Black Mirror: 6x01 Joan is Awful: who do you think was "playing" Joan in Cate Blanchett's version of the reality?

Thomas Corp

Rebels: Question 1: A wonderful friendship emerged between Rex and Kanan. Any further thoughts as to how that friendship evolved and how the show earned the development in an organic way? Question 2: It’s interesting with the Inquisitorius in that there are often discrepancies between their titles and the hierarchy. For example, the Seventh Sister is the more dominant in her scenes with the Fifth Brother, yet we also saw in the Obi-Wan show that the Fifth Brother was right hand man to the Grand Inquisitor and was able to order around the Third Sister prior to the Grand Inquisitor’s incapacitation, despite the differences in rank. I suspect that the unclear nature of it all is on some level, deliberate to create confusion and infighting so there would never be a united front against either the Emperor or Darth Vader, not that any of them would stand a chance even if they tried. What’s your thoughts on the Inquisitorius and their ranking system, and how clear or unclear do you think it is? Question 3: Princess Leia’s appearance in this show is a major highlight. What’s any further thought’s you have on Leia’s appearance and Julie Dolan as Leia, as well as any thoughts on how her performance ends up being a perfect balance/halfway point between Vivien Lyra Blair as little Leia in Obi-Wan and dear Carrie Fisher? Question 4: Season two begins the greater diving into the backstories/characters of the Shady Bunch. Chief among them, yours and my favorites of the Shady Bunch, Hera and Zeb respectively. What’s any further thoughts or comments you have on the spotlight/focus that Hera and Zeb especially have gotten in the second season of Rebels? The Walking Dead: Dead City: The overall tone of the show has felt grimmer than the main series. What’s your opinion on the tone of this compared to The Walking Dead, or even the other spin-offs? Fear the Walking Dead: Question 1: A big emotional highlight of the season was the return to King County. Any further thoughts on the closure that Morgan gains from finally putting Duane to rest, and how ultimately said closure comes with the cost of Grace’s life? Question 2: You stated that you weren’t all that fond of Dwight and Sherry deciding to go their separate ways, especially as you stated that you weren’t happy with the decision being made right away, or at least close to it. Supposing for sake of argument that the two of them had let things settle for a while before deciding on the parting of the ways, and say they still came to the same conclusion, how would you have felt about that? Question 3: Shrike and Crane emerged as characters you thoroughly despised, a sentiment I wholeheartedly shared, and that’s coming from me, and you know me and my overwhelming love of villains. Where exactly would you say they rank in terms of your most detested Walking Dead characters? I know, if I recall correctly, you’ve said that Spencer was up there high if not number one, and there was, I believe you said it was Dawn who was right up there with him. Would you say Shrike and Crane are at or around that level, or would they have aways to go before they made it that high on the list? Secret Invasion: Question 1: You have stated in the past how something you’ve loved about the MCU is that each film and show has its own tone/feel. What’s been your thoughts on the tone/feel to this show thus far? Question 2: I’ve heard some chatter about some people pissing and moaning about the opening credits sequence. Bulk of the criticism seems to be because it’s AI generated and supposedly “Looks AWFUL!” I’m scratching my head wondering what if anything I missed, and I’m asking, “What’s so awful about it?” What has been your own opinion on the opening credits sequence? Star Trek IV The Voyage Home: Question 1: An emotional aspect of the film is Spock becoming his old self again following his resurrection. What’s your further thoughts on how the film handled the conclusion of the plotline of Spock’s death and resurrection? Question 2: As you discovered, Voyage Home has quite a bananas, crackers, and nuts plot that, against all odds, works perfectly. In his review of the film, Roger Ebert famously declared the same thing, going so far as to write, “What happens in San Francisco is much more interesting than what happens in outer space, and this movie, which might seem to have an unlikely and ungainly plot, is actually the most elegant and satisfying Star Trek film so far.” Anything further you care to say on the plot of the film and how it is such a beautiful story creating what many fans consider to be one of the best Star Trek films, if not the best? Star Trek V The Final Frontier: This film is, along with the Motionless Picture viewed as the weakest of at least the original series films. One big complaint about this film is that due to Shatner’s ego and hairpiece directing and having a hand in the script, it shifts back some to again being The Captain Kirk Hour, Featuring Spock and Bones, And the Rest. That being said, the film does have some good character moments for the main crew, such as the viscerally heartbreaking scene of Bones and his dad, Sulu being mighty impressive as he always is, and especially the romance between Uhura and Scotty, which I am fully with you on demanding more material about that. What further thoughts do you have on the moments the crew gets in this film, even if they may not be quite as prominent as they were in the two preceding films? Top Gun Maverick: Question 1: Bob emerged as a standout character, and I agree as he and Phoenix were my two favorites of the new characters. Anything further you wish to say about Bob? Or do you wish to wait for the spin-off film, Top Gun: Phoenix and Bob or alternatively Top Gun: Bob and Phoenix? (Which if Paramount has any brains, they’ll make that film happen, and that I will go to see in the theater.) Question 2: A most emotional part of the film was Iceman’s scenes. Any further thoughts you have on Iceman in the film, and how they got Val Kilmer back for this film? Question 3: Something that hindered my enjoyment of the film was being completely unable to suspend disbelief that Maverick is still active in the Navy at the rank of captain after, presumably, close to forty years of service, when realistically, he should have been forcibly retired by the time the film takes place. My dad said much the same when I asked him about it, years back when the trailers for this were released, and finally seeing the film, it kept pulling me out of it. One, what’s your thoughts on Maverick still being in the Navy and the narrative explanation given? Two, has that ever happened to you? By that I mean, has there ever been a case where you have an inability to suspend disbelief to the point that you can’t properly enjoy the film or show? If so, what would some examples be? Question 4: Like the first film, the romance plot felt superfluous, like the only reason it’s there is to give Maverick a woman to fight for, and there’s the additional issue of the interchangeable love interest trope in that Charlie wasn’t even mentioned as to what happened to her. Then again, on the plus side, this time there’s no scene of him following a lady into the women’s restroom, which again, yes, I am going to keep harping on that. You stated you had a much better time with the romance plot this time round. I’m curious could you go more in detail about what you liked about the romance plot, you know, beyond the absence of Maverick following a lady into the women’s restroom? Question 5: Any further thoughts on how the film tackled the subject of Maverick and how over thirty years later how he still has not fully recovered from or processed the grief and trauma of Goose’s death, more specifically how the film addresses how the toxic male macho bullshit mentality of “Be a man. Suck it up, get over it” was truly harmful to him? Question 6: It’s mentioned that Maverick promises Carole on her deathbed that he will prevent Rooster from becoming a pilot to avoid Goose’s fate. I thought for sure that the film would build toward Maverick revealing this to Rooster and it never happened leaving me feeling a trifle let down. Let’s say for sake of argument that this was revealed to Rooster, how do you feel he would have reacted to and/or processed such a revelation?

With the fourth doctor, which kind of doctor/companion dynamic do you think you seem to gel with more now you’ve seen a few companions with him?
