I think Dix is a good villain, because even if he's like "I have this cursed blood, it makes me crazy blah blah" it at least gives an interesting set up for why he is messed up the way he is. No sympathy for him but at least makes him a more interesting villain. The rest of the hyporcrite speech and every thing else just boils down to everyone both friend and foe telling Bell he can't be seen supporting monsters, and then this episode ends with him in public, and in front of the person he admires most, throwing his arms up to protect a rampaging monster. I know it's the cringey "girls picking up Bell" show, but I enjoy when this show actually digs into the fantasy world dilemmas and dungeon stuff and tries to take a serious swing at those aspects. It doesn't bother me if it's dumb one episode and then trying to actually be serious the next, as long as they make it interesting enough

Everyone will be a hypocrite at one point in their life or another. But then sometimes you learn and adapt because situations change. That's just nature.
