List layout, Top sites, Microsoft Edge release and more! (Patreon)
Content
After finishing the huge migration few weeks ago, it's time for some new features :). Make sure you have 21.4 version installed and let's get started!
List layout - when you need to fit A LOT of pages into a single group
There is already several group layouts available but they all have thumbnails, which takes a lot of space. The List layout is here to fix this problem!
To activate it, right click group name and select "Edit group". Then in the "Group layout" section choose "list" option.
Top sites - let the browser manage your most used pages!
This is an experimental new Group type that is not managed by you, but by your browser.
For example, if you visit "about:home" page in Firefox, or "about:new-tab-page" in Chrome, you are presented with page links. My addon can now read this list and show it to you as a "Top sites" group.
The main issue is that you can't edit it from my addon and you have to visit the browser specific page (mentioned above).
To activate this feature, create new group and in the left side select tab "Top Sites". Then enable "Show Top Sites in this group" checkbox and approve the optional permission.
Microsoft Add-ons store presents, "Group Speed Dial"
I'm proud to announce that my biggest addon has been approved and released for Microsoft Edge. This follows the successful release of Scroll Anywhere, Auto Highlight and Private Notes addons.
It was already possible to install it from Chrome store though, but it's probably better to install it from Microsoft Edge Add-ons store directly.
Note that Edge disables addons if they are overriding New tab page, so you need to enable it manually after installation on this page:
edge://extensions
(more info: Why does Microsoft Edge turn off extensions I've installed?)
More features
There is actually few more features I would like to mention, namely:
- new option to "Center dial names (including favicon)" in the Options page / Dials
- Pro version now allows you to add multiple "selected tabs" to your dials page. Use Ctrl + click to select multiple tabs and then click the toolbar icon and select "Add X tabs to dials". Before it would select all opened tabs in the current window so this is a big help if you have many tabs opened and you want to bookmark only some of them.

PS: Sneak peak 21.5 version :)
Locked groups feature imminent...
