Helloo my beautiful flowers!

I hope you are well and are having a lovely April. Although it's autumn here in Tasmania we've had some beautiful, sunny weather lately and I've been soaking it all up knowing that the winter rain will come soon. 

I had a nice Easter, we happily take advantage of the excuse to eat lots of chocolate and Dan and I had an Easter hunt in the house (I won, of course 😋) and then I made a chocolate cake.

This month I've been enjoying illustrating just for fun a little more than I have in the past few months, which has been really nice! I slowed down on the illustrating earlier this year partly just to have a little break, because even though I love it I still need to take a break every once in a while to make sure it's sustainable and that I don't stop enjoying it.

I've also been working on another picture book which I've just started doing the full illustrations for. There are 24 pages plus the endpapers and cover so there's quite a lot to do and I think that'll keep me busy for the next few weeks!

I bought myself a new, small keyboard and a matching mouse and I think they're really cute! I like the smaller keyboard because it means I can have it next to my laptop and still use keyboard shortcuts when I'm illustrating, which saves me moving my arm around the screen so much.

They're also great for traveling, and being able to take my work with me while I travel has always been a big dream of mine. I would LOVE to be a digital nomad for a while and explore beautiful places and still make content and illustrate. I'd really like to spend some time in the UK (where I grew up), and take trips around Europe like to Italy and Portugal. I might be able to give it a go next year!
