So having written up Horrifically Overpowered class features for every Pathfinder 1e Core class (and their Unchained variants), beginning with Horrifically Overpowered Fighter Class Features, it's time to move on to Base Classes. (That fighter article covers why I still do Horrifically Overpowered products and articles, and gives the Horrifically Overpowered Class Feature feat to access these class features.) I checked to make sure Patrons were still enjoying these... and I got a lot of encouragement and no one voted against it, so... the Alchemist!

Paying members of this Patreon are still receiving exclusive articles covering the Hybrid classes (in progress), and eventually the Occult Classes. They also get access to the Index of Horrifically Overpowered Content, which I will update every time a new Horrifically Overpowered products or article goes up, be that for Pathfinder 1e, Starfinder 1e, or any other system.

Horrifically Overpowered Alchemist Class Features

You access these class features with the Horrifically Overpowered Class Feature feat (see the Fighter article, or Index).

(Judge this Horrifically Overpowered alchemist by his size do you? Art by grafik_art)

Horrifically Overpowered Alchemist Class Skills (Horrifically Overpowered): Using secret catalysts, complex reagents, and proprietary formulas, you can adjust how your mind and body are aligned with specific alchemical principles. Each day when you prepare your extracts, you can also adjust some of your skill points. You can reduce your ranks in any or all of your alchemist class skills (though never below 0 ranks), or increase your ranks in any or all alchemist class skills (though not to more than a total number of ranks than your class level). The total number of ranks you can have in locations other than their originally assigned skills at any one time is equal to your Intelligence bonus times your alchemist class level.

(To use this ability, assign your skill ranks at each level as normal. Each day, you can have up to your Int bonus x class level moved around with those ranks assigned to alchemist class skills.)

Horrifically Overpowered Alchemist Weapon and Armor Proficiencies (Horrifically Overpowered): You can draw and throw a bomb as a a single attack action, or one attack out of a full attack action. You do not provoke attacks of opportunity from drawing things out of your worn gear, or any thrown attack with a weapon you are proficient with.

Horrifically Overpowered Alchemy (Horrifically Overpowered): Your bombs, extracts, and mutagens do not provoke attacks of opportunity to create, retrieve, or use.

You receive a pool of alchemy points, equal to your Intelligence bonus x your alchemist level. You can use alchemy points equal to an extract's level +1 to use any extract in your formula book without having to prepare it in advance. You can use alchemy points equal to the dice of a bomb to create and throw a bomb. You can use 20 alchemy points to brew a mutagen as a standard action (though you still cannot maintain more than one mutagen at a time).

Horrifically Overpowered Brew Potion (Horrifically Overpowered): You can brew potions in 1/10th the normal time. Brewing a potion costs you 10% less than normal. When using a potion you brewed, you can draw and drink it or draw and apply it to an adjacent creature as a move action, which does not provoke an attack of opportunity. You can turn 4th, 5th, and 6th level alchemist extracts you know that target one or more creatures or objects into potions, even though potions are normally limited to 3rd level or lower.

Horrifically Overpowered Throw Anything (Horrifically Overpowered): Your thrown ranged attacks do not provoke attacks of opportunity. You can make thrown ranged attacks with melee weapons with which you are proficient. Add both your Strength modifier and Dexterity modifier to the attack and damage of such attacks. They do the same damage die and type as when they make melee attacks. Such attacks have a base range increment of 30 feet.

Horrifically Overpowered Alchemist Discoveries (Horrifically Overpowered): Each time you gain an alchemist discovery (including from feats), you gain an additional alchemist discovery. You can apply two discoveries that affect bombs to a single attack, rather than just one.

Horrifically Overpowered Poison Resistance (Horrifically Overpowered): You are immune to all poisons.

Horrifically Overpowered Poison Use (Horrifically Overpowered): When you use a poison, you can have it's save DC to be it's normal DC, or 10 +1/2 your alchemist class level + your Int bonus.

Horrifically Overpowered Swift Alchemy (Horrifically Overpowered): Once per day, you can do 8 hours worth of brewing potions and/or crafting alchemical items as a swift action. You can apply poisons, oils, and extracts to a weapon as a swift action.

Horrifically Overpowered Swift Poison (Horrifically Overpowered): You can apply or remove poisons, oils, and extracts to a weapon as free actions you can take up to five times in a round. This is so fast, you can choose to apply such things to a weapon after seeing what effect an attack with it has, and adding the poison, oil, or extract as a free action immediately afterward has the same effect as if you had applied it in advance.

Horrifically Overpowered Persistent (Horrifically Overpowered): You can decide, round by round, if you are under the effects of any mutagen (or option that functions as a mutagen) or not. You have no limit of duration. This does not increase the number of mutagens you can have in effect at a time.

Horrifically Overpowered Instant Alchemy (Horrifically Overpowered): You can use instant alchemy as a move action. You can do 8 hours worth of work on brewing potions as a standard action.

Horrifically Overpowered Grand Discover (Horrifically Overpowered): You get two grand discoveries.
