Chapter #43: Live and let die.

The battle was over, Death eaters were too scared to fight back now and the ones who tried to were instantly outnumbered and killed, Harry's last project, the time reversing watch was a success, but a success he needed to keep to himself, a power like this shouldn’t fall on the hands of any other person, although he was planning to use it in the future to avoid embarrassing situations.

Right now, Harry was resting on a broken chair in the ruins of the Ministry of Magic. He was thinking about how things turned out like this; it was scary to think that if he hadn’t seen the Death Eaters killing people after curfew, none of this would’ve happened. Soon, his thoughts were interrupted the moment someone sat beside him.

“Tonks…” Harry said with a happy tone.

Soon, he embraced her in a way he hadn’t before. He didn’t want to let her go, to see her so broken, and then killed without him having the opportunity to grant the woman he loved her last wish was something that was going to haunt him for the rest of his life.

“It’s not real…It’s not going to happen this time,” Harry told himself, which caused Tonks to stare at him with a confused expression.

“Not real? Not happening this time? What are you talking about, Harry? Don’t tell me you licked that cactus Sirius bought from the Muggle world, Harry, those things are bad for your brain—” She was silenced with a kiss.

She was surprised by his actions, but in the end, she happily responded to the kiss. When it was over, their foreheads rested on each other’s.

“This is a new start…The world is about to change for good,” Harry told her. “I promise to always protect you,” he added, and she didn't know where that came from.

But since that day, Harry promised himself not to take things or people for granted, especially after losing them so brutally; if it weren’t for his magical watch, the outcome would have been so much different.

A year later…

People were gathered in a beautiful garden that belonged to the Potter family. It’s been a year since they overthrew the government. This whole year, many people have been arrested and some killed for refusing to surrender and face a trial for their crimes. The aftermath of the battle was a difficult time, but the moment finally came for Harry and Nymphadora.

“You can kiss the bride now,” Kingsley said to the happy couple.

A dark-haired wizard with emerald eyes was wearing a black suit as he kissed his beautiful purple-haired bride, and soon, everyone started to cheer for them, even Snape, who always treated Harry like crap, cheered for the couple as he sat next to his girlfriend, Hermione.

Henry was the loudest in the room, and Malfoy couldn’t help but smile at his partner’s reaction. And he was also happy for Harry and his cousin, of course, this year has served him to get to know her and the Potters better; he didn’t have the best relationship with his cousin, but at least they were friendly to each other, it was progress.

Sirius was sitting with the family, Lily and James hadn't looked this happy for a long time, they were even happier because Remus Lupin, their longtime friend was finally back after he was sent to spy on the werewolves, he was still angry they didn’t call him for the final battle but everything happened very fast, also, the rest of Harry friends and his research team were present on the party too.

The party kept going until it was time to wrap things up; it was time for the married couple to have their first night together.

“Thank you so much for coming to this day on which I married the most amazing witch in the world. We’re sorry to leave you guys, but we feel it’s time for us to rest. You guys can continue partying if you wish to. Thank you for coming,” Harry told them, and soon the couple was congratulated once again.

The parents shared some last words with the bride and the groom. But the time for them to go finally came, they needed to go to their hotel room before they leave tomorrow for their honeymoon, yes, they wanted to rest, but most importantly…

“Fuck, Tonks, I was on the verge of exploding back there. I want to fuck you, love,” Harry told her as he kissed her neck.

“Well, it’s great that you…You’re this eager to have me because I feel the same!” she said between moans.

As they walked inside the room, their clothes disappeared slowly. Tonks didn’t even care that she was damaging the dress; she just wanted to get rid of everything, and then, she was finally naked, just like him.

“Wow,” Harry knew he would never get tired of his wife’s amazing body.

“Come, Harry…I want you to take me as your wife for the first time,” she almost begged him.

Harry couldn’t help but smirk and soon, he was kissing her again before he carried her bridal style, soon, he placed her on the bed, a few kisses on her face and mouth and he slowly descended, his mouth tasted her neck, her chest, her stomach, especially her abs and then, he finally reached the place he wanted to reach the most.

“Ah…Yes, eat me out, please, Harry!” She begged, and Harry smirked.

“At your orders, my lady,” Harry couldn’t stop himself.

Soon, he started to eat her out as if his life depended on it. The moans she was releasing were like music to his ears. To say both of them were enjoying this would be an understatement, and then, the moment of truth had finally come; they’d done this countless times, but this was their first time as husband and wife.

“Yes…Fuck me, Harry!” Tonks begged as her husband fucked her without mercy.

Long gone is the meek and worried wife, now the passion has taken over her and Harry couldn’t be any happier, he was going to do anything he could to make this woman happy, ever since the incident at the ministry, every time he feels like he wants to give up, he remembers when he saw his love’s body lying on the floor.

Now that the war was over, their enemies locked up or dead and having been named the head of the research and innovations department of the ministry, just like Tonks became a high-ranking official in the Auror forces, he was going to try his best to make her happy.

He has achieved a lot of things this year but the thing he’s the proudest is the fact that he managed to marry Tonks, she was the woman of his dreams after all, not many men can say they married the person they've been in love with for a long time, all the sacrifices he made, all of them made this moment worth it, and he was going to try everything in his hands so that awful future he saw wouldn’t happen.

Yes, life was better now, and the couple was looking brightly at the future, thinking that this was only possible because he had two choices. Harry made the right bet and placed all his money on the best option; you either win or lose in these situations, especially when it’s either to live free or die.
