7-9 Days, and No, I'm Not Recreating the New Superman Film For 28. (Patreon)

This is a com break render request for Chapter 28. This was quite tricky to make. I'll add this to the next batch of wallpapers, in case anyone wants it. Like the title says, I need 7-9 days more for rendering, audio (mostly EO's), and final editing. It's another long chapter; at this point, I think I'm incapable of making a short one, at least by book 2's definition of "short." Writing is hard; just when you thought you'd done it the best you could, you see a "better" way. I guess the biggest dilemma I had while making this arc was splitting it; deciding where/when/what to cut left me in a state of hair-pulling frustration. The scenes are written; it's all there, it's ready, but wait, it fits better here, it's better to tell it in this sequence, or my biggest gripe: what does it build to and how does it cohere to the point I'm trying to get across? I don't know if I'm making sense, but I think the easiest way I can explain this is by mentioning "The Legend of Akemi's Hair Braid." It's supposed to be in this chapter, but it was cut and moved to the next. Look out for it, and you'll see what I mean by then.

So what I've decided is that Lost Time Akemi's arc will be split into three chapters, or the second one will have parts 1 and 2, and that was my original plan, but the initial plotting of the scenes made it seem that merely two is better. And of course, plans change. The good news is that the two subsequent chapters of Lost Time Akemi's arc, will release a hell of a lot faster since the "distribution/sorting of scenes" issues I had will be fewer with each release, basically non-existent on the third. Each chapter needs to get a point, a message, and a theme across, and I'm doing this especially for those who play each chapter as they release. I have 5 pages' worth of leftover materials from this chapter alone; no need to worry, you'll see them on the next.The intervals between the next two will be so short, it won't even feel like it was two chapters that were released separately. As I said, we will be going on a spree. Even with the delay, I can still make the original timetable work, which says I'd have the next six chapters up before the year ends. Most of the preliminary preparation for it is done.Talking more about chapter 28It's an emotionally charged chapter and about growth, mostly. This is the most worried I have ever been in the development of a chapter; jumping into Lost Time has me anxious, but I take comfort in the fact that I gave it all that I can give at my current level.

This chapter will probably have the highest number of new character introductions in MTWY. Some will be recurring, some will be a one-off, but they all play a part in our characters' lives and their growth. I hate a dead world in AVNs when it's not supposed to be; it's absolutely maddening. Those AVNs where the only characters are the LI and the MC in each scene, when it's supposedly not, it takes me out of the immersion. World-building is critical to the story.
