It was posted last week, why is it posted again? Surely it should be Castrovalva 3+4 with Four to Doomsday 1+2...?

"I'm an ignorant old Doctor and I've made a mistake.", The Doctor, "Logopolis" I like this story - not the getting rid of Tom part. Chris "H" (don't forget the H) Bidmead was the writer and also the story editor for this one and there is a bunch of accurate technical terminology (e.g. the mention of bubble memory) in this story and that's quite nice for this science-geek viewer. But what a body count! Many directly by the Master but we can just imagine all the people involved when the black entropy field sweeps over and blanks out parts of the Universe - poor Nyssa, poor Tegan. I really like the character of the Monitor in this story. His whole world and plan and the whole Universe is breaking down and he stays really stoic and keeps trying to help out. "I envy you your TARDIS, Master.", "Excellant, Doctor. Envy is the beginning of all true greatness.", The Doctor and the Master, "Logopolis" So nice to see the callback to the 4th Doctor's companions in the regeneration scene. In "The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot", Moffatt was haunted by various classic companions - a callback to these visions. Now, the big lever with the red bulb on the TARDIS console. This frequently gets used to open and close the TARDIS doors but in this story it activates the TARDIS flight mode. I am reminded of "An Adventure in Space and Time" where the "William Hartnell" character says that the show should be seen to be consistent in the use of the controls or the kiddies would notice. I noticed! We've obviously seen Peter in some New Who era stories, but he really does look so young when he pops up. There's a nice (short) video of David Tennant reacting to the behind-the-scenes footage of this 4/5 regeneration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFXhXt3TaDY "He was the Doctor all the time.", Nyssa, "Logopolis" Thanks for your wonderful post-episode thoughts.

There’s a two week early access tier and four week early access tier. If you’re on the higher tier you will get both posted. You can ignore the one you have already watched if that’s the case. Neither of which should have gotten Four to Doomsday though.

Hi Jess. Just as a thought, for a long time now I have been wondering if you would be interested in the BBC series of All Creatures Great and Small, which was the first series that really brought Peter Davison to the small screen prior to his role as The Doctor, and the role that everyone over here in the UK was very familiar with him playing, which was as a junior vet, Tristan Farnon, in a practice in rural Yorkshire in the 1930s that was run by his older brother Siegfried. The series revolved around the practice and the newcomer to the Yorkshire Dales life, James Herriot and were based on the books written by James Alfred Wight - pseudonym James Herriot - and were based around his own experiences and the people portrayed are also based upon the real people that were his friends, family and colleagues and some of the absolute characters that were sometimes the joys and sometimes the trials of his day-to-day life. As far as I know, absolutely nobody reacts to it as it is a outside genre and not an adventure series, nearer a lighthearted drama series. If it is not what you would consider for a reaction then maybe something for your own viewing when you've time to relax away from shooting videos. Anyway, it lays some context for what us British viewers were familiar with Peter playing and why the headlines at the time were "From Vet to Time Lord". The Production Unit Manager on ACGAS was John Nathan Turner and his knowledge of Peter is what gained him the role of The Doctor. The very first episode is called 'Horse Sense'. Peter wasn't in the very first, but was introduced in the second episode. Robert Hardy played Siegfried, Christopher Timothy played James and Carol Drinkwater was Helen Alderson. There's also plenty of dogs! I hope you find a copy and give it a go anyway. I hope that you enjoy your holiday. Take care.

Chronologically, now is as good a time as any to watch K9 & Company, if you haven't already. As I recall, the original transmission was between these two seasons.
