Loved the episode! I think the seed of destruction created the distortion? It’s the seed that broke down the barriers of the three worlds that we saw earlier on where the visords were involved if that makes sense? 🤷‍♂️ but then why take the soul kings power to do the same thing? I really like the idea of Soken being the Oppenheimer of the Quincy… just wish it was set up more clearly. Aizen bankai?!! 🫰

I don't think the Seed of Destruction is a "bomb" that's meant to be "detonated" in order to collapse the world. Instead I think of it as an "engine" or a "catalyst" or a "moderator" that's meant to stimulate the collapse.

Eternity

The "Seed of Destruction" could just be a source of power or energy to fuel the growing distortion. If they are going the Hogyoku route, it could be that it is manifesting Yhwach's desire to return to the primordial world. Yhwach says "To the old world of never-ending chaos... The seed blooms... Become an offering to chaotic tranquility." The distortion below then grows larger in the shape of a flower. This read to me like his grand plan was to grow the distortion until it overtakes everything, rather than cause some massive explosion.
