Start with something not connected to the show: the blue on your nails is nice, and it complimented the yellow of your hoodie very well. Not important to the show, of course. Killing it with the color coordination game though, Jess. This was another stand-out episode. You admit when you get spoiled, I will do the same. Last night, I’m on youtube, and I see a thumbnail for a freshly uploaded video that blatantly spoiled something in this. On the other hand, it did tip me off the episode was available to watch last night, which, that helped me as I was at work all this morning. Specifically, I was spoiled by what happened to Allen. The full context remained unknown until seeing the episode. I was happy to see Allen however briefly, though I got thrown by the title, a cute touch though it was. Your reaction to what happened to him got me. You and I are curious about the leader of the council. Though an initial thought of him is, “TRAITOR, thy name is Prime!!” (Then again, he was also the Predator, so...) You’re thinking something’s being held against him, I wonder if he did what he did to lull the stoolie into a false sense of security. I also had the same thought about Mark and Amber having sex. My thought being, “Given how graphically brutal and realistic this series is, that Man of Steel coital debate outside the eatery in Mallrats might be something you guys should talk about.” I got a laugh how you had something of a similar thought. William continues to be great. Interesting plotline of Rudy experiencing things for the first time. And fear can be a good thing, like Twelve said, “Fear is a superpower.” or the saying for those of the Sith, “Fear, fear attracts the fearful… the strong… the weak… the innocent… the corrupt. Fear, fear is my ally.” The heart broke for Debbie. Like you said, the reaction the one guy from the group had makes sense. He needed to fucking retract that bit about Debbie should have known. The shit that Debbie’s dealing with, this episode, I vented, “Show, I really don’t need this. I swear to God I do not need this in my life. I mean, you’ve now put Debbie through, let me make sure I have this straight! We’ve witnessed Debbie’s life be upended! Her marriage torn asunder! Her son was traumatized and gaslit as she was, and he was beaten within an inch of his life! Now he’s off to college, and she’s all alone! Not to mention a support group that could have gotten her help has shunned her! And let me see, what ELSE can we PILE on!?! Is there any more SHIT we can pile on, to the TOP of the mountain of TRAUMA, GRIEF and GUILT that poor sweet Debbie has been subjected to!?! IS IT POSSIBLE!?!” As I am a skeptical Slytherin sort, same as you, I was wary about Mark being taken off world. I got a massive pit in my stomach seeing the planet looked not in danger, and I knew who the monarch was going to be before it was revealed, your own reaction to that being most superb. Like you said, we are now going to have a can of worms about to get popped open, though no word if with it, Omni-Man managed to obtain photos of Spider-Man. Thank you for another excellent Invincible reaction, Jess.
