So in recent weeks I've been teasing some bigger projects that I've been working on in the background and developing ideas for. Well the one I'm much more excited about has been in HARDCORE production for the past week: Sourcing and building costumes, playing games (through tech issues) and writing the script... in a day. Yeah, let's just say that I had most of the important stuff already laid out in my head. And the best part about this, I've just finished shoot 1/2!

Two Shoots?) Yes, I was hoping to get the entire thing today but that was clearly not going to happen as soon as I started, due to nothing more than the pure amount of shit that has to be shot. You can see my script on the TV screen in the image included this week, it's only 4 pages but the're all blooming with colour. The more colour, the more on camera stuff needs to be shot. That chunk of yellow was my last shot of the day and it was by far the biggest pain in the ass. As you can see, I had to build a lean-to tripod just to get the correct angle on the green screen. Nailed it in the end though (I think, we'll find out once I film the other character in the shot tomorrow). Despite my best efforts to avoid masking anything in this (due to it being a pain in the ass) I'll still have one or two shots to mask because dickhead moved himself too far into the screen at times so... remember that frame by frame shit I did for Sly? I'll have to do that now.

The Bad News...) Due to the elongated filming and extra crap that will have to be done in this, I'm quite uncertain about Early Access for this video. It'll be done in time for next week, no problem but in time for Early Access is a different story at this stage. A 4 page script would normally be a 2 day edit tops, with some free time of a night to rest the brain. But this is the work of 5-6 pages, normally a 3 day experience and given I can't start editing until Friday (AUS Time) and the video has to go up on Tuesday (AUS TIME) then... I just don't see it if I'm being perfectly honest BUT we'll see what happens.

Other Crap) I wasn't too happy with the response to this week's discussion video to be honest. Either my branding of those videos isn't up to scratch OR people just don't want that kind of content from the channel which sucks. I love doing those videos and the cheating one did well enough. Don't know what to do there. Beyond that and this video though, I've pretty much got plans through until the end of the year, minus a few blank spots with Top 10's, Discussions and a review. The rest is sorted, I'm not taking a break in September like I did last year, as much as I think I need it. The set of 4 videos that were supposed to be out by now and got pushed back to September, I've dropped one of them so there is only 3 left to get done: The first is ready for editing, the second needs to be written and the final will write itself so, I think I can get them out quickly enough to begin working on a Week Long Special for October but... more on that some other time! ;)

Thanks so much for reading and EXTRA thanks for supporting the channel. This passion project was fully funded by you guys here on Patreon so I really hope you all enjoy it and with that, I hope you have a great fucking day, cheers!

What responses where you expecting from the video? Correct me if I'm wrong, but all you really said along the lines was "just comment". Plus YouTube comments can get a bit "random" at time. I've been meaning to post a comment on that video, but with having time to write a long serious comment and not feeling like the comment is going to benefit, that hasn't happened yet. If you were expecting some better responses, then it may have been better to explains near in the end of the video what you were hoping for. Maybe even say these comments could be looked at in a follow up video. I honestly liked the video and it defiantly made me appreciate more how much they benefit while playing games and the experience would be less enjoyable without them (plus other factors). My grip with the video was it was a bit too long. The "cheating" video was great because you dived into different media. In the music video, the points you looked into where great, just the same topic about music got a bit stale near the end. Maybe the video just needed to be shorter or the categories needed to be spiced up a bit. The idea for these kind of videos is great, but need rework. My advice would be to perhaps make a quick YouTube video and explain how you felt about the music video and ask for feedback. You might get some better feedback from that instead of Patreon. Keep up the great work Jak.

Well what I meant more was simply the success of the video over comments etc. Viewer response was actually great, maybe what I meant to say was "video success" instead is all. But you make a good point though it can be hard structuring topics like these into shorter videos, without running out of time to talk. But thanks for the feedback, I'll keep it in mind. :)
