.

Getting up from the bed, he looked down to see that someone had changed his clothes into comfortable ones. Slowly, he opened the door and just slumped as he saw her cooking, of all things.

Turning around, she smiled brightly at him, “Hi! Hungry?”

He smiled in turn, “Yes, please.”

……

….

As they sat down on the floor, as he had no dining table that could be used for two people, both of them looked at each other as they drank the soup she’d made of whatever she could find in the house. He had no idea he even had groceries here.

Must be another thing that slipped from his mind between all this chaos.

For a moment, there was just peace there, with the occasional sounds of soup being slurped, from him, obviously. She probably had enough training to know different ways of eating soup, of all things.

After a while, he set down the bowl next to him before saying, “So, I don’t know how much you know but–”

“I have been changed into a Devil. A supernatural species with a mind boggling number of advantages. I have been healed of everything from my past life. I am bound to you in life and death. I cannot betray you. If you wish to, you can hardcode commands into my mind, and I won’t be able to do–”

“No!” He blurted out before clearing his throat and continuing, “I mean, I wouldn't do that. You are not going to hurt me anyway. I don’t need to warp your mind.

“More so than it has already been warped, you mean?” She asked him with a teasing look on her face.

“Don’t even joke about it. I had no choice in the matter, if you must know.”

She chuckled out loud, the sound melodious to his ears. “I am just joking. Even if that were true, I would not care for it. You are here, I am here, and that is all that matters to me.”

He was silent for a moment before asking, “Doesn’t it bother you? That you were just taken from your world and brought here? This is a really dangerous world.”

“So?” She shrugged. “My previous life was dangerous as well. I wouldn't know if I would wake up or not every time I closed my eyes. As far as worlds go, this trip did come with a lot of benefits.” Her gaze slid to her belly before coming to meet his gaze, making him understand what she was talking about.

The Red Room procedure had taken her ability to have kids from her, and becoming a Devil had healed her of that as well.

“I see,” he nodded. “Then, I won’t insult your decision-making skills. I know they are far better than mine. I think you should know more about this world before we can decide our next step.

She nodded with a serious face, understanding what was at stake. “Yes, Shin. Please begin with our abilities. I was given what was essentially a crash course on this world, but I have to know more about the abilities before I can plan ahead.”

He nodded. “Sure. So, Devils, on paper, at least the ones we are, have some of the most broken ability sets. Supernatural strength, durability, speed, agility, flexibility, and more. An overall physique upgrade. Basically, the weakest Devil can overpower the strongest world from my world. Not so sure about your world and certainly not in this world.”

“Humans can grow just as strong as the strongest Devils here?” She asked him.

Instantly, his mind went to what he knew of Sirzechs and just how much of an anomaly he was before he shook his head. “Not to the same level as the strongest, but there will be some humans in the future who could challenge some of the strongest Devils and come out on top.”

“Future?” She immediately caught on to his words, as she narrowed her eyes at him. “You are from the future?”

“Ah, that. How do I explain that…” His voice trailed off as she glared at him, and it was devastatingly effective as he folded on the spot before continuing.

“Now, don’t be alarmed, but you and your entire world, as well as many other worlds, were just fictions to someone like me. We read about your life, saw you in movies, and overall, have an unhealthy amount of information about you and your life.”

“And you know of this world as well?” It was incredibly unsettling just how quickly she moved on from that fact, making him wonder if ROB had done something to help smooth things over with some of the things that she needed to know.

He made a so-so gesture. “Not that well. I know the broad strokes and who the big bad villains are, but all that is useless because what I saw depicted the future.”

“How far?”

“About 500 or so years into the future. There is also a Civil War brewing right now. One that cannot be stopped. One that acutely has to happen to get a good enough society of the Underworld in the future. Otherwise, all the stereotypes about Devils will remain true until someone amongst us decides to invite ruin and destroy the world.”

She raised a perfectly manicured eyebrow. “Don’t you think that’s a little dramatic?”

“Really?” He raised an eyebrow in turn, before pausing as he realised the most important thing at hand. “Wait! Forget about that! You have to hide yourself.”

He said before he began pacing in front of her.

“What? Why?”

“In this world, the more attractive you are, the bigger of a target you paint on your back. In this world, we are akin to ants to the really powerful beings, and you are supernaturally beautiful, even to supernatural beings like us.”

“Aww. Thank you!” She stood up and hugged him.

Looking down at her, “You don’t understand. They will take you away, and they are cruel beings. I don’t know what we can do to–”

She just smiled at him, kissed him on the nose before whispering, “Relax,”

The voice sent shivers down his spine, something she realised before she outright disappeared from his sight.

He flinched, looking all around as he went around the house looking for her, before coming back to check on the bowls to confirm if she really was here or not.

Ha! You should see the look on your face! I am here, you idiot.

His head jerked as he heard a voice in his head, before his eyes widened in realisation.

A moment later, she appeared in front of him, and he exclaimed in absolute relief, “You can enter my mind?”

“Yes. Something about a familiar or waifu space that I can occupy inside your soul. Very romantic, by the way. I think that’s the closest someone can come to your very soul, and that makes me very happy.”

He just smiled, sighed in relief before hugging her.

Now, that was a game changer, and he thanked ROB right then and there for that.

Yes sweet mind space except if she ever comes out she will have to kill all witnesses unless they reach ultimate class of power.
