Option 2 all the way. I'm pretty sure Thad would also realize that time moves much faster here due to the video of her disappearing and popping back. And thanks to having a super computer for a brain he could probably figure out the time difference by using her estimated age, then proceeds to break her with pleasure over weeks or months in Limbo while only taking a couple seconds back on earth. My reason for that is simple this is a golden opportunity for a massive power up in magic and learning from Illyana on how to use it so he could face Selene on more even ground. It would also make Limbo a Hyperbolic Time Chamber tool they could use when time is short on earth.
