Sorry to hear you didn’t have the best of nights that caused the soreness that you described. Whilst not physical, I had a bizarre feeling when I woke up this morning myself. I don’t know what as I never remember my dreams, but it was not pleasant. I think I might have had half a panic attack as a matter of fact. Therefore, you have my sympathies, Jess. You also have my sympathy concerning the copyrighted music. You crossed my mind whilst watching those sequences as I knew those would prove troublesome, editing-wise. Now to the episode of Invincible. Startling to jump back to the one scene from last season. I am most grateful we did not revisit that one line as I’m still not sure if I have the emotional strength to revisit that line just yet. As someone who is not familiar with the source material, I can’t speak to any spoilers. I will say your thoughts on Omni-Man feeling remorse and guilt are valid. Perhaps, but it’s hard to feel too sorry for him on that. I don’t blame Mark for having the reaction that he did, especially when he saw Omni-Man had a new wife and kid, which led me to say, “How could you do that? No, seriously, HOW could you do that? The sheer mechanics of it are mind-boggling.” I suppose I may be too harsh towards Omni-Man, especially when he was telling Mark about his books, to which I yelled, “Screw your goddamn books!! You piece of shit!!!” It is a precarious situation of you don’t want Mark to abandon his principles, yet it is a matter of life and death. Especially against the Viltrumite with the proverbial and literal killer hair. I knew you’d comment words of a positve nature about that. The one Viltrumite voiced by Clancy Brown has my attention. Great to explore more of Eve’s story. Likewise, the Mauler plotline remains great. Debbie’s scenes got to me so bad. I agree with you that she does need to grieve. I LOVED the scene where Art stopped by and said the words of encouragement and kindness. That scene made me sob. Mark and Sandra were beyond excellent in their performance of those scenes, and your reaction to that scene was everything, Jess. The heart goes out to Donald as he continues to ascertain the truth of what happened to him. You are most welcome for the support for the reactions to the first half of this season. I look forward to continuing when the new episodes premiere. Until then, thank you for the most lovely reaction, Jess.
