It's the end but the moment's been prepared for

That was some good timing :)

Why has this been posted again? We got this last week with Castrovalva 1+2.

Yay! Goodbye Fourth Doctor, you were fabulous and iconic. Hello Fifth Doctor, my favorite of the Classic Who TV* Doctors! Good stuff is a-coming. Can't wait to see what you think of this new era of the show. * Not counting the Eighth Doctor, who is mostly in books and audiodramas.

When I was a very small child and couldn't sleep, I'd watch this show on late night reruns on PBS which stared a very scary man with a long scarf and a cool girl with long hair and a knife who fought people. Leela made more of an impact on me back then than the Doctor in a time when I was too young to even be able to read the title card to know the name of the show I was watching. That's part of why she's my favorite of Four's companions.

You’re looking at two different tiers. Early access (2 weeks) and early EARLY access (4 weeks)

The slow realization that this was a regeneration episode was so so good. I'm excited for your Fourth Doctor Review. The era's so long, it may take a while for you to collect all your thoughts, so take your time with it. Enjoy your break!

This definitely was the most unique way for the Doctor to regenerate. Now it's on to the Doctor's own father-in-law era. (I'm sure you know that David Tennant is married to Peter Davison's daughter... the time wimeyness of that still boggles my mind). As for my favorite Fourth Doctor companion? Leela. I mean, they were all amazing, but as a kid I loved Leela (I grew up watching Doctor Who on PBS back in the 1970s). She was so fierce and nothing scared her. Louise Jameson was amazing in that role.

I'm always a bit amazed that Nyssa isn't UTTERLY TRAUMATIZED about the fact that the Master is basically running around in the corpse of her dead father. I know TV was different back then, but wow, so dark.

I’m curious if it isn’t something that fully occurred to the writers whilst they were penning the story. It kind of feels like one of those Icebox Scenes as Hitchcock called them, something that “hits you after you’ve gone home and start pulling cold chicken out of the icebox” as he described. But yeah, quite miraculously, Nyssa isn’t UTTERLY TRAUMATIZED by the Master essentially using her father’s dead body as a meat puppet. Quite, quite dark.

"It's the end...But the Moment has been prepared for...." Interesting thing, througout the 4th Doctor's Era, there had been times where he had been hanging by stram beams or ropes high up...like a preview of what's to come for him... You are gonna need at least a month to get a 4th doctor review put together! Seven years is a long reign!!! Cardboard Master Stand-up at 18:33
