Enter Miko Ino; she’ll definitely add some laughs to the already funny cast. Don’t know why the sub didn’t include it, but what I remember from the dub is that the flyer states that she intends to implement a strict dress code, while also having boys shave their heads lol. Ishigami’s statement at the end there about Ino is spot on.

The show is great, but it's VERY talky so could be tough for reactions, and has some uncomfortable moments, notably a character who makes awkward comments towards underage characters. There are other Shaft shows that don't have these problematic elements, most famous one is probably madoka magicka. Their style is like nothing else. I recommend getting something by them on here eventually, really iconic studio that doesn't put out a ton of stuff

The other guy summed it up pretty well, but in short Lots of very uncomfortable ‘jokes’ involving pedophelia, incest, and sexual assault I will say, it’s well made, and the books aren’t nearly as off putting. It’s one of those anime that everyone has to try, and most won’t like.

Seconding that Monogatari may have some big turnoffs for you (as much I enjoy it myself for its narrative, writing, and incredible visual creativity), but even if you never watch it I highly recommend checking out the soundtrack. Huge number of great tracks with insane variety.

Closest thing we'll get to monogatari is monogatari-at-home (rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai). Which is an amazing show in its own right, fits if we want another rom com

idk if you noticed but this episode's ending finally showed Miko turning towards Kaguya, whereas before she never turned because she hasn't been introduced yet, just a small detail

The girl who you've noticed is always in the background spying on Kashiwagi and her boyfriend actually makes her first proper appearance at 13:40, though briefly. Her time to shine has not yet come though.

Man this series is great. I've watched and rewatched it and still notice little things. It's not super relevant but you asked for what the trumpet poster says so I thought I'd post some translations. In the scene at 18:10, the headline for the trumpet poster just says 定期演奏会のお知らせ which is something like "regular recital update" or "periodic recital news" As for Miko's campaign flyer it goes The top reads something like "I Iino Miko, for the benefit of protecting a healthy an wholesome school environment and to create an even better Shuuchiin Academy, promise to enact the changes bellow." 1. Boys will shave their heads and girls will wear braids. Skirts are 10cm bellow the knees. Accessories are prohibited. 2. Bringing phones to school is prohibited. 3. Personal belongings will be searched once a week
