The explanation of the way for humans to live that long was actually skipped in the anime's previous seasons. The explanation came in the novel during the church vs tempest arc. Humans are actually able to evolve into higher 'tier' humans through cultivation of their body and mind. (Cultivation is a method that requires individuals to grow stronger manually by training ones skills, learning and mastering arts, gathering energy, fighting strong opponents, and building up experience to cultivate their body and Mind, pushing themself to break their own mental barrier to awaken.) It first goes from normal Human, to Human Sage/Enlightened/ (the human becomes a Demi-spiritual life-form; their aging slows, they have more magicules, they become much stronger, etc.). All the officers of the Holy Knights are Sages. A human Sage is the human version of being a Majin for monsters. Then it goes from Sage to Saint. Human Saints no longer age. More precisely there's an in between stage between Sage and Saint called Incomplete Saint where the human has become more than a Sage but isn't a full complete Saint yet. Becoming a full Saint means that you have become a full Spiritual Life Form, though one with a mortal body. Here are the Saints you have seen so far and that have been confirmed to be Saints in the anime: - Granbell Rosse (complete Saint) - Gazel Dwargo (the dwarf king)(complete Saint) - Hinata Sakaguchi (in the church vs tempest arc, aka when she fought Rimuru, she had just recently become a complete Saint, but her body hadn't yet acclimated to it. Unlike monster whose evolutions are quick, those of humans need time for the body to catch up to the new tier of power of the soul.) - Saare (the short leader of the Three Battlesages in the Church; he lost vs Diablo. He's an incomplete Saint.)

Yeah i also do not believe Yuuki is under strict control, i reckon we have another fake control, like Millim, situation going on. The part of the ED i find interesting is the whole symbolism of the hourglass and sand falling out. It feels like her time is running out.

Nah i feel like Yuuki is pullin a Milim. I feel like yoymu got it right. So the 7 Days Clergy from last season were being given Immortality from Luminus. Then Luminus took Hinata as her favorite and they were worried she'd stop giving then energy, hence the fuckery they pulled. Granville is the OG of the Seven Days Clergy. Thats why hes that old.
